A bit outside my knowledge at current. I do want to do something like that (although based around vanilla; no spells) but not in my current repertoire.

Don't know, but can you make animated ecnhantment mod depend on enchantment level? Maybe enchants that will add more damage to weapon and more defense to armor.
For example level 10 enchantment will glow very very impresive, as level 1 very poor.
No Trees Mod
And apparently it does require Forge in some capacity; I've been working with 582, but any version for 1.5 should work. Just make sure to add Forge then this mod.
HI new here. I am wondering if you could do a mod where when a tool is placed into a dispenser then when a redstone pulse comes around it would use the tool like the player. I think that would be kind of small, but a really cool add on.
thank you

The shiny effect on enchanted items is handled procedurally. Procedurally generated graphics are generally pretty tricky to tweak to do what you want unless you're familiar with what it's doing. Hell, even then it's hard. I spent months working on a nebula rendering algorithm.
Hi how do I install this with forge? I'm the guy above, obviously.
If you're using MultiMC create a new instance, r-click, edit mods, use the convenient forge button to add Forge, then add my mod to the same list so it appears underneath. If you're not using MultiMC, install Forge--like you're installing any other mod directly into the jar--then install mine the same way.

Redpower pretty much already has that. The Deployer. Well, the Block Breaker is for breaking blocks, the deployer does right-click actions. ComputerCraft also has turtles that largely fill that role. CC turtles are also way more useful than anything I could make.

Although it's a tool, it's not in any mod.
Idea:
All mobs have a random name over their head and a book that basically executes a /kill command whenever you write their name in it.
That's it, basically like a DeathNote.

1) Can't do.
2) Not sure ANYONE can do. You're talking about breaking some of the core "rules" Minecraft runs on.
3) Can't do.
4) That is a very coding intensive project. Making half slabs out of every material is a big job already, and then you want to have any slab combine with any other slab. You might as well go and get Red Power 2.

How about breaking down every block in the world to 1/8th of the size?
Yeah, not really doable. Well it is, but there are entire mods devoted to doing just that. I don't really feel like duplicating that work, given that Red Power's implementation is simply amazing and Little Blocks even has working redstone contraptions.

That is actually quite easy, hehe. Been working on a block that does something similar actually.
*Copies some code*
In the interest of not causing continuous block updates, it clears when placed and any time one of its neighbors changes.
Download; might require Forge (I have the latest for 1.4.7--532?--as my dev environment) because Forge is weird.
Hey, thanks for doing the mod for me! It even works on LAN!
Except with a different bucket or something because I don't want to replace normal water.
Forge, 1.4.7 please. Newest version of Forge for 1.4.7 is okay, since that's what I use.

Hi, I would like a mod for 1.5.1 that adds features to vanilla blocks.
1) Stairs can be sat on (like chairs)
2) You can place lava in cauldrons.
3) Command blocks can initiate multiple commands
4) You can place blocks in mine-carts
Thank you!

3) Nope. I'm not even going to touch that one
4) Doubt I could do it

I don't know how to make liquids...liquid yet. I was messing with it a few days ago and I couldn't get them to flow. >: (
Try copying the code for water, and adding some elements here and there.
