Wow. That was simply awesome. Beautiful. Creative. Detailed. FRESH. The -only- thing I can complain about
is the mob density. But you know what... that's never been why I play these adventure maps.
The thing is, the map is supposed to be very hard and challenging.
There are quite a few people that were able to finish it on normal, not sure about hard.
I will give a hint for those struggling. In the dark areas, fight your way forward and drop torches, then fall back a bit and fight. Do it again and take mroe ground and place torches. it might hard, but thats the point. :smile.gif:
Redstone glitch is unfortunate. I think it is the distance (possibly combined with nether). Signals just
'stop' traveling after 200 or so blocks. Possibly if you have too many repeaters, possibly if that part of the
game that the redstone signal flows into isn't loaded into memory. I have this same issue in my Mars Mission
map I'm working on and had to completely re-do the redstone.
So I just used /fly to get across.
The deal with the redstone bug is that, it only happens once every 20 or so times. I am going to continue testing but I don't think its fixable. I am also pretty sure the portal jumping is what causes it.

I typically try and manuever the creepers so they blow up on the other mobs, use the terrain to my advantage, etc... And of course, run screaming, drop torches as you go, until you can get thru a door and close it behind you.
I don't necessarily mind a good hard map, but I do mind when creepers blow up the construction that someone took many hours/days/weeks to create.
After I do my ratings play through, I sometimes go back and play it "for fun" or with my son on Multiplayer.
Either way, even on peaceful this would be an enjoyable map. If players like the challenge of mobs - they can have that too. Everyone wins.
Good news, looks like i was able to solve the redstone problem with the bridge. At the same time I seem to have invented an as of yet unknown redstone device! I will make a video about it and upload it to youtube.
I am uploading the new version now and I also took the liberty of adjusting the item counts and mob trouble areas. The map will still be hard but it won't be quite so ridiculous in some areas.
I really don't know how to describe the difficulty of this map. If you are not the creator of this map, or the creator of minecraft, you do not lack the expertise to overcome this map's difficulty.
Here's some constructive criticism-
remove creepers
thats all that needs to be done, and then it might be possible to do it without cheating. But otherwise, i liked the storyline and the creativity and the construction of the map was amazing.
