Poll: The name of that mod should be different from Ships&Boats and Ph
We have agreed with Eagle_Orion, creator of PhysicsCraft, and Shereis, to join forces to make a mod featuring physics from PhysicsCraft and also the rendering and block interaction facilities of Ships&Boats.
plz update this i like underwater exploring and this mod lets me explore underwater so plz update this
If you love underwater exploring, perhaps use the IC2 mod and get a HazMat Suit with the scuba helmet, get yourself a compressor and fill it with tin cells and you can get compressed air to have fun underwater, place the compressed air cells in your hotbar so you know how many cells are left before you need to get back on the surface to recharge your cells, they are reusable so you don't have to worry too much. And when you advance, you can get your hands on a quantum suit, once fully charged, you can get underwater for a damn long time without having to worry about compressed air cells...

Hum, I'm not playing Minecraft like if it was in the real world after all, I admit that Quantum Suits could be a little bit OP if only playing with IC2 installed, but add gregtech like I've did and you won't think its so OP after seeing what gregtech does to IC2 recipes, it took me so much time to gather the stuff I need that I don't feel like my Quantum suit is OP at all anymore.
Does this mod still bug out wireless red stone mods or has it been fixed
This mod is still for MC 1.2.5 here, if you're not playing on that old 1.2.5 version its not very important the bugs are probably still there, it could be updated by a new modder soon, hope for the best but for now its not up to date.
GOD DAMN IT you can't read the first post of this thread, are you blind or what, its not updated, there's a dev that is supposed to take it to a newer version soon, but for now that mod is only for 1.2.5 and the original modder had to quit modding, guess he has IRL stuff that are far more important than this.

For months I have been constantly checking back to see if any progress has been made on one of my favorite mods of all time, and for months nothing. And now you come along and restore hope. Thank you trigrhappy. I really hope this goes well for you
The requests happen so often that it's just annoying. I'm not a mini-mod, as it were, I just get sick of people not reading the extremely obvious message on the front page of the thread, that explains the status of the mod.
You aren't obliged to respond to the people asking for this mod to be updated, nor are you the internet police. Responding to their posts is something you're doing completely on your own and then reporting people's posts because of it. Obviously a lot of people have an interest in this mod being updated (myself included) and that is why they are asking regardless of anything in the OP, seemingly to express interest in it being updated and bump the thread.
On a side note... what makes me sick is people updating things like this and then not releasing them to the "public" due to some ridiculous concept of copyright which shouldn't exist with anything on the internet anyways, especially in a situation like this. IMO the original author of it hasn't expressed any care about it for a long time so he relenquishes any ownership of it what so ever. Imagine what it would be like if the original author of "Hello World" decided to one day take up sewing instead of programming and we would all still be playing pong because he wanted to make a cheap buck or a half pint of recognition off of every computer hobbyist in existence.
I know this mod has already been updated if not by at least several people, why not just release it so everyone can enjoy it.
Ok well looks like the best way would be to start over and just copy the code over to a new base mod. Lot of work to be done but Ill do my best guys, I dont have a ton of time for this though.
Edit: Quick question, do I need to get sir entropy's permission to use his work? I want to take this in a new direction and maybe enlist the help of another modding group and integrate this a little bit.
Trigr I am an experienced Java coder, with a CS degree, and although I don't think I can be bothered getting to know all the the ins and outs of minecraft source code and finishing the mod myself, I am available for the next 3 or 4 weeks to do any boring coding that has to be done but will slow you down.
I'm happy to write classes or functions that you need but don't have time for, or just can't get motivated to do. Just give me the info I need to be able to write it, and I'll get it done. Just think of me as a sub-contractor!
As far as I'm concerned an SMP cutomisable ship mod would be THE ultimate minecraft mod - nothing else comes close.

I guess the first hard work to do is to first port a working version of the mod to 1.4.7 but I got strong feelings we won't ever see it for that version of Minecraft which is a shame considering that 1.5 won't release most of the important mods for at least 3-4 months even up to 6 months or more for mods like IndustrialCraft2, BuildCraft and RedPower2 which would require a total rewrite from scratch on 1.5 because of the way redstone is changed in that soon to be released edition. Yes it will be awesome, but not for people that can't play without mods like me.

It is compatible SMP but it is not up to date, blocks can move, rotate ...

If the people who are looking at remaking this are serious, may I suggest a simple site or similar for us to easily track progress?

Flenix that won't happen, because only one person would control the communication (unlike here) and it seems there still isn't one person committed to working on SaB.
