can u make this have duel wielding and the castles with nights sawall this on tobuscus and need this mod
Bloody hell, you do not NEED a mod. You need Food, Water, Air and shelter. Everything else is not needed. You as well as tobuscus lived perfectly fine before I made battleger. Demanding a mod to update is not just extremely rude and disrespectful, it is also against the forum rules. For this reason you have been reported
Let this be a warning for you all, I will not tolerate people demanding updates from this or any of my previous mods. I do this in my spare time as a hobby and then provide it to the community for free. I do not owe you anything.
Awesome to hear that you're working on Commander, it's sad to see Battlegear go, but I guess it's time to move on and try someting new eh? Anyway, sounds awesome so far, and will there be enemy factions randomly generated in the world? With like a keep or something? I think that'd be fun if you added it. Give your army something to do you know?

Actually this was nerd boys first mod (posted here that i know of) battlegear was the 2nd also i believe there are going to be factions that attack each other but an enemy faction as far as i know has not been announced yet (nor on the old mod)

Exactly, coding for battlegear was no longer intresting me, and lets face it that is the main motivation for a hobby. Initially there will be no enemy factions, I do hope to make it server compatible so you can set up (for example) a red v blue team based game. This will basically eliminate the ned for NPC enemies. However there is no telling where it might go eventually. I was going to be adding orc & goblins as enemies for the old battlecraft mod, but that probably won't happen until I am done with all the units (i.e a long time)
I am betting that this will use Forge v6. Also, I'll really keep an eye to this mod. Say, would we also have female knights from here?
Sure will, Forge allows me to do things that are just not possible with modloader/modloaderMP. The nature of the mod will actually require quite a few packets, and it's packet handeling capacity is actually quite good.
As for female knights, it is very unlikly. Adding female knights would rquire me to make a second set of skins for each unit. At the moment each nit require 16 armour skins, 5 skin skins, 6 hair skins and 6 eye skins (the later 3 sets are common acrosss all units). All but the eyes would really need to be duplicated to add a female option. Then there is also the emersion factor. In medieval times (which I am basing the mod off) there were very few female soldiers. This is not me trying to be sexist or anything, it's just the way things were back then.
Will there be a limit to how many units you can have?
I am still tossing up on this. There will definatly be a configurable limit on servers (as I don't want a single player spawning 1000s of soldiers just to slow the server down). Either way soldiers will require a small amount of gold to spawn.

Well, I may work on the optional female skins someday. You may go visit my PlanetMinecraft profile, then tell me if I'll qualify to do an optional female character pack for you
It's not just the skins, I would also have to make model support as well as re-arrange quite a bit of my code to make sure it is synced across servers. In theory I could just lump it in with the skin variable (i.e 0-4 = males, 5-9 = female). But I would still need custom models

Minecraft Comes Alive got away with female characters using the Biped base, for now female custom models can stay somewhere.
I hate people who complain. I hate spiders. I hate people who own an Xbox One. I hate people who like sandbox games. I hate people who like first person shooters. I hate people who like explosions. I hate people who like video games. I hate people who are hateful. I hate people that don't like spam. I hate people who like cake. I hate people who type in proper grammar and spell words properly on the internet. I hate hypocrites.

Looking into the mod, I don't like how they are rendered. It might be fine for villager type people but looking at that you wouldn't really be able to diferentiate many of the units, especially those in armour. I think for this mod they would basically require a model.
Nice to see that it's going back to the armies of randomly generated soldiers slaying mobs.
Few questions:
Will mobs drop gold or will it be crafted, maybe out of gold nuggets like in Battlecraft?
Will Mine and Blade: Battlegear dual wielding and shields be implemented in the units?
It will be created, as you said likely either from gold bars or from nuggets (or I will just use niggets themselves).
Some units will have the options to have a weapon in both left and right hands and others will have a shield. These will not be implemented in the player.
There will be no weapons added to the mod. Even the "new items" added to the soldiers will not be avaliable to players as they are not true items. I have created my own rendering routine to render items in the soldiers hands without making them propper minecraft items.
1 Question and 1 Question only Will this be multiplayer cause that is the one thing that would be nice fighting other players Armies
Yes, initially there will only be an option in the config that will allow soldiers of different colours to attack each other (but not players). Eventually I want to make a team selection dialog apear when connecting to a server where you select your team colour. You will then only be able to spawn and control soldiers of your colour and soldiers of opposing colours will atttack you.
You know, I think that Minecraft doesn't really need new weapons. And I don't think this mod needs female soldiers, after all Minecraft seems not to have genders.

To tell you the truth, I am inclinded to agree with you on both points. I don't want to get bogged down by coding items for players (which is why I have made the items like I have, i.e. not actually items), and I think there is already enough customisation in the mod without trying to stress over genders also.
I might add the possibility in the future when i get to the mages/priests, but for the moment no.
EDIT:
I thought I might give you a small teaser image before I make the 1st teaser video
