after i updated to 1.3.2, i downloaded minecraft forge..then it told me wait while FML is setting up minecraft
environment..
i downloaded minecraft 1.4 and made a back up of my minecraft.jar , then i deleted the 1.4 minecraft.jar
and replaced it with 1.3.2 minecraft.jar (that has minecraft forge and some few things) and now every time
i open the game it tells me FML is setting up minecraft and it stills 0% for a long time..never increase
Stop meshing with the versions, and play minecraft with the forge version that works with that version of minecraft.
Oh, and delete META-INF. I know it sound stupid, but half of the time, the error comes from someone forgetting to delete META-INF, and then blaming the mod.
i think i have deleted meta-inf..and about that you said stop playing with versions..im too late, but thanks any way
and thanks for changing the topic name..other forums were going to delete it

delete your ./minecraft folder and relaunch the launcher you downloaded off Minecraft.net. Install the correct forge for the version of minecraft and you are set.
try MultiMC lancher. it lets you have multi MC jars called instances in one place. and you can downgrade, upgrade. and latest snapshots all in one place also. plus on click Forge install if you like. and is very easy to place mods in the mods folder.
Umm... hate to argue but u should really I mean REALLY revise your topic title (or else someone, like me, would have thought it the wrong way). But I do agree with FullInventory on how you should use MuliMC (or any other launcher that supports custom instances). As for the FML error, I would probably be assuming that you have incorrectly installed Forge or have not deleting the META-INF folder(just like someone above me or higher said)

im not sure..that could be dangerous, ill try to delete my "moded" minecraft.jar and re put the unmoded one, then open the game, then re put the moded one and open the game

Are you connected to the internet? If you are, you have to let minecraft through your firewall, you know, that popup that asks you to allow this program internet access?
environment..
i downloaded minecraft 1.4 and made a back up of my minecraft.jar , then i deleted the 1.4 minecraft.jar
and replaced it with 1.3.2 minecraft.jar (that has minecraft forge and some few things) and now every time
i open the game it tells me FML is setting up minecraft and it stills 0% for a long time..never increase
what can i do??
i think i have deleted meta-inf..and about that you said stop playing with versions..im too late, but thanks any way
and thanks for changing the topic name..other forums were going to delete it
delete your ./minecraft folder and relaunch the launcher you downloaded off Minecraft.net. Install the correct forge for the version of minecraft and you are set.
im not sure..that could be dangerous, ill try to delete my "moded" minecraft.jar and re put the unmoded one, then open the game, then re put the moded one and open the game
im sure im using the correct one
i my post name was changed for some reason not by me
i did what u said and re putted the modded 1.3.2 jar and it told me to watch "ForgeModLoader-client-0"
and i found this (it looks scary) :
