THE MONSTER HUNTER MOD! Hello everyone! I'm rweverett99, a new member as well. I've only played Monster Hunter Tri and the sequel, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, but I was blown away at the depth of combat, locations and bosses. I also noticed how there were almost no mods about Monster Hunter, and none for Tri or 3G. For this reason, I've decided to begin this mod, but I need help, and lots of it! I've found I can make models, so at least I can help a little with the mod, talent-wise. I plan on releasing more and more models as time progresses, but I also need programmers, texturers, and additional modelers! If you want to sign up today to help with the mod, just say so in the comments! Any and all help will be appreciated! This mod will require tons of help, as I have big hopes of making at least part of the world of Monster Hunter Tri 3 Ultimate come to life.
GOALS OF THIS MOD:- To put most of the mobs from MH3 Ultimate into the Minecraft world.- To add the various weapon and armor types from MH3 Ultimate into Minecraft, along with the combos and other abilities of the weapons.- (Possibly) To add more biomes so that more of the monsters can be added in their natural habitat.- To make all the mobs have as true-to-the-game appearances and move sets.- To add many of the different items, such as traps and various potions, to the game.- To add a quest system to hunt monsters for rewards.- To add an improved swimming and underwater combat system.Those are the main goals of this mod, but more may be added as they come up.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:- Spread the word about this mod! We need to gain attention so that this mod can gain the attention of the community, helping us to develop along the way!- Lending us ideas of how certain things could be implemented. Some things, such as elements like slime, could be difficult to implement, and your idea could be the included.- Joining the Team. This way, you'll be helping us with code, textures or models, all of which are very important, and are vital to the continuation of this mod.These are just a few ways you can help us. We appreciate any form of help or support!

I think you have a very good idea here but if you could provide some pictures that would be great!

EDIT: Does anyone know how to change the title? I accidently put 'APO' (don't know how it happened) and would like to take it out. Also, does anyone know how to take screenshots of models in Techne? I finished the model and am slightly confused at how to upload screenshots.
I'd like to introduce the Minecraft Aptonoth, made by me! The quality of the model and image may not be the best, but I wanted to post it here for you guys today: (HUGE images, sorry!)
Now for some stats:
Health: 15 hearts, 30 health points.
Attacks: Headbutt
Bio: A normally peaceful herbivore, the Aptonoth will only attack hunters if you provoke it by hitting it or its young. They are a favorite food of large carnivores, such as wyverns.
Drops: 1-2 Raw meat (monster meat?), 1-3 bones.

This mod got my attention i think it would be very cool to become hunters in mine craft, i'm really tired of old vanilla mobs
Thanks! I agree, the old mobs are to generic for my taste, only creepers and blazes are fun. It also lacks in bosses, which this mod would change. Along with an overhaul of the combat system to include dodges and ducks, and blocking for some weapons.
Here's something else I forgot that's important... who will make (hopefully) it in the first release (if that happens). Also, a few expected areas (hopefully).
BOSSES:
Great Jaggi
Querpeco
Rathian? Up for debate, as it would be by far the strongest boss in the mod. Only as a summon of Querpeco at first.
Planned areas/ biomes:
Wyvern Nest: A rather small area of land, only found at the top of mountains. There are eggs here, and several harvesting points. Jaggi also spawn here often, along with the parasitic Giggi. Larger wyverns, such as Rathians, often come to these to rest. Semi-rare, but following a large wyvern is one way to find them.
i can model and texture, i haven't worked on any public mods before (i've made one for my own idea)
I very much appreciate your offer, but I've decided to stop production of this mod for the time being. I have a lot of things going on in my life, and I just cant focus on this mod. I may re-open at some point in the future, however. Sorry again.

Yes go to the post click edit. Then once in the editor click full Editor and then you can change the title at the top. Hope this helps!
