Gaaahhh. Should have checked the thread before heading off.
Dont worry I will be holding another one soon
Well, it is now after 7am EST and with that, I have to close out the first ever All Night Texture Event a whole hour and a half after the original end time!
It has been an amazing 9 and a half hours but unfortunatly I need to sleep before writing my Final English essay before my tutor gets here!
So with that said I would really like to thank everyone who partcicipated. I would like to especially thank those of you whom stayed up all night with me and constantly contributed ideas and kept me company. I dont think I could have gone all 9 hours without you all
This has been one incredibly successful event considering I planned it on a whim with very little notice. There have been over 93 posts on the All Nighter thread....that's a whopping 5 pages in only 9 hours. I must say, bravo everyone!
I will be compiling a list of everyone who contributed and submitted Ideas later on today at some point but for now I leave you with the final update with the total of all textures made in the course of the first every All Night Texture Event!
FINAL UPDATE 7:30 AM EST - 9 1/2 hours into All Night Texture Event
Its coming along great, while not doing daily reports it has given me the time to get over 150 textures done for Stargate Chevron 7 Alone.....
Among them are Kull Warrior armor (yes they kull wariors will play a minor to semi major role in one of the missions)
Ive also been able to get Kinos and kino remotes modeled, as well as DHD's (texture is still frigging up on my) mark II naquadah generators and a whole bunch of other models.
While things may be going slow due to the lack of people on our team. The Mod Division is small and we need more coders for faster development on both the Doctor Who Client Mod and Stargate Chevron 7.
Dont worry, things are still chugging along
Ill see what I can do about some daily reports but they probably wont be happening on either DWCM or SGC7 until next week. I cant get one moment home alone to record without being disturbed, both my mom and dad are on vacation so it makes it hard for me to do any video production.
Im also getting ready for my graduation party which is gonna be in 2 weeks....its a huge ass party lol so loads of things need to get done.
Also ive got major work to do on Hogwarts RP Experience before we relaunch it
So yeah, if you wanna help just try and find some more coders and possibly texturers (if they are good) and send them to our team application page
You shouldnt forget the Anti-Replicator Weapon, its necessary to eliminiate the mechanical horror.
If you remember, the ARGs became useless against the replicators. These are the reps that were under the command of Repli-Carter. They were on a planet that didnt have a stargate so the anti replicator pulse caused by the Dakara weapon never effected them.
And now since the Dakara weapon is gone there is no way of defeating them....except the old fashion way of bombs...shotguns...and more bombs
Naquadah generators are advanced reactor units that produce tremendous amounts of clean energy from small amounts of Naquadah (a common mineral but not found in Earth's solar system). Such a reactor contains enough reactants to generate an explosion of 20 kilotons following an overload, and it has been said that it would take 30 seconds for the generator to overload. Estimating peak power in this case is difficult, since it is unknown if the liberated energies would be solely provided by the build-up phase (in which case the peak power capacity of the reactor could be estimated), or if it would be due to the reaction of all remaining Naquadah, triggered by the initial explosion from the overload. As a result, Naquadah generators can be turned into a powerful bomb, which the Atlantis expedition has implemented as a self-destruct mechanism for the city of Atlantis as a safeguard from the Wraith. If such an explosion occurs, an Electromagnetic pulse is generated (similar to a nuclear explosion).
The Mark II series was developed, and it is capable of achieving 600% of the power output of the Mark I; it operates in a state of barely controlled overload and is quickly depleted. Never-the-less, two of these devices can power an Ancient Control chair for a limited number of uses, which normally requires a Zero Point Module to operate.
Uses of Mark II Naquadah generators include:
Powering a Stargate without a Dial Home Device on another world for interstellar dialling-out, either manually or with a dialing program installed laptop.
Temporarily powering various alien devices, should their own power source be depleted.
Powering the Prometheus and Daedalus-class series of warships.
A miniature Naquadah generator was used to power the X-699 directed energy weapon, Earth's first directed energy weapon.
Powering the Control chairs in the Antarctic outpost and Atlantis whilst in a state of barely controlled overload.
Powering parts of the city of Atlantis in lieu of Zero Point Modules.
still in development. Over the next few weeks we will be doing daily reports showing first looks at what we have been working on....for example my post above
Milky Way Stargates are the second model of Stargate designed by the Ancients. They are 6.7 meters in diameter and weigh roughly 29 tons. They are dark gray in appearance with red-orange colored chevrons. The triangular lower half of the Stargate's top chevron extends and retracts while locking a symbol.
The glyphs are built into an inner ring. Most of the gates are built into a stone platform with a stairway for easy access. Those that aren't have often been moved from where they were first found.
The inner rings spins while dialing and can be moved by hand (with some difficulty) to dial the gate in the absence of an external device. The dialing computer used by Stargate Command essentially employs this method to dial the gate; the system instructs the motors inside the gate to move the ring to the relevant position. A Dial Home Device bypasses the need for the inner ring to spin, simply allowing the user to enter the relevant address.
The gates in the Ida galaxy appear to be of the same model as the Milky Way.
GLYPHS
A Milky Way Stargate has 39 inscribed symbols on the inner ring. When dialing, this inner ring rotates until the dialed symbol is aligned with the seventh chevron, at which point the ring pauses, the seventh chevron moves down and up, and the appropriate chevron in the sequence engages and glows red.

Hey there, programming help would be brilliant. Please by all means fill out the team application here
http://ikingssgc.com/forums/index.php?link-forums/team-application.36/
Thanks, I made a profile (jrsstill), feel free to ask me for ideas or any help with programming (I've got a lot of ideas)
Also, how do you plan on creating the Staff Weapon and different stunners (eg.Wraith Stunners and Zat Guns)
