Takin' a break from AltriaCraft. Workin' on MidchildaCraft (which I suppose I won't consider to be Book III anymore) instead. AC will probably start updating again sometime after Minecraft 1.6 is released. Because then I can have fun with shields + swords + horses.
Even if it's not Book III, it's still a cool looking mod
EDIT: If possible, possibly add different voice modules, and have various people record the necessary lines.
There won't be any vocals at all.

So basically It's this mod or IC2?Is macerating the only issue it will have? Because I don't mind if that is, I use thaumcraft infernal furnace to smelt my ores, and it accepts anything at all that can be smelted, but anyway that's off topic, could I still play ic2 and ac together or is there an actual mod stopping issue that will only allow me to progress so far till it adds stuff I can't get?E

Iunno how the Infernal Furnace sets things up to be smelted, it may not work. The AltriaCraft Iron chunks still makes normal Vanilla Iron Ingots, so I believe that there's not really any other problems with IC2. That being said, AltriaCraft isn't anywhere near finished, so there's not a lot to do with it right now.
thanks laskeri, 1 more thing, would you know of any errors that would come from using IC2, buildcraft, forestry and most of the addon mods?? like a recipe that needs the gold or iron ore or something?

Not that I can think of. I'm not sure if the IC2 UU recipes for Gold and Iron would work, but other than that you should be good to go. It's not as if you couldn't use Silk Touch to get the ore blocks if you really needed them anyways. (Even then not sure if that would work, not really sure how IC2/TE handle the Ore Dictionary/exactly how AltriaCraft replaces the Iron and Gold Ores.) But no problem
I literally replaced the gold and iron ore blocks (the slots at their IDs in the Item.itemsList) with my own. So, OOP-wise and object-wise, they're different blocks. But, ID-wise, they're the same blocks.
Additionally, I registered the new ones as oreIron and oreGold in the ore dictionary.
So... idk, if IC2/TE has any kind of Ore Dict support, silk-touched ores should work fine.

just started playing survival, and found something odd, fire can be used to make an anvil hot and yet lava does not?
Intentional. Actual metalworking is done over flames. Lava is simply too hot for metal-working.

I don't have many plans for cross-mod support beyond ore compatibility and possibly Thaumcraft essentia stuffs.
Then again, I don't have many plans to touch this mod for a while so heck if I know what I'll think when I resume working on this.

good news starshadesjack, after playing my survival world for a bit, I researched the infernal furnace from thaumcraft and your new ore types DO in fact work with it, so that's cool

Fair enough. That being said, Midchildacraft does sound awesome so far.

You can't macerate it and stuff.

Definately adding this to my new medieval fantasy server, keep up the good work :D!
It definitely goes in my fantasy rpg server.
Can't wait for the updates to come out. this shows great promise.

I can only imagine you adding any more mod support after you have fully released the mod.
Core features first!
