Have you thought about changing the biomes? You could have several chunks as overworld biomes to induce regular monster spawning and the limited space would create a large mob density (this should still work, right?). It would also cut down on the enormous amount of pigmen standing around doing nothing.
But my dream was in hell. Granted it was a more demonic version than I can create (there's not really any curves in Minecraft, which is why we don't have a female option in Minecraft... yep, went there) so I really want to keep it hell. Plus I like giving the feeling of conquering something completely to where nothing else bad can happen. And the limited space would make it really, really evil. Plus, I like the pigmen. Good food and all that.
Yeah, I've sort of dropped off the grid, haven't I?
Uh I guess if anyone's wondering, I'm working in a collaboration project, a large ass seekrit project, and I'll probably be ditching the current 2 maps. Probably closing this thread too.
I'll probably restart Temerity after 1.5 comes out. We have the new superflat changes which make mapmaking that much easier, and with any luck, the light bugs will be fixed. That's been a long time coming.
Ok. So I know this thread is... dead (I use this word tentatively as I know that once #3 comes out the posts will come flooding in), but I figured I'd give feedzbak.
I'm playing Subconsciously Challenged now, I just died due to the bloodbath on top of the large tree, and I'll probably restart later. Jeez, It's hard to imagine there's actually a map beyond all this. Not only did I spend forever digging a tunnel under the tree, and then dealing with the feesh as I tried to secure a path INTO the tree, but my armor broke on the way in causing me to get obliterated by anything that caught me off guard. The fire and pain and suffering and blazes on top of Mt. Giga Tree (Just a nickname I thought up while scaling it. I think it fits quite well) caught me off guard. Ah well, at least I went out in a blaze of glory!
*Ba-dum* *Crash*
But anyways, I love the maps. I'm rather experienced with CTM maps (Like, hard ones. I don't mean "Oh yea I beat Sea of Flame 2, i a pro lol"), so I'm loving the sheer survival aspect of this. I've never had to think so much within 5 minutes of a map, let alone been this scared of messing up before even having one objective complete. You sir understand CTM maps, and this series needs more fans.
