Just so you guys know, I'm working on adapting the Sphax Pure BDCraft Texture pack to use this AND utilize the RandomMods Mod! After I'm done converting the layout of the Sphax enderdragon to Mountable Dragon's texture layout, I'll start working on variations (different colors, looks, etc). If anyone knows anyone else working on this, please let me know! The changing the layout is a pain!
Is the dragon for this mob it's own or did you redo the enderdragon/.overwrite it?
It's completely independent to the Ender Dragon. Even if Mojang chooses to remove it and the egg entirely, the mod would still work. Well ok, the egg texture should stay in terrains.png, but otherwise, yes.
Um, large red dragon? Anyway, I think you have to set difficulty to something higher than peaceful.
I'll see if I can recolor and adapt that green painterly dragon from earlier to red and see how that looks. I'll even keep the green version for you guys!
Now all we need is for you to make 'nests' and wild dragons flying around guarding said nest. You can't tame the wild ones but you can fight them or sneak into the nest to steal their egg to hatch your own rideable one.

That....wasn't being asked of you. I wasn't even talking about the texture. Just if the dragon for this mod is it's OWN fully separate mob, OR does it replace the real ender dragon with it? a.k.a if we go to the end do we see yours flying and attacking, or the normal one?
giving the dragon idle animations sounds good to me.
I just came up with the idea for a dragon whip/whistle, which when you right click on a saddled dragon, will bring up a GUI where you could tell it to sit/sleep and a third option to tell it to go away (Hunting, exploring, whatever). Also maybe different variations of the dragon. Another dragon that walks with it's wings sort of like a bat would be amazing in my opinion.
Another thing, adding walking speed to the config? (unless it would be too overpowered)

EGGS, MAMA DRAGONS THAT KILL YOU, MAYBE LIFE STAGES ARE MAYBE GETTIN ADDED, YEHHHHAAAWWWW....anyways so this mod is awesome but make baby dragons adorable.......... and have cute puppy like animations :D!

i am still for the Ideas from that guys far back in time, the dragon~S should act like wolfs, you know helping u at fight, walking behind u, aaaal that stuff, and the idea that this mod should feel like in Eragon (that should probably explane everything)

Dragon Mounts creates an entirely new entity. An entity is anything that can move like mobs, moving sand or gravel (only when its falling) and etc. The vanilla minecraft's ender dragon will stay, the mod's dragon will be spawned. Simply, you can have both at the same time and I over explain things.
