Currently, there ain't no map conversion, but in the future, there will be Only because it's in extreme alpha.
You can make maps in the mod though, but there are some big kinks I need to unkink with Creative, so I'd wait for the next patch before starting.
you should impliment sounds for the enemies like orcs and Nagas
yep, and pliz don't use the spider sound apart for the scorpion.

1: i'm sure frizzil is working on other races and classes and he already said an other time that he was planning on npc interaction, but didn't mention anything in the vid... i'm confused. XD
2: are the boss (not uber) coming in the next patch?
3: i went already on the vertigo server and found it absolutely great, but i find it annoying that lvl max people keep killing me in the^^, in the starting zone. so i decided to create my own server and am looking for help, i know how to set everything up, but i want to create huge cities with some kind of faction base, i want to create pvp areas which only allows for people to deal damage towards each other in them. there shall be 2 main cities, involving dwarves with halflings and steves with elves. so any one able to help me with that pliz reply^^

Here's some ideas:
1.) Have towns that randomly spawn with 3 major buildings;
-a Store ( place for you to sell gear and buy items like arrows, potions, etc.),
-a Tavern (a place for you to sleep for the night to set a spawn point and recruit NPC help (heroess to journey with.)
-and a Bank( a place to store gear( would be cool if the items for the chests would carry to other banks but.. sounds complicated)
2.) Add a currency Item (ties in with the store idea, but it needs to happen. (possibly gold coins found in dungeons, these could be crafted into gold bags (takes 10 coins) then they could be returned to 10 gold coins.
3.) New weapon types! -
halberds (has high durability, natural knockback, very strong but slow atk speed)
Daggers (very fast, low damage, Could be throwable at the cost of 2 durability but more damage?)
Spears (kinda slow, high damage, Thorwable at the cost of more durability but yields more damage.)
Crossbows ( Takes more time to reload, high damage, more accuracy)
Gauntlets (Less damage than daggers, but has a chance to stun and deals more damage to skeletons (crush ftw )
4.) Mounts? (C'mon almost every good rpg has mounts. I'm not asking for stupid mounts, just a simple mount and some others with more abilities. For example, A starter one would be a horse. Upgraded one, a Pack horse. (would be bought at the stable at town or found)
5.) New skills. (I know you're working on some, but here are some of my thoughts)
-Warrior; Power attack( Long cool down, costs 20 mana but higher damage.) - Shield (Can't be hit, but can't hit. Costs 100 mana, with a long cooldown time.)
-Archer; Summon wolf (Summons a wolf based on the level of the area, wolf takes periodic damage and dies.) - Call of the wild (gain 1 dex for every 1 pt of strength lost, lasts for 20 seconds.) - Bow smash (deals 75% damage with a 45% chance to stun the monster hit.)
-Mage; Summon skeleton (summons a skeleton based on the level of the area, takes periodic damage and dies.) - Meditate (mana recharge is boosted by 35% as long as you don't move (10 second cooldown)) - Raise army (takes 200 mana but summons a skeleton, 2 zombies, and a spider. All of them take damage over time and die, has a cooldown of 160 seconds)
These are all of the ideas I have at the moment. Let me know if you like them

Unfortunately we are having trouble with that especially with the lack of bukkit. we have already banned over 200 people for this..... its actually sad that we have to do this.....

