Ah, Vechs, A hero among men! Keep up the great work, your maps are fantastic and thank you for the experience, it's definatly changed my whole perspective on the world of minecraft. I can't wait for your up coming map, I swear it feels like I'm counting down the days until the release of 1.3, that is if their is a set release date yet, eh their probably is, I'm just too dumb to know... Anyways Thanks Again! ( I know thats not the order they go in, but its the thought that counts, right?)
Hey Vechs, if they ever were to add more colour wools to Minecraft, would you ever change the style of your maps? Again, this is just saying that if they were to ever add more colours of wool.
I was just looking at a few of sethblings videos, and he said that you could make mobs invincible by adding resistance 4 to them through mcedit and other stuffs.
................
Game over man, Game over.
Well they'll still despawn if out of range. But with hyperspawners, trip wires, Minecraft is gettin intense.
Did you know that with NBTedit, you can change the size of a mob? You can make a slime, or a skeleton, or a creeper, or anything as big or small as you want. Of course, hostile mobs will despawn, but just imagine running into a creeper 30 blocks high, that is invincible and has fire resistance, speed, regen, AND it's a lightning creeper... Ah, Inferno Mines is going to be a ton of fun.
I'm just here revelling in the fact that a year of my life has been devoted to routine visits to this thread. It is a holy minecraft pilgrimage I must make once a week, to see if a new map hath descended from the world above to consistently send me to the world below.
That being said, I can somehow see another CTM map maker having their map be on the front page. I can also see some cookie cutter vechs designs in it and then flame descending upon this thread. Since your maps are made of blocks from minecraft instead of something far less mainstream they are clearly uninspired rip offs. Thats just my opinion of this community's logic.

Be sure to bring a spare pare of pance! You'll need'em!
So guys, regarding my previous post (http://www.minecraft...3#entry15174533) and after playing more Lethamyr, I got in the mood of drawing a little comic about it, and wanted to share it with you guys.
That's me poking fun at the fact it took me too long to remember how blazes did indeed give contact damage, even using the fire resist potion. Damn you memory!
I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it. XD
Props to you vechs.. i've been playing your Nightmare Realm map... Not expecting most of these evil traps you come up with.
The floating snow is the one that's pissed me off the most (so far)
I like your stuff, but right now, i'm hating it lol

We don't want to be seeing that, especially if it was buffed with that stuff... yeesh, I can imagine it now...

And yes, my Blaze is called Bruce. xD
You are awesome. I wish I know how to draw like that, what drawing program are you using?
Every bloody CTM map series boasts that it's bigger, longer, and harder than other CTM series. It's almost as if it's a **** measuring contest. (bigger, longer, harder...)
Hey Vechs, I'm trying to make myself a map.
But I'm not looking for a "sponsor", but i have an issue.
I created a giant cube (1000*1000*128) of sandstone, where i'll put my map...But if i create a cavern inside the light changes with the day/night light of Minecraft and if i spawn a skeleton or a zombie he catches fire...have you any ideas to fix that?

That is a common bug with the new map format. You know what chunks are, right? well, each chunk is now split in 16x16x16 sections to keep the maps smaller. But the problem is, that if a section is clear, it will not save it. and if there's a "unsaved section" Minecraft will believe that there must be sunlight below it. so caves bigger then 16x16x16 can have this bug. There are only two ways to fix it. First of, you can use the Lights Out mod (by last_username, correct me if wrong). Install it and relight the map using MCEdit, then start minecraft. But make sure you never enter the map without the mod or minecraft will delete the clear sections again upon closing the map.
The second method makes use of the fact that ladders without a wall behind it work just fine to fix it. Of course you'd have an invisible ladder each 16 blocks but that's just fine unless you don't want that the player has acces to ladders. There's a tool by kamyu that fills each clear section in your map with ladders.

Enjoy written Let's Plays? My blog for them is right here:

Does that (changing the size of a creeper or skeleton) even work? IIRC, the key 'size' is specific to Slimes/Magma Cubes.
Beacuse to use the first method you said I have to don't open the world on Minecraft, but I did it today.
EDIT:
I googled Lights out mod Minecraft and i found th e thread, but last_username says that the map with the light fixed with the mod will be crashed if you try to open on a Minecraft without the mod.
So don't uninstall the mod, and tell people that the lights out mod is required to play the map.
Then wouldn't SPH be up there? After all, there's a LOT of LP's made of it, by famous and less famous LPers.
Technically exists.

try keeping the rooms smaller
that might work
I believe this a lighting glitch with mcedit. You could try asking there.
This is a series of maps. It would help if you told us which one
