Looks good so far! Not played too much yet, I cleared out a nearby island and set up some farms and a small house.
Going to gather food then take an expedition in a boat down the river to see what I can find before I venture into the jungle.
One minor issue is in the main ship, below deck is not lit properly so hostile mobs spawn in it, would be nice if that was a one safe zone.
Also a quick question, is this based off the book heart of darkness? I have never read it, but I have watched Apocalypse Now which was based on it and I can see that my journey down the river is going to be similar to the film
Nice progress, it is fun seeing what people do with my map! Also, the bottom of the ship is intended to be a bit hostile, I didn't want to make it too easy.
I will keep updating with my progress, this map deserves more attention.
Do you make maps a lot? I love this blend of harsh survival/adventure
Yes, I have made Quad Mountain Survival and Tri Mountain survival along with a few others. If you search for Tri Mountain then you should find most of my maps.
Where exactly is your El Dorado? I've found a stone shrine deep in a valley (though both the treasure and me were destroyed by the nice little booby trap you had in there, I won't spoil what it was,) a golden structure in the middle of the jungle made up of around 4.5 stacks of gold blocks (with a pair of jack'o'lanterns and diamond blocks in it,) as well as the large stone outcropping in the cliffside featured in your trailer (as well as the chest containing treasures within, again I won't spoil it for others.) None of the three seemed to constitute a "city of gold" though; what gives?
The map is very well made, but I would suggest adding more caves - the random craters within and in the sides of mountains turning out to be very short dead ends got quite annoying in a short period of time, especially with how little there is to find already.

I found those too, (except for the gold thing) but I still can't find El Derado ANYWHERE! (mabey behind a waterfall, or underground?)

There are a few mountains in which there are massive cave systems, look a little harder and you should be able to find some huge cave systems and possibly El Dorado .

I've found a couple extensive systems now, as well as both volcanoes and a swamp-type area. I grew tired of searching for the city so I threw on fly and no-clip in an effort to find it - still not a single sign of it, nor of any subterranean structure I had not already found. According to your topographical map, El Dorado is not above ground - given that and my hour-long noclip search, I'm not inclined to believe it exists or at the very least it's not in any location to be feasibly found by a player.

This map is loosely based on the book.
