I have been making this AdventureCraft map for a little bit now, and I think it is far enough donw the road that you guys can test it! I would love any feed back what-so-ever!
The story:
After a long day tending to your fields, killing monsters, and riding pigs, you settle down for some rest. While asleep, something that seems like a dream takes you to a place you shouldn't have been, you were knocked unconscious by an unknown person or thing. You then wake up to find that your dream is seeming more like reality than not. You find yourself awakening dazed on an island.......somewhere.........
This island is proving though to have more secrets than before thought. And so your journey into a place you once thought fiction, becomes a little to real....a little to fast.

READ THIS! THIS IS IMPORTANT!
You may want to run this map with some of the lowest settings. This is due to the lighting calculations and the scripts. I can run this at what would be considered medium settings (normal fog, fancy graphics, smooth lighting) with little to no lag. If your specs are better than mine, then don't worry, otherwise I would turn the settings down to what I am using or lower!

This was really fun to play! Can't wait until an update. I really want to know what's going on with this whole lab and factory place.
Thanks man! I'm currently expanding the factory and making new items to help give the map some more atmosphere along with making more logs to help expand the story and fill in plot holes. But, unfortunately, because I am doing all this at once, it may be a little bit before I have a new release. So, hang tight!
I am having some problems with the current scripting system in that I need to be able to do certian things, and I am disabled/can't do them. So, it may be a little while before I can create a work around. Also, expect certain peices of the map to change. Like some blocks in the labs will be replaced with models to help give atmosphere to the map.
Some of the SoundFX will be altered along with new ones being added, again, for atmosphere.
I am also adding new items to help the sense of immersion when playing the map. An adventure game only becomes an adventure when you have a treasure map right? So, expect some new items!
I have come to the conclusion that you guys would much rather play the map when it is not very good looking but complete, than play it when it looks awesome, but is very in-complete. So I have, for now, scraped the scripting of models to replace blocks and stuck to adding to the current map and scripting items.
I have most of the SoundFX I want either downloaded and placed in the map folder or implemented.
I have also found myself in need of a good texture artist. So if you want to work on the textures for Into The Unknown, PM me!

As for the update scheduled for today:
I am adding final touches here and there to this update, so it may not be uploaded until late today. Also, remember this is NOT an
aesthetic update! This only updates the map in playability, so the map won't have any fancy models or textures....yet. I do hope you guys like the additions I may though!
I have not added very much since I uploaded Into the Unknown for the first time, I have found that I am running dry of ideas.....so the next update may be a little bit. I have added a new section to the growing factory. I have also added a new weapon for you to play with along with modifying current weapons with sounds an effects make help the immersion. I have found that Cryect (the creator of Adventurecraft) has not created a scripting reference for people like me who want to do cool things with it, I instead have to guess and check until something goes click. But the next update will be a milestone for Into The Unknown, for it shan't be updated until it is at 50%
So, please hang tight!!!!!!!
P.S. I thought this would help explain the work I have been doing, or the lack there-of: I am currently going to school and working a job, so I have my hands pretty full. Patience Please & thank you!
I just realized, the update has you starting out with WAY to much health. So, when you start, just hit F4, then T, then type "/health"

How da hell did you built this forest? Is it some kind of script, map that has been used or just a good tool?
Got an error when I took all the stuff from the first chest inside of random ruined house behind the wall. It says that player.getInventory.setSlot doesn't exist and you need to check out #177 - onUpdate.js
Why do I need a bow anyways, it's peace of ****.
It's so random, random thoughts, random house in the middle of the random place with a random chest and a random hearth container that IS a full peace of health so why not to drop it down with spawner instead of having this shitty error all over. And I have no idea what to do next, cleared out all those worthless triggers and what am I the only one confused?....
(My first my was something like that... completely random idea, completely random story and no way to figure out what to do. Though it didn't had any lag problems...)
I put everything there for a reason. The problem is that everyone right now is playing an early beta, so it is still incomplete. So a lot of what seems random, actually isn't because it is explained later in the map. I do very much appreciate the feedback though! I will look at that script and see if I can reproduce your error, then fix it. I also have a question: How far did you get? It sounds like you didn't get past the "Overworld." Which might attribute to your confusion. I would recommend exploring the ENTIRE Overworld. (I have realized that my transisition from open-world to linear is a very bad one)
I will also remove the bow. I have realized that you are quite right.
Also, the forest was generated in MC-Edit 64-bit. The trees are rainforest and banyan.
I almost forgot that this thread is here! Sorry guys for not posting updates! I have spent a lot of my time doing work, so I have only been able to work on this map during the weekends. I also am having a "Writer's Block" moment were I am at a loss of ideas. So, progress really has slowed to a halt. I have (fortunately) been able to update the textures. Now I wan you guys to give 98% of the credit the creator of the LB PhotoRealism texture pack!!!! I have updated a lot of the textures according to the LB PhotoRealism texture pack. The textures are now 64x64 pixels instead of 32, and this makes the map look sooooooo much better!!!

I know it has been a while since my last update, but it turns out that I have run into a MASSIVE snag with the scripting system. It doesn't have enough low-level functionality. For instance, I can't load files from the disk (something that Java and PHP can do) I also am unable to create objects in JavaScript :/
I don't mean objects like a data structure, I mean like a class with members and methods. I need to be able to do this in order to obtain what I want. I also cannot access any rendering methods, so I can't make it really pretty. :,(
So, I am in the current process of finding work arounds for these problems.
I have also come up dry with Ideas, so the current map hasn't expanded much. I have been to focused on the scripting issue along with my own projects and work. But hopefully I'll have something for you guys soon!

I was making some of the labs and the factory, but then ran out of ideas :/

Second, The development of the map has run into some snags which is causing fatal issues. We (My little sister and I) and currently trying to find work arounds and time to work on the map. She and I don't have a lot (or sometimes any) time to work on this project. But I guarantee, This map will be FINISHED! No half-doing this thing!
Alright, I am getting to be about 75% done with scripts. I just need to create a couple custom mobs and a vehicle (that's right, a vehicle). As far as building the map goes, I am about 66% done. The map is getting close to the point of having a teaser trailer!

I have found though that I am exposing a LOT of bugs and "needs-to-implement"s in AdventureCraft. It might be a while before I get this thing completely finished. But, it will be finished! no half-assing this map! no sir! 100% complete the only acceptable percent complete!!
This map is Awesome, but i was kinda lost the first time i played it... i played this a long while ago... found it at the wiki remember to check out my newest map I love the textures newly added to game, and i see some of them are from "The Shadow Gate" by NanoEdge/VPtkm

I am having some problems with the current scripting system in that I need to be able to do certian things, and I am disabled/can't do them.
