That's sound. If you ever get really desperate, I'm pretty new to modding, but I learn fast when I have something I'm inspired to work on, and I'd do anything to see this glorious project not die. :wink.gif:

since hearing of this mod, every time I climb to the top of a mountain and survey the landscape, I think, "if I had the artifacts mod there might be a labyrinth in that valley or maybe an artifact buried deep underground waiting to be found." For this I thank you and i know I speak for everyone when I say, if you get this mammoth of a project done then... My life will be that bit better.

It has probably been said numerous times but I just wanted to say that this mod looks freaking awesome, and keep up the work, I look forward to this.
One suggestion though, don't make artifact equipment unbreakable, that's very bad. You should have the items loose durability, and once they reach broken status, have the item require a "repair or recharge" to fix the item.

I agree with that. Having unbreakable equipment would make it less challenging.

The artifact tools gradually run out of power and need to be recharged using an Orichalcum power core.
I have read the pitch and I think the idea is excellent (game-design wise) and very faithful to the original material. Possibly the most exciting mod I've seen in my short minecraft carreer.
Unfortunatly, as with the great majority of ambitious projects, target is too difficult to achieve within a reasonable amount of time and motivation quickly becomes a problem. Reliance on a single developper is also a risk and I am honestly worried about this project (as I would from any project slipping by 4 weeks after 3 months :biggrin.gif:)
I don't know anything about modding but wouldn't it be possible to release a first version soon (even with some features lacking) with upcoming updates synchronised with every official minecraft release ?
Kirb, at that point what is the probability for you to finish this mod in 2011 ? Wouldn't this mod benefit from a simple HTML page showing the ins & outs + a status for the project ? (I realize this is volontary activity for you which means it is probably a low priority, however it would keep interested people on edge, and this mod seems to have attracted quite a lot of attention already)
