You didn't install the correct version of Forge, or you didn't install Forge at all.

Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Im a modder/programmer! I am on Twitter and YouTube, and some more I won't tell you about!
Go to the TaleCraft Wiki and look out for the Feature-List, it has some download links.
Also, WHY do you need a manual installation?
I have a TODO-list that I can upload to the GitHub.
If you want to help, you can just look in the list and do stuff.
(And create commits/pullrequblablabla)
And yes:
It is a much better idea to make a new map, or you are crazy enough to rip ALL the AC1 stuff out of the map, and then convert it, then put the stuff back in.
- Longor1996
Because when I get it from the installer, it crashes, always, and I want to see if I'm able to get it to work manually.
If you did in fact install the correct version of forge (which it appears you did not) then you must have installed it incorrectly.
One should always try multiple Forge-versions until one works.
At least I know that the next Forge version (in the next update tomorrow) is recommened and thus should not do that anymore.
Current changelog:

EDIT: I seem to be encountering some bugs, they seem to have to do with mob spawning. I spawned a Blaze and I crashed, and here's the log:

I also get these errors on the chat randomly and on startup of the game.
Okay...
Two bugs to note:
1: I cannot just cast things randomly. (woopsy)
2: I should fix the path-selection.
The problem is that I can't seem to get a valid path to the actual map-folder, which makes it pretty hard to do things.
I will fix it.

It looks like it can't find forge? Is it looking for the wrong version of forge? The installation completed successfully according to the installer.
EDIT: Looks like I might have missed a step. Trying again.
Once again, I must ask; am I supposed to be able to right-click the TaleCraftInstaller.jar and use Java to run the installer? Because I still get nothin'.. If this is the case, may I please, pretty please, prettiest of pleases ask for a full install?

You can right click it and open with Java or just double click it. That's all I know.
Well in the versions folder I made "\versions\Talecraft" as a folder, with just the TCinstaller and the .bat file. I ran it and amazingly I saw an installation program which I've never seen! I checked for optifine, but then unchecked it cause I didn't know if my comp wouldn't like that... but during the installation I had five boxes with install progress (including the one for optifine I think anyway).
Anyway, it finished and said "you can now choose TaleCraft as a version!" or whatever. So I run the MC launcher again, make a copy of my default profile, and select "release talecraft", save it, and run the game using the TC profile. It took about ten minutes to load it... and... it exited.
I tried loading with the profile again, and this time it just exited right away. Should I try installing again but without messing with optifine?
Ignore all that, me being a dumb-head, I forgot to run MC with Forge before installing and running it with TaleCraft. It looks great!!!!

Can I have the report(s)? logs/reports-or-it-didnt-happen rule
Also, try re-downloading, since the version I uploaded first had a bunch of FATAL bugs in it.
What cursor-bug again?
(I am too forgetable!)
You didn't install the correct version of Forge, or you didn't install Forge at all.

Im a modder/programmer! I am on Twitter and YouTube, and some more I won't tell you about!
Because when I get it from the installer, it crashes, always, and I want to see if I'm able to get it to work manually.
If you did in fact install the correct version of forge (which it appears you did not) then you must have installed it incorrectly.
: D
One should always try multiple Forge-versions until one works.
At least I know that the next Forge version (in the next update tomorrow) is recommened and thus should not do that anymore.
Current changelog:

Im a modder/programmer! I am on Twitter and YouTube, and some more I won't tell you about!
For some reason that is different for every system.
Try multiple versions of Forge out until one works.
If needed just install ALL of them.
(Don't worry, nothing bad can happen, I know the Launcher's system)
UPDATE: Alpha 0.11
Java Version: 7 (sorry Mac-users!)
Minecraft Version: 1.6.2
Forge Version: 9.10.0.804
Installer Version: 2.1
Source-Code: GitHub
Please re-download the installer

EDIT: I seem to be encountering some bugs, they seem to have to do with mob spawning. I spawned a Blaze and I crashed, and here's the log:

Okay...
Two bugs to note:
1: I cannot just cast things randomly. (woopsy)
2: I should fix the path-selection.
The problem is that I can't seem to get a valid path to the actual map-folder, which makes it pretty hard to do things.
I will fix it.
