It would be interesting to note the number of intersections a map would have if you put your monument in it...
Curious enough I thought about that, and also... With the way I set up monument sets, I'm thinking of having several different areas with the different monuments, to which you'll have to know which one to go to. I'll need input on that though, because I'm not sure if people would be as satisfied with completing little ones that are scattered instead of the whole 42 pieces in one area

Hmm, I could see splitting the monuments up leading to a sense of... drudgery? "Yay, monuments done! Now, time to complete the monument." Having all of the monument pieces in one area lends itself to a growing sense of accomplishment. However, one of the new 1.7 changes does offer an idea.
Since named items now show their name when they are in an item frame, do you think it might work to have a separate 'monument of monuments' with item frames for each of the other monuments that, when you complete them, you get a special named item to put in the frame? Honestly don't know if that would be any better or might be more of a problem, but I offer it anyway.

That's actually a pretty cool idea. I might have to set up block recognition redstone in each monument, but where would I dispense the item? That's my only issue, figuring out how to give the player the reward. I could put a chest with the item in it to start, but receiving something that was never in existence before is more rewarding in my opinion. Thanks for the idea!

Mhhh, that definetely is a unique idea. Though travelling from monument to monument just to place a piece, meh. I think players might get annoyed with going from the clay monument to the wool monument and then to the block monument (just an example). I prefer having a central hub or monument area, where you can go to each intersection, but yeah. Your map, your decision, do what you want.

I'm excited for the map anyways
Yeah that's exactly how I'm feeling about it, so I might change up the room instead. I'm thinking of a giant cavernous area monuments along the circular walls. Actually that's what I'll finish first as a schematic, and replace the picture I have in place for my second map. It shouldn't take too long (the post of the picture will be a very simple version of the finished room)
I'm actually liking the look of the room so far, most of the branching is done but I'll have to decide which monuments will go where. Preferably the higher in the room the monument is, the most/least difficult, depending on how I introduce the room
Any plans on nerfing zombies or skeletons in Safe Haven? I mean, the 1.5 / 1.6 updates ruined quite a bit of maps with AI changes.
Once I complete a list of changes that could impact the way my maps work, I'll have poling system to see what people think. Some people like the newer challenge of smarter AI

Want an example? I died 8 times to zombies in Kaizo Caverns (Cavern of Sky). Especially since they can now suicide bomb you from the top of cliffs.

That's a pretty good example... I hate the new AI for zombies, although they were pretty useless beforehand. I'll have to put the new map in a beta test like the last, with the new version (Version 1.7 most likely)
I will definitely upload one once it's 100% finished, and it will probably be my opening picture for the map (like the overhead of the other is for Safe Haven)
This engineering project is killing me right now... no free time to do anything ahaha :/ Open ended problems suck! Should be able to get that picture ready by the end of the weekend hopefully
