Aaand, a really weird bug just hit that that I'm fairly pissed about...
I went through the Nether Portal, step out begin walking...
and notice my inventory has reset to what it was about 20 minutes ago. I have no idea why, and luckily I know what I had and such, but it really confuses me, as now I have doubles of some enchanted items that I shouldn't have extras of.
EDIT: Well, to make matters even better, I reload the world and find myself falling into lava and dying for no apperant reason. Time to go install some mods to get that stuff back...
Hey wait, aren't you the guy that didn't want to use the mod I said you must use?
J/K man! I really don't know how the map could cause that. I do know that I've seen the weird things happen with this map on a version I tested without the lights out mod. Custom biomes reverting to their original state, blocks disappearing etc. Shouldn't have anything to do with LO but, the only time this map does weird stuff like that is when the mod is not installed.
BTW area 3 will most definitely be affected by phantom skylight errors.
Edit: Sigh. Except, the video is freaking out again. I'm not sure why. The files are fine if I open them with windows media player or whatever, but once they're uploaded to youtube they have bugged out sections. I think I'm just gonna keep recording :/ It's either that or just not do an LP...which is also viable. Loving the map so far though
Many Youtubers are having this problem. The one's I watch say they're just going to keep recording, but wait to upload until Youtube fixes the problems..
ARGH, MUST I TALK IN CAPSIES TO GET MAH POINTS THROUGH?
OK, I will not. But will Hybran or Fangride (someone who's far along in the map) post screenshots of all the lewtz they have so far? I'm curious about what type of supplies one gets by the part of the map you're by.
Dangit Vetches Halfstack, I was determined to be the first one to finish this map, but I am playing Waking Up first.
Hmm.....
Aw, screw the Waking Up playthrough, I'm starting VF II tonight. Prepare for derps!

Well, I fixed it thanks to a few screenies I'd taken. Just re-created all the items.
Now for feedback part 3...
Alright, so my disc has been placed, and I went to the Nether area below, using a Water Bucket I created, and grabbed a lava bucket as well. Entered the Nether, fixed my horrible nasty glitch of doom, and then proceeded to blitz all three of the Disc dungeons that I've found. For the Last Resort, the Blazes didn't spawn until my way back, which made things really, really easy. Got out by breaking a sign and jumping, and then proceeded into the Fortress thingy. I rushed through and got into the dungeon quickly. I then simply ran through the floors without stopping except for to loot some food from the chests. About halfway down I suddenly lagged my **** off and hit esc so I could wait to work out what the hell was going on. Turns out a Ghast had hit the Gravel and it was falling. After about 5 minutes I was able to get it working again and continued on my merry way, with a burning Pentagram to greet me. I made it to the bottom, jumps through the flames and using my fancy Efficiency 5, Unbreaking 5 Pick, snapped through the spawners and found the disc below. 11 achieved
I then went into the Belly of the Beast area, following my same pattern of running as fast as bloody possible. I immediately got into the water after lewting the bow, and then hurried through the passage and into the spider room. Oh... the spider room. I wasn't sure where to go quite next, so spent awhile in the fake trees. I then noticed the door and fell. Ended up fending off levels 7-17 worth of spiders with my amazing golden sword of doom, then busted into the room and contnued. Immediately got into the water and spotted a Magma Cube as I climbed but was only in that room for a few seconds. Dropped down into the icy blaze room, and went under the ice as expected. I clung to the wall, using torches to give me air, and quickly assaulted the Birdcage as soon as I saw it. Got the wool, swam back up using the torches and repeated the whole "Run like hell" experience through the dungeon.
I wandered for a bit, trying to work out where the "fourth" challenge was that the Darkness had spoken of, and finally stumbled across Zombieland, USA. I'm standing there now, ready to assault it!

Lots of well enchanted Golden Armor seems to be the late-game stuff I'm getting. I'm just now finding Diamond, but the Golden gear is especially good.

Well here you go Isaac, this is some of my loot after clearing part of Area 3.
Zombeville was possibly the easiest loot grabbin' area ever.
Rarely any spawners, tons of diamond loot, golden apples for DAYS! I also got a crapton of porkchops. I sadly missed out on the Diamond Pick because the Proximity Bomb under that blew that up and (lucky me) I was over on the other side (I entered by roof)
Last Resort was a nightmare when I first saw it.
Fire Resist and Power 1 Bow ftw
Turned out to be fairly easy, still tense though.
I also did Dead Richard's Flux. Was there supposed to be a birdcage there, or not? Either way I got a hefty supply of...supplies from it.

Same on all three, except I got the Diamond Pick by a hairsbreath. I really enjoyed Dead Richard's, but I expected a birdcage as well. I'm down to the last two discs now as well...
going to be started a duo lp wiht a friend, i wont be recording, but ive played a little of the map so far, and i have some questions:
started out, nice story, I noticed the island was lighted up like day, yet mobs covered the surface entirely. is this some lgihting glitch? (btw i do have antifreeze and lightsout)
I ran out in a random direction, had no time to read signs. After a very long swim, i came to some islands wiht grass, trees, stone and coal. Perfect start. I set up a base, had some string, sued fih as food, and i found the sub area. went exploring, saw a nice smiley face, realized it wasnt happy for me, but rather HAPPY TO KILL ME, and i somehow escaped alive.
questions:
is the first island suppoed to be mob covered and or somehow dark glitched?
what is the name of the area i am at?

