Going by your modlist, you kinda forgot about Buildcraft - which is the whole point of using a mod called "Buildcraft Additional Pipes" :tongue.gif:
Long answer, This clearly says its for beta 1.8.1 while BC 2.2.6 clearly says it's for 1.0.0 if they work on different versions of minecraft they can't work together.
also upgrade to 2.2.7 for buildcraft and just be patient, wait for this topic to have the tag [1.0.0]

Is this mod going to be updated to BC 3.0.x and MC 1.0.x? Its an awesome mod, I'm looking forward to using it again. No rush, I understand these things take time.
To me, this has become an essential part of BuildCraft. Without it, the bank of engines in my basement sit idle, with no way to get fuel from the refinery and nowhere to send their power.

Agreed, there's no point in using BC without this mod. The logistics of transferring oil and lava and water over distances could be fun, but it's completely negated by the chunk load/unload routines. Besides, the oil reserves are generally not large enough to justify a massive permanent building project to get pipe to them.
Is there a reason you're using BuildCraft 2.2.1? The latest version for Minecraft 1.8.1 is BC 2.2.5. You know... kind of like it's mentioned in the thread title. It states in the original post that it's only compatible back to 2.2.2 at any rate.
Solution: Upgrade your BuildCraft version. I can't see any reason not to.

It's not updated to 1.0.0 yet, it will only work with 1.8.1 mods.
I want to see this updated as much as anyone else... But you have to realise that coding is not always as easy as replacing a 1.8.1 with a 1.0.0.
If you know how to do it fine go nuts... But otherwise quit complaining and let the person who made this mod in the first place... FOR FREE, release the next version / updated versions of it on his own time.

and i have a few feature requests that i hope might be fairly easy to implement...
1) when pressing f9, could a green box appear at the space where the chunkloading block is, for those of us that have buried them and lost them (yes, i'm a bit forgetful :tongue.gif:)
2) maybe set frequency 0 to a "master frequency", so that any pipe sending on freq. 0 would send to all pipes, and any receiving on 0 would receive from all pipes?
3) compatibility with the logistics pipes, although this may be extremely complex, from the looks of how his mod works
so sorry for the wall of text, but i hope you read this zeldo, because i'd love to hear from you on these matters, especially number 3 :biggrin.gif:

Forestry forced me to use it for the Peat power plant as regular buildcraft just overfilled the engines rather than splitting the load, and there were no way to create an overflow system...
Oh well, I can wait, I am in no hurry, Notch / Jeb is appearently, but they cannot compete, even though they think so :tongue.gif:

SSP or SMP?
if it's Single player (SSP) than: no. it's not ever loaded unless your there.
if it's Multiplayer (SMP) than it'd be a definite maybe.
