Great job on the mod! It can be balanced alot better though. You should make the books harder to get. Like maybe getting the basic books like athletics books should be a book surronded with feathers and gold nuggets. The herbalism book should be a book surronded by pumpkin, melon, and wheat seeds. The mining book should be a book surronded with iron and gold ingots. They all provide great benifiets so they should be hard to get. Also like the books you make in the future like dark witchcraft books should be found in chests in nether fortesses. Double jump should also be nerfed so every like 4 double jumps a half a thing of a hunger would go down. Also a convert items to XP option. I love games like that. Anyways, great mod keep up the good work!

We're planning to give the player a choice between several starter Books at the start of the game, so either Athleticism, Mining, Herblore, Swordcraft, and Armor arts will be available from the start of a world. We are working on making the other skill books appear in stronghold and village bookshelves. Yes, bookshelves. One of our modders is changing bookshelves to have a gui, so they can store books of all kinds. With some work, we'll have rarer books in strongholds, and basic, less advanced (aka non-magic) books appearing in village libraries. Once we've got a working spawning system, we'll nerf book crafting.

I would love to be a tester, but i will be pretty busy. Also my power on my computer just died, and it smelled really bad. so now i have a big hunk of junk hanging on my desk.. Also my computer randomly crashes and lags. I know the reason why it is because i need new ram... But I hope your find some good testers/tester.
Active skills system is basically done. You can have up to 4 on your hotbar which is rendered in game (not incompatible with minimap mods) and the keybinds are customizable. Swords tree is done with the exception of the active skills in the tree. Some will require a few new system to be put in place, which means I'll be adding buffs and debuffs. This opens possibilities for stuns, slows, dots etc. I also had to scrap one of sword's active skills which means I need another to replace it with. possibly duel wielding for a certain amount of time? Basicly your sword duplicates and you can't switch to anything in your hotbar it just stays as 2 swords for about, 30seconds or so. And then you go and slay the zombies! And creepers... Or when you have a type of sword in your hand you can press a key that it is linked to or something then 3 entities shoot in front of you that do as much damage each, of what the sword does. Of course it would have a cooldown.
i have level 5 nook and whatever (the highest mnig skill) and when diamond ore block is about to break, game crashes. i could not reproduce that because it took me several hours to get there and i don't have time. Fresh minecraft install and + mod load + your mod and i can break diamond ore normally but i have 0 level on mining when i checked that
from what i understand, my game crashes whenever bonus is to be applied, for example i have 25% to get extra coal, i mined 4 coal blocks and game crashed on 5th, the same with gold, and diamond is 100% crash, stone crashes whener nook and crany is about to drop some random ore
Book idea: Aura Forces
Ever wanted to pull a block out of the ground? I mean actually taking a block from the ground, levitating it in front of you, and using it to slam a creeper into a wall or into lava? Then Aura Forces is the book for you.
Skill tree: Aura Forces (magic)
tier 1:
(ambient)Aura: Arrows shot by skeletons, along with snowballs from snow golems and blaze fireballs, will have a chance of curving away from the player. More powerful per level. 5 lvls.
tier 2:
(active)Mental control: Supreme strength, can push and pull bocks in the selection box as in the handheld pistons mod by right/left clicking with an empty hand.
(ambient)Soul light: Blocks the player stands on light up. See where you're going at night!
tier 3:
(active)Entity well: Right click with empty hand sucks all entities towards the selected block. Custom swirl animation.
(active)Force field: entities of all kinds pushed back, strength and radius of field dependant on level. 5 lvls.
tier 4:
(active)Supreme control: Pull blocks from the ground, hold them in mid air in front of you, use them to knock mobs away and block arrows!
(ambient)Supreme aura: Items will move towards the player.
tier 5:
(active)Mind slam: Huge, 5/5 circle of blocks resessed into the ground (if soft material), custom swirl, mobs knocked over, take 2 seconds to get up.

Just saying, you're probably going to get a lot of people asking for old releases as this mod becomes popular. So I would get in the habit of documenting them.

I've just sort of been putting off formatting the OP. I will have old releases up although I hope people won't want them very soon since each release is majorly different.

I don't really want to add more to that part of the hud. Debuff/buff icons are impossible to make small and the hud would start to look ridiculous. At the moment the buff/debuffs are in a spot which would conflict with minimaps but the mod is not actually incompatible with minimap mods. I'll find a way to allow the player to change where they go.
When I have Forge installed, when I hit a block it says 'Saving chunks' and crashes. This is annoying for me because I really want to play with this AND the Portal Gun mod..........

I do like the idea of having double jump have a steep exhaustion rate.