Here are some ideas I have for the mod. But, I don't know anything about coding at all, and I'm not sure if these are possible to put in the mod. (I'm using spoilers because I have a lot of ideas)
Monsters:
I think the amount of monsters that spawn in the daylight should be limited, and the amount of leather armor they drop decreased. After 2 towers, I had a large chest completely full of leather armor (I haven't been playing very long and don't know if this is already included, but the higher you level up, the more valuable armor monsters should drop) I don't have to many specific ideas for monsters, but some suggestions are:
Griffin
Big wasps
Sand worm (I doubt that will be possible to code without problems)
Centaur
Basilisk
Banshee
Different kinds of goblins
Some kind of monster fish
I know some are kind of RPG cliche, but so are giant rats.
I do have uber-boss ideas.
Some kind of four-legged beast that resembles an enderman, so an enderbeast. I wanted to post a drawing of one, but I keep getting distracted and forgetting. When you fight it, it would spawn smaller versions of itself. It's claws would have the texture of the black with blue dots texture of the End portal. Since bosses always have signs of attacks, whenever it would teleport it would crouch down a little bit. It would be able to make an End portal, except it would slow you down and pull you towards it.
A labyrinth with a giant minotaur at the center, I don't think you needed me to tell you that one, since it's in a lot of RPGS, but ya never know.
A giant squid. I'll talk about that one later.

Dungeons
Just a reminder, I don't know if it's possible to code this.
A giant underground spider nest, with a variety of spiders, with multiple colors and sizes, some are poisonous. But some rooms would have large pods of eggs that would act as a monster spawner, but only spawn one spider. But if you destroy the egg before it hatches, then the spider won't be as big or strong. It will have the giant spider at the end.
An underwater dungeon made mostly of strong glass (glass that can't be broken, serves the same purpose as the unbreakable colored stone), lapis lazuli, and blue stone bricks. Inside there would be the blue-skinned goblins that would break glass to flood the place and inconvenience you. They wouldn't be very strong, and would be about the size of the regular Steve character, but be skinnier. At the end of it there would be a large pool of water, with stone on either side. There would be the giant squid from before, it would attack you with its tentacles. And if someone tried to run for the treasure and leave, then the squid would throw them to other side before they got to the treasure.
Maybe the enderbeast could have its own dungeon, if it did it would be disorienting and confusing.
I'll add more things later, I'm busy, just got lucky enough to have time to type this
I'm having problems setting up a server. I've configured and did everything right, but after some time playing multiplayer (multiplayer only, neither me nor my friend have problems in SP) our screen turns blue-ish grey, not simultaneously, then black. With no error message ( tried the error log bat file). I've allocated 1gb of RAM for java, deleted the Single player Meta-INF (the multiplayer is NOT deleted) and the problem is ONLY MULTIPLAYER.

Now I've been playing your mod for a while and I noticed that there are several armors that don't have any texture at all and their GUI icon is green minecraft armor. For example obsidian and dragonscale. So i was poking around to code and checking out mod tutorials to see how to give these armors textures and no luck. So I decided to ask you, if i created textures for all of those untextured armors, as well as individual textures for every weapon incorporated in your mod, so that any newly added weapon looks different than the other beyond just a color change. And I mean everything, every wand, every newly added bow. The newly added weapons and tools. All of that. Would you be willing to incorporate them into your mod and code those textures in, if you like them of course. I feel like having every weapon and armor look more unique would really add to the entire RPG random loot feel because it's not just the stats that change. I just wanted to get your feedback before I went ahead and started designing the textures, though i have planned some out on paper. And I know it looks by the little sidebar that I'm a complete newbie, but i do know how to use photoshop and other programs to make minecraft textures.

Unfortunately we are having trouble with that especially with the lack of bukkit. we have already banned over 200 people for this..... its actually sad that we have to do this.....
What about your server's console? There's probably an error message there. If you already checked that, then... what were you doing at the time of crash?

We just randomly walk for a few seconds, then whoever's online crash at different times. the disconnect reason is generic.
EDIT: what we actually do doesn't seem to matter, as i logged alone at the server, died, killed things, and the blue-black screen comes from nowhere.
Frizzil which minecraft version does your mod support? cause I haven't updated my MC in 2 months and the recent one is 1.2.5 and I want to update it but I also want to try your hack and slash mod but unsure if I update my minecraft I won't be able to play the mod.
I've seen the mod from Luclin on youtube and it's amazing mod that forms it into a real RPG, i'm a big RPG fan so something like this get's me happy.
