Thank you again to everyone! You've inspired us to work extra hard on this map!
I think as minecon looms ever closer, we'll be revealing new features of the MMBRPG pretty much daily.
Thanks again for the continued, and never undervalued support!

I really like the concept about the player's choices change the world around him/her.
However, it would be fairly tricky to pull off without showing wired pistons in areas. I think this could be done, though. I'll give it a try on my next adventure map. :smile.gif:
It's not done yet. This page is to gain support and ideas. The download link will be posted as soon as it's finished, which will be after the full release of Minecraft :smile.gif:

Thank you! We've thought about it, and we'll talk about how we're going to do that soon enough :smile.gif: We're also thinking that you can choose who you want to be, though we're not revealing how just yet :smile.gif: Keep checking back for new stuff!

You should release a preview map, that way we can walk around your(unfinished) map and give you suggestions and ideas! But, how will you incorparate NPCs into this map?

Thats a really good idea actually :smile.gif: I think we'll do that, There will be however be a few problems, regarding the way you 'leave' the tutorial city, but we will do that. In 1.9, all mobs will be constant, so no de-spawning, so we'll just spawn em in, and hope they don't wander too far :smile.gif:
Hopefully, they'll be interactive soon enough! I might get to work making a preview map :smile.gif: Oh! I''ll just copy the cities onto a flat map... Sound good?

It's a texture pack I've made for this map, and has a lot of dokucraft built in as placeholders... I'm contemplating releasing it, or rather, releasing the terrain .png along witha test map...

Yay! But there's also this nice mod on minecraftforum, it's called simple NPCs by FlaFla. With it you can make stand-still NPCs that can talk and have customizable skins, they can also sell items for other items! :ohmy.gif:
What do you mean by the "way you 'leave' the tutorial city"? :huh.gif:
How do you leave it? By some special way?
Thats a very good idea! However, we'll not be using mods, for the sake of making the map easily accessible for everyone. :smile.gif: Besides which, we've got our own special way of giving quests and conveying the story, we'll talk about that later, so keep tuned!
Haha, we're being vague about that on purpose, you'll have to wait and see. :smile.gif:
Oh I see, it's good you're not using mods!
By the way, what are the ale brrrels really, sponges?

Barrels are dispensers, so you can loot them, sponge is now thatch, so the texture pack is going to a must for this map :smile.gif:
Actually, I'm not too sure how you'd loot an ale barrel, but it does look good :smile.gif:

Oh, then you should make soup full ale bottels and bowls empty ale bottels!
Is Notch really that incapable of learning from his mistakes? :\
Yeah, They won't de-spawn once spawned. I like the idea, though admittedly notch has gone a bit crazy with updates. I think I'd like the world generation if the oceans weren't so damn big, I've sailed across one for at least ab hour once. It's silly, It makes the main land feel small, and it kinda feels more limited then the old worlds... But yes, constant mobs, so you'll have to fight off waves at some point, which allows us to limit the use of spawners...I'm seriously considering putting this map into a 1.7 world...Or should it be 1.8?.. The problem is oceans are making the world very difficult to traverse.
