learn teh basics of minecraft before trying survival maps :biggrin.gif:<3
You wish. If that happened then there wouldn't be nearly 30 people asking how to get wheat, 20 asking how to make torches, and another 30 asking how to install map. The thread would be nothing but feedback, pictures, videos, and thanks. That's far too much to ask of a community.

Nope, people who dont know the basics should play one of these maps. It's a great way to learn things you might not know. Like I thought you could only make torches with coal and sticks. I did not know you can burn charcoal and I have been playing Minecraft for some time. Likewise I did not know you could make wool from spiderweb.
Also pushes you to use things you stayed away from. Like streaming water off the side you can use it as a water lader and build under the island. I knew how to do it but always find swimming in 1 stream using a laptop with trackpad a pain in the rear.
I LOVE this map, I always get bored with maps once I have gathered a lot of resources, this makes you be very careful with the resources you have.
Craft the melon slice into seeds, then plant this onto hydrated farmland, with more adjacent. The stalk will grow and spawn a melon on the farmland, converting it back to regular dirt, and giving you precious food.
Put the melon on your workbench to make seeds which you can then plant. I would suggest doing the mob island first as the bones are handy to make bonemeal for plant growth. Specially if you are using 1.9 as the map is in a winter biodome.
DFLJSNDFLJSNDFKJSNDFJKSNDFKJSNDFSKJDNFSKDJNFSKDJFNSDKFJN!!!! THIS SUXXX!!!! This map was rally fun!!! But the download link for normal was broken so i had to download HARDCORE! I was super wealthy! I made a super efficient cobble system. I got like 12 stacks of cobble! I made other things as well! I Went to go make a Mob system. I finished it. It worked! But they'd dint drop QUITE enough. One hit and they died. So i went to go all the way up into the air to plug it up. I had made a backup incase i died. So i died (fell off). I restored the backup and made another. I kept dying and i went through like 3 backups. finally i was on a back up, and i went to go make one, when JUST as i was pressing esc, a skelly shot me into the void and i died. Keep in mind, this all happend, this huge loss happened because the damn download for normal survival was broken. I HOPE YOU FELL BETTER YOU DAMN MEDIAFIRE!!!!

You don't need flint and you can make coal (see the wiki)

But wait, leaving the island is against the rules... or maybe it's just that you can't use mainland resources to complete the challenges.
