Yer a funny guy :tongue.gif: . Minecraft doesn't have anything even approaching a physics engine. Common sense things like momentum have to be handled on a case-by-case basis. On the plus side, those shortcuts gave us fun stuff like minecart boosters and critter cannons.
The particles DiEvAl was referring to are effects like smoke and fire produced by various blocks and entities. They have no directional velocities attached to them because they were never intended to be moved around, which is why you have to handle them differently from other entities.
That's what I thought/meant. I'm an engineering major, so sometimes it shows :cool.gif:
I'd like to hope I'm not the only one that thinks that this should actually have you stay at the wheel while piloting (or have a variant of config-setting that allows you to make it as such, so you can control it like, say, an airship.

What makes you think I was ever being reasonable? I'm sitting here with a pile of guns while wearing a flamethrower, and you thought that, at some point, I was being reasonable?

Have you taken the rp.class file from the Zeppelin Mod .zip and placed it directly into your Minecraft.jar? If you haven't, perhaps you should.
I wanted to try that mod for my multiplayer server.
It don't get any error at all, but I have a problem.
When I try creating the controller block, it's impossible to move it from the crafting table. I can see the block without any problem but I can't take it out. It kinda bug out.
And if I try to give me the block ID, it said that the Block ID doesn't exist.
I'm pretty sure I followed every step, so would you have any idea of what could cause that and how to fix it ?
Can you use that mod in multiplayer ?

Thanks.
I wanted to try that mod for my multiplayer server. <-- There's your problem. This is a single player only mod. It will not work on a multiplayer server. Once the final version is made they might port it to multiplayer, but i'd refrain from asking them about it.
Hi I love this mod but I have some issues.
When using the airship controller if I right click any block while its active Minecraft crashes.
When using the airship sometimes the controller block will disappear.

I am having an issue, and reading back for about 5 pages, I can find nothing that helps. I diddnt use your batch file, but I did take the report out of Modloader.txt in my .Minecraft folder. It seems to my uneducated eye that theres a problem with something called mod_Zeppelin_rotation.meta .

There is no bug. That was a bit of satire on his part, because he's answered the same question a number of times before. the "BTW, why did you unzip it?" part was the part you needed to pay attention to. You unzipped it when you put it into your mods folder, correct? Well, you are not supposed to do that. It changes the location of the files, and screws it up. You are supposed to put the entire zip folder into your mods folder, without unzipping it.
You did not follow the instructions. Or bother reading the last few pages of this thread.
rp.class.
It's important.
The mod uses it upon activation of a craft.
If it's not in the correct location, it's rather useless to your computer.
It's in the wrong location. Open this mod's zip folder. See rp.class? move it to your minecraft.jar
Place the entire zip folder in your mods folder.
i did not un zip the file into the mods folder i put the whole zip file in there as is (without the rp.class). the rp.class IS in the minecraft.jar i read the instructions repeatedly and the forum, and followed them to the letter
BUT what you said made me realize something, my computer automatically unzips zipped files upon downloading. i was re-zipping the whole folder together when i should have been re-zipping the contents. thanks for trying to help it is working now
for reference i have a Macintosh and i assume only macs have this problem

Thanks in advance.
That's just a warning. I have the same thing occurring. I posted about it, but it was on page 227, not within your 5 page sphere of knowledge
Also, what is all this about particle spawning? If you are talking about the particles that are emitted by torches or objects while you are breaking them, why make them move with the ship? In a perfect system physics dictates that the particles would move at the same speed as the ship, but because of air resistance, this assumption is not valid.
In other words, I don't think it's necessary at this point.
If I'm completely wrong on what you mean by particles, then disregard my scientific derivations and keep on doin' whateva yo is doin'
No, it's not that post. It's almost at the bottom of the page.
Yes, I was talking about particles like smoke. That was just my experiments of how zeppelin works at high speeds. Since no one will use these speeds, I don't need to change it.
i did not un zip the file into the mods folder i put the whole zip file in there as is (without the rp.class). the rp.class IS in the minecraft.jar i read the instructions repeatedly and the forum, and followed them to the letter

Ok... I searched for 0.16 release on the search bar and found nothing. So I´ll ask: any idea when the 0.16 will be release? before or after 1.9? any chances to 1.8.1 compatible?
When a lever/trapdoor is connected to an ACTIVE zeppelin/ship/elevator (haven't tried out the turntable) and then right clicking any other block than the redstone switch or engine will cause the game to crash.
When a lever/trapdoor is connected to an ACTIVE zeppelin/ship/elevator (haven't tried out the turntable) and then right clicking any other block than the redstone switch or engine will cause the game to crash.
This is fixed for 0.16. It only happens if you don't have anything in your hand. It tries to place the block, but since you have nothing in your hand, it gets null.
I posted this before, but I don't think anyone took notice of it.
Would it be possible to have bearings, in degrees, displayed along with speed, yawrate, and ascent? It would make it a lot easier to navigate if you are flying long distances.
I'm looking into this right now, along with some other 'instrumentation' ideas.
That's what I thought/meant. I'm an engineering major, so sometimes it shows :cool.gif:
http://www.ffmpic.com/u/scidude
is there a way to fix this bug? why does it not happen to others (just curious)? should i try using other versions?

When using the airship controller if I right click any block while its active Minecraft crashes.
When using the airship sometimes the controller block will disappear.
Both are known bugs. They are fixed in .16.

That's just a warning. I have the same thing occurring. I posted about it, but it was on page 227, not within your 5 page sphere of knowledge

i was spawning them with a torch.

I wanted this done LOONG before you even published this mod! And i knew it could be done! Thanks blakmajik!
It is pretty slow offcourse, but the fact that i can fly a 10000 block sized entity is just bonerific!
Tnx

Very close I think, just one or two things to finish up.