Damn the End is being fickle!
You guys are too fast! You take after old three_two
there is a birdcage in area 3 just not in dead Richards flux. That's just for crazy loot gettin'

sorry for double posting, but i just found this, and now i know why it is dark-ey at spawn, and why there is the old canopy carnage "forever rain"
No trick to the forever rain, I just started a thunderstorm right before I saved the map. Should end sometime. Or, make a bed
So am I the first done? Cuz I'm all done The End was more tactical than I expected after the "DON'T EFFING STOP RUNNING" that was the Nether.
My only question... Any resolution to the story? I'm not seeing any, after all of the discs.
That's it!
Now for my final little write-up then...
Alright, for Zombie USA, I finished happily hopping across the tops of the houses, got into the "My house" area, easily conquered it and grabbed the disc and hightailed it out of there. I returned to the Overworld, and finally ventured over to the "3" section. I looked around, finally spotted and grabbed the disc from the birdcage after some hastle, and continued upward. I realized I was in area three from the top part that I'd totally ignored, and after realizing there wasn't anything there, I stacked upwards and began assaulting Dead Richard's. Finally stole the loot, sad to see it wasn't a disc, and finally worked my way over to area 1 from the top, and found Foot's Giant-ass sword. Nice little wink
I worked my way down into it, annoyed to find that I HAD to go down the place where all the mobs were coming from. I basically did a Zisteau-Peaceful-Lake and made stacks on the way down, and finally made it into the loot room... And found it was only loot :/ I expected a birdcage from that sort of difficulty. Almost died about twenty times and used a stack or so of arrows.
Finally, with four discs left to go, I made my way into the End...
First one I went to was Translucent. And oh my god that was beautiful. Amazing. Beat it pretty quickly, ignoring the TnT and ran like hell of out there.
Next I assaulted The Enemy Mine. Getting to the middle was quite easy with my overabundance of Fire Resistance pots. I worked my way up and slowly began working my way through the maze-y stuff. I was really on my toes after the first prox-bomb, and it kept getting nastier from there. I finally busted into the disc room and made myself a small tunnel to protect myself from the blazes. Got the disc, ran like hell again, made my way down and splashed my next fire-resistance potion to get back through the lava and exited Enemy Mine.
Next, I ended up going to VIF (I think it was called) with all the wood. I slowly made my way through it, found the big wool room, and was a bit confused as to where to go. I decided to make my way, thinking it was like Hospital Inferno, and discovered that it most definently wasn't. Everything started exploding and my gawd it was scary. I died here :/
I made my back, happy to find my stuff NOT gone and perfectly safe, and stacked my way up to the top. I found the hole and made my way through the bedrock cube-y thing. Only one Cave Spider bothered to assault me, so I found the disc and hightailed it out pretty easily. Finally, I went to the last area, being the Creator one. God that was cool. All the wool just looked so awesome, and the peaceful-looking land in the middle was seriously awesome. I found the cave system in a copse of trees and went in. I worked my way through the dungeon killing things along the way. Wasn't honestly too difficult, but it was hard to get past your funboxes Finally found the last Disc and started the bridge. I ran out of Stone Bricks on the way and was forced to use wooden planks, which was scary as hell. Blazes and Ghasts made it difficult, but I got the disc, replaced some of my wooden planks and just ran. Once I got out of range, I started building upwards, got onto the top of the island and found my way out. I then triumphantly made my way back to the JBM, put my final discs into the monument and took my final snapshot, ending, I think, Vinyl Fantasy II.
Now I should likely play number 1...
I really, really enjoyed this one. The "intersections" were fantastic, in that they were open-world linear branching, which is a really mind-blowing concept Beautiful structures and challenging environments made this one tons of fun. It wasn't *too* hard, but I felt it was much harder at the start than it was at the end. I could actually just rush through later dungeons, while I had to actually be tactical on the earlier ones, though the End areas were certainly a lot more tactical.
My dreams are crushed! Fangride, will you post some pictures of your inventory and chests closing out the map? Thanks a million to Avidy for posting those screenies, but I'd be interested also to see the end-game loot.
And heh Hybran! You have finally been bested...
meanwhile, I haven't even started on the map. Derp.

Well, I got diamonds last, so I just had a ton of that Enchanted gold. It's not really anything impressive, but I'll snap a few shots for you.
EDIT: Alright, went ahead and enchanted my Diamond and snapped some pictures. I really didn't collect/hang on to most of my gathered materials. A lot of it got dumped, so I only had one chest.
Note: I had it on creative so I could properly take the JBM picture, thus the random items on the far side of my inventory.
Sweet lord. I've only wrapped up area 1 and I've already put in 8 hours. Granted, everyone has different play styles and my style usually means I take twice as long to beat a map than the average. Still, that's insanely fast. Well done.
I want to play this new map so badly, but i'm saving it to co-op with my friends... I guess I'll just beat Nightmare Realm... (Not super far in, but stil at 0 deaths )
I honestly enjoy a slower playstyle the first time through...not just saying that. There's definitely a time and a place for speedruns in my book, but I enjoy carefully wandering through CTM maps the first time around and building aesthetic bases etc. Just my personal preference. But regardless, great work to those that have already finished it! Very speedy

Unless Hybran finished it and he's just hiding it from us... it's his little seekret. :3
Well, I feel I successfully distracted him with a Beta copy of my map that I finished first...
