Has anyone been able to create a world similar to this one in the video? Been messing around with it but can't seem to come up with something that looks similar. I realize its a out dated video but was hoping to at least create something similar. Any tips would be great! Thanks.

Haven't run across anything yet, but careful of the cave settings....
(and I wondered why it was laggy...)
<Underground Lake Mod - Underground Lake Variables>
undergroundLakes:true
undergroundLakesInAir:false
undergroundLakeFrequency:2
undergroundLakeRarity:5
undergroundLakeMinSize:60
undergroundLakeMaxSize:260
undergroundLakeMinAltitude:10
undergroundLakeMaxAltitude:50
<Cave Mod - Cave Variables>
caveRarity:10
caveFrequency:40
caveMinAltitude:8
caveMaxAltitude:60
individualCaveRarity:50
caveSystemFrequency:15
caveSystemPocketChance:10
caveSystemPocketMinSize:4
caveSystemPocketMaxSize:8
evenCaveDistribution:false
<Cave Mod - Lava Pool Variables>
lavaLevelMin:0
lavaLevelMax:10
A suggestion? your waterlevel is at 16 and that's the surface. doesn't leave much room for caves before hitting the lava level at 8. Might want to drop max-lava down a few levels. Unless you don't mind ignoring the underwater areas.
I'm curious as to how the settings worked out. I'll have to try a few seeds myself. Thanks.
Floating Islands dot the distance skies along with large mountains that together cast ominous shadows ripe with dangerous foes!
**WARNING** These settings have reduced surface ores and overall less ore deposits, this is my custom-tweaked attempt to create a realistic level of difficulty, AKA no more 32-64 block large coal deposits within easy reach during your first day in the world
I've been trying to get nice soft rolling landscapes, with a few small hills here and there, but, i cant seem to manage :sad.gif:
could anyone gimme a hand with what settings i should be setting to what?
and is it possible to get little streams in there too?
I saw a video with the old version of this in it and there was a huge underwater cave system i have tried to make this but i couldnt. Has anyone made something like this?
I just wanted to tell you, this is FANTASTIC, I'm waiting for bob2 to start a more permanent world but I tried this out last night, made 5 worlds with it, all more amazing than the last.
Hey, thanks! It's become my default setting for new worlds too. I'm also looking forward to trying out bob2, but am trying to wait until after my exams finish.

Hey can anyone help me I am looking to make a real world One with large pockets of flatter land then you find large pockets of ocean so like 50 50 deep ocean land.
This works amazing but I am having issues is there anywhere with updated info on how to make certain terrain?
Right now I have the large oceans but I am trying to make flatter land not this 128 tall mountains what part of that do you change and in what dirrection to flatten it out?

Keep in mind the seed still affects the world, just not as much.
leave the fracturehorizonatl like that or increase it a little for larger land masses.
the more fracture vertical the flatter you can make the 'shelves' of land.
Hey! Could someone make a world similar to XxSlyFoxHoundxX's worlds? (link to see the worlds: skip to 7:07 in the video to see the world for a good amount of time).
SlyFoxHound's worlds are amazing. There are epic floating islands, but they aren't too big(maybe some are a little big) and there are a decent amount of them. Then, below the floting landmasses, there is normal world; rolling hills, lakes, no mountains though, and no ocean(for the most part). Also there is barely any snow or desert.
With the old biome terrain mod, i remember once seeing a 2-D graph showing the biomes produced by some x-value of moisture and some y-value of temp. I'd like to see that for this mod, if it's available.

Cool. I like it.

( I lowered the clouds with the Zombe's ModPack just for the screenshot. )
=)
Link?
What is it that you like about them?
You'll have to wait until the mod's been updated to 1.6.5, unless someone else is willing to help before then
No. But we might be able to come close. What characteristics are you looking for?
With something like no grass and no trees,flowere,cactus, etc it'll be pretty lifeless, as well without grass no sheep will spawn for wool.
So what do you really need it to be like?

Try with these settings like this;
thats why charcoal is AWESOME! WEWT! lol

Try setting
maxAverageHeight:0-5.0
maxAverageDepth:0.0
fractureHorizontal:-15.0
fractureVertical:5.0
volatility1:0.0
volatility2:0.0
volatilityWeight1:0.0
volatilityWeight2:0.0
leave the fracturehorizonatl like that or increase it a little for larger land masses.
the more fracture vertical the flatter you can make the 'shelves' of land.
try it on a few seeds.
This too extreme for you?
