Minions is the closest word I could find to fit it too. In other minions mod where mobs help you they don't ever fight against other players minions which I believe would be really cool. Advanced warfare would have mobs that, yes work for you but not to gain resources only to destroy enemies. (like I think I said before I would like to intertwine this with Tekkit for equivalent exchange and industrial craft or whatever mod adds pipes)
I hope this clears up what the minions do.
Thx
Mod Name: Recent Server List Mod Description: simply writes to a text file the ip, motd, and time connected of servers recently connected to. Any Additional Information: Thanks!
Mod Name: Teleportation Device Mod (or something similar)
Mod Description: Adds a device to Minecraft that, when placed in inventory, gives the player the ability to teleport short distances (5-15 blocks) with the press of a keyboard key (binding can be changed in the controls menu).
Any Additional Information: The device will be similar to that of the compass in size and shape. Device will need to be built with a battery and the actual device.
You build the battery and the device separately, then you place both the Device and the Battery in a crafting slot to place the battery inside it. After a while the battery will run out of juice, thus leaving you with just the empty device. Only way to use the device again is by placing a new battery inside it using the inventory crafting square.
You can also craft a rechargeable battery by using more hard-to-find materials. This battery is valid to three to five uses before needing to recharge, and recharging takes up to three seconds.

Hey, Davidee (David: Enterprise Edition? heh) I've enjoyed using your painting and not selection GUI mods in the past. Pretty neat stuff.
I'm currently working through a few mod ideas myself and learning how to code with Forge (I know Java). And thought I'd shoot my mod idea at you to see if you were interested.
Mod Name:Totemic (Working name)
Mod Description: Did you ever want to utilize the "natural world" of Minecraft in a way that Industrial Craft and Buildcraft utilize energy? Well, with this mod would allow you to do similar things but very differently.
This mod has a few mechanics that make it different from other mods altogether. Your "machines" are totem poles with a base block and 0-4 blocks above the base block and 0-4 blocks below the base block (usually under ground). The blocks that exist under the base block enhance the base block by adding internal energy capacity, connections to other machines (like pipes do in other mods, or wires for energy) and ore specialization to a totem (aka increased efficiency/output of operations). The blocks above the base block provide increased inventory space, processing slots, speed, or other capabilities. NOTE: I can provide an image that better explains this.
Each totem has it's own "configuration" which must be carved into a base block. Using a crafting table-like grid, placing a carving tool (chisel, knife, etc) in one slot and a block of some material in another, you can create patterns. The patterns must match a recipe and the tool must be capable of carving the block. For instance, I was thinking of a 4x4 grid. If the chisel is in the upper right and the block is in the lower left, you carve something that looks like a fat uppercase J. Then, put the block up one space from the bottom left and the chisel up one space from the bottom right and you create a straight line that connects the small part of the J across like a lowercase T. That could be the symbol for a totemic furnace (as an example). More complicated machines may require dyes to color the carvings during the carving process. In any case, instead of just lumping together a bunch of different items, you actually carve your machines, attach carved blocks to the top/bottom, and your multi-block structure is ready to go...almost.
You need some sort of power to get totemic machines to work. I joked around with a friend and called it Mu (the Greek letter μ) which stands for Magic Unit. You can generate Mu through natural forces: Running water, Lava, Sunlight, Wind, the burning of fossil fuel (charcoal and coal), or by sacrificing blocks to another totemic machine. The closer to the natural state of the item you get, the more Mu it generates. So wood log is better than planks, smooth stone is better than cobble, sand is better than glass, sandstone (naturally occurring!) is 4x better than sand (4 sand = 1 sandstone afterall), grass is better than seed, leaves than saplings, you get the idea. Basically anything that occurs naturally during world gen (aside from cobblestone and obsidian) has a certain amount of Mu that it can produce. If you can create infinite amounts of a material (cobblestone, smooth stone, obsidian) it is worth far less than something else. Dirt, being very populous is not worth much (same as sand) but grass blocks are worth a bit more.
In any case, Mu can travel through carved blocks that connect the energy source to the totemic machines like wires. Or, you can wirelessly provide Mu to totemic machines which are close enough to benefit. The amount of Mu available this way is reduced by the number of air blocks between the Mu source and the machine, while solid blocks simply block the transfer of energy.
Solar energy is created by combining carved blocks into solar collectors that sit at the bottom of ponds and other bodies of water. This will not work in a river biome since rivers are flowing water (blocks that collect the energy from flowing water exist as well). NOTE: I can provide images that explain this.
The mod doesn't stop with machines. There are items that allow you to collect mob essence. Creeper essence, for instance, can be applied to tools to increase the "explosive" quality of the tool. For instance: Apply creeper essence to a shovel to allow the shovel to dig a 3x3x1 space instead of a 1x1x1 space. Apply enderman essence to a bag and a chest to link the bag and the chest. What is in the chest appears in the bag and visa versa. Ghast essence can be ingested to allow limited creative-mode flight. Cow essence acts like milk but with a time limit applied to cancel any effects of potions/poison that happens in that time. Squid essence allows the player to breathe underwater and swim faster for a certain amount of time. Mob essence can be applied or be a required part of a totemic block crafting recipe which provides the enhancements necessary for the block to function.
There are parts of the mod that deal with traditional and non-traditional elemental forces as well.
Any Additional Information: My main goal for this mod is to provide a magical means to do what Buildcraft, Industrial Craft, and other mods do but in a very different way. It might be too similar to these other mods, for sure, but I think the above description (a sizable taste of what I want to do) is pretty unique in the way things are crafted, the way mobs are used, and how you generate energy.
I can provide conceptual images for parts of what I've described and lists of energy comparisons between mods along with further descriptive text if you need it. There shouldn't be any new world gen or mobs, just more blocks and items along with the coding necessary to create these items.
I would really like to see a mod that adds a new feature to the menu and that is to regenerate the world so new ores and structures (from mods) show up without getting rid of your buildings. But for gameplay mods,I really like mods that add new ores and stuctures. But my favorite kind of mod are kind that add new dimension(s).
Hello, I would like to request a mod about the King Ramses character from Courage the Cowardly Dog. Incase you never saw it, on Courage the Cowardly Dog, there was an enemy named King Ramses who was animated in CGI and moved very uncartoon-ish. This mod should have a crafting recipe for an item called Ancient Slab. You must put it on top of a sandstone block to summon King Ramses. I was hoping that King Ramses would be animated and move just like in the show. If you don't know what he looked like or how he moved, just look it up on Youtube. When you summon him, he shows up outside your house and says Return the Slab constantly. You can either give him the slab by pressing Q or you can type the following five phrases in the chat box: No, What's your offer?, No deal!, Get away!, or No way! If you type one of these phrases he says " Return the slab, or tonight you will be visited by 3 plagues, each worst than the last." I want those lines to be directly from the episode. Whoever wants to make the mod, make the plagues however you want. Also, I don't know how you could defeat him, so make it however you want. I think it would be great if he could be animated just like in the show. I realize this would be very difficult for someone, so I recommend that an experienced modder would help make it. I know that it is possible because I have seen a mod that did this. I remember it having mobs that looked like they weren't pixelated and had unatural moving and models. So, I extremely want this to be a mod because it won' just benefit me, it would benefit everyone who watched Courage the Cowardly Dog when they were young.
Description: I find that I make a world and play it through, and end up beating the ender dragon and building an epic castle. Chests full of enderpearls and gunpowder and bones, and no other goals, and I've spent so much time that I don't want to start a new world, so I'm thinking that after I'm done with the main part of Minecraft I could tear the world apart fighting giant beasts.
So what would happen is when you have the game on hard difficulty there will be an option to "generate beasts". When you press this you will be prompted "are you sure". After that things get fun. Throughout the world will generate various nests and ruins filled with beasts and monsters, each nest having a Queen Beast.
Your goal is to kill them, ofcourse. So you use your abbundance of resources to make new weapons, powerful ones, like the Pearlblade or Bonebow.
These mobs are HUGE and dangerous. Whenever you come close to one their health appears on the top row, like the dragon's. And they don't just stand there, they can walk theough mountains, destroying them.
But fighting huge monsters is hard on your own, so I was thinking that the ability to summon and tame dragons would be awesome.
I could deffinately go into more detail here, with ideas for weapons and beasts and maybe even a furnace-type system to duplicate items (for a cost)
Oh, and seeing as you don't want your base destroyed there could be some kind of redstone-like system which keeps monsters away.
This sounds quite interesting! Obviously you've just said the basics - I'm going to need a lot more details (perhaps images as well). And I'm going to need modelers and people who can make item/block textures as well. PM me and we can get started on the mod.
I could help with some item textures for this idea! Email me at [email protected]
A deadpool mod would be cool You could do all the things deadpool could do and it would com with a world baced on the video game (I could help with the world)

