never mind i got it to work you need to fix alot of bugs like the sentry crashes me and the smg crashes me and it thinks its a sentry thats ticking and theres not alot of finished textures lol this needs to be in 1.6.4 with a textures update

Damn. Nice job on this mod. Personally, I think you should focus more on the content and functionality first and then work on optimization and cool technical stuff after. Thats just my opinion though. Either way, can't wait for the later versions (and eventually official release)

As of right now smallarms have full functionality with no bugs. Full simulation of how a real firearm works.
In the tutorial I'll do I'll have to record demonstrations with an actual gun and magazine to show how things work.
For the first time since I've said "soon" I actually meant it this time, ill put out an update immediately after I implement crafting for them. Ill do a later update for nuke effects and bug fixes.
I think you should focus more on the content and functionality first and then work on optimization and cool technical stuff after.
I completely agree, but I'm having such fun with the particle system and its beautiful mathyness.
Also it will gen lots of publicity because it makes even the best of other explosion effects look pathetic.

Meaning place the zip into mods without unzipping it. If you dont know how to install a forge mod then it only takes as long as for you to open up wex and move the file; excessive youtubes of it.

I really have no idea, I'll focus on getting guns working and fluid, the same networking protocol used for guns is used for vehicles, so its necessary. I had planes without lift working with euler angles, but euler angles are basically broken for 3d stuff.
So whats needed for vehicles still is
-Rigid body physics using quaternions, which I would like to write myself so I know howto it.
-Turret model transformation
-Turret model aiming
-Adaptering equipment inventory ItemStack[] to the equipment subsystems
-Vehicle HUD
Theres a lot of other things that I already have done like shields and armor, but I have no way to test them until the other stuff is done.
Updating to 1.7.4 is being an extreme pain since so much has been changed. Plus I need to start studying for class more since I probably just failed a test. If things get really bad I'll make t1a open source, but I don't think it'll get to that. Although I will devving all day today, I've been pretty stressed recently, so things might get slow again.
