And I'm back from my month in Cananananandia! I hiked about 50 miles, canoed 60, saw moose, caribou, bald eagles, snapper turtles, deer, and a whale, and have significantly more bug bites and am more tan than when I started out. I had a wonderful time, and hopefully I can do something like this again next year-- while I might try and save up to go to a country like Italy or France, it's such an amazing feeling being in the wilderness, chopping your own wood and cooking your own food. And of course it's cheaper than staying in a hotel.
Anyways, sorry for that little off-topic thing. I am sure glad to be back! Wow, quite a bit has happened while I was gone. Congrats Lemb on meeting Jeb, and congratulations to Mr. Halfstack on all the (well-deserved) praise you're getting on VF I and II. Since I was gone for a month without my computer, something quite strange has happened-- when I started up Minecraft for the first time upon getting back, it felt like I was playing the game for the very first time again. Remember that feeling you got when you started playing Minecraft? That sense of adventure and excitement, not knowing what anything was? Hiding from monsters at night and hearing them growl at your door? Well, I downgraded MC to 1.7, the version I started playing in, loaded up my very first world, and walked around. It was so sad but so happy at the same time, having that feeling again of "new game". It was really cool.
Bah, after typing this post I realize most of it was off-topic. Oh well. Anyways, I'm glad to be back again.

Sounds like a dream vacation for me! I love the outdoors and pretty much all the cool stuff you got to do. It's good for ya! Yeah, VF is doing pretty well. Working on the next one

May I ask how far along you are, about, on VF III? And your progress on the zombie minimap, if you're still doing that?
no offence, but you are one heck of a crazy motherf**ker. judging after the trailer of the vinyl fanatsy and the "about" section in the first vinyl fanatsy

Just in the planning stages of VFIII, looks like its going to be a cave style inspired by super metroid. The zombie map, well, still building houses, once I get a handful of houses I'll be able to put together the suburban style neighborhood and progress should pick up after that
Thanks for the return greetings, simon and 32. And gratz on the OOGE/Mindcrack spotlight for VF2! Fun group of LPer's on a killer map and bdubs finding trouble the fastest. OOGE with their first episode and me with my second.
I'm not sure how I feel about this "special something" in the Blackest Bog but I do hope OOGE stumbles upon it as well.
Im having trouble downloading The VYII, for somereason it doesnt apear in my game...
When you unarchive the .zip do not put the resulting folder in your saves folder. Instead open the resulting folder and you should get a readme.txt and another VFII folder, that's the one you want in your saves folder.
Really it's just time constraints being the issue. I'm pretty busy during the summer. Also, there is so much great stuff being added in 1.3 that I want to wait for it before releasing anything. With as long as it seems to take me to produce a full Vinyl Fantasy map, I'll probably try and squeeze a mini-map in before VFIII. Just all up in the air at the moment
Also, you misspelled 'three_two's Vinyl Fantasy' in your banner
I think if you find some time, you should make a rant video about 1.3 I think that would be awesome.
Also, can't wait for another masterpiece from you, even if it's a mini-map!
glad to have you back Mr.Killarite
Oh Simon, I've got some catching up to do, I'm about three episodes or so behind on your series.
Yeah baby!