How about something basic. Now that MC1.6.2 is out and it includes horse's, why not a "Pegasus Mod"? Just apply a certain quantity of feathers to the horse armor and then you will be able to fly while riding your horse. To craft it simply put the armor in the center and 8 feathers around it. It would come in handy if you like living on an island, only to find out that your horse can't swim, LOL. Imagine the epic air battles on a Faction Server, as you and your friends swoop down to attack someones fortress. Keep me up to date if you decide to do it, I'll be the first to download it.
Oh god, so many replies. I've looked at all of them, but I'm only able to write out a response to a few. Sadly, if I'm not responding, the answer is no

What is deadpool? xD
Basically a more natural/magical way to do the same things that Buildcraft and Industrial Craft do with a few modifications. My friend wanted more magical versions of those mods and we started planning out this one. The idea about using totem poles and limiting the upgrades to just a few (out of many) to help balance things out a bit more than the other two mods. We were not looking at adding item transfer or bringing in new liquids, just alternate (and green) methods to power stuff using as natural a method as possible. I particularly liked the solar energy idea of utilizing natural bodies of water or building water features with power blocks in the middle of the pool. The totems are also a pretty fun idea in my opinion.
Most of the magic-based mods I've seen do not do ore processing in a similar fashion to vanilla though Thaumcraft does have the Infernal Furnace. The problem with most magic-based mods are the side-effects of using the magical energy.
The only mod that I've seen that does anything similar to the carving is TerrafirmaCraft where you nap stones (bang them together in order to chip out the shape of tool you need). They provide an interface where you remove blocks in a pattern to give you a stone axe, pickaxe, hammer, etc. head which you attach to one stick. I have not seen machines carved with patterns and inlaid with dye to produce totem poles which provide mystic equivalents to furnaces and the like.
My request was a shot in the dark but I had to take it heh
And Deadpool is a crazy sometimes superhero/mercenary from the Marvel universe. At least that's the Deadpool I am familiar with... (http://www.deadpoolgame.com/). I think some IP issues might arise from this as well as the Pharoah request from a previous poster.
