the one thing that bothers me is the fact of an anti-grief server without using TNT: a very handy miners tool when at dead ends.
The most common greifable items are: wood, cobble, wool, stone bricks, glass, and farm products.
why not make a mod that allows TNT, and lava placement that
a.)does not work on or at others work that can be harmed within the tnts blast radius
b.) can be used by the person who made the creation.(this will apply for flames)
this way greifers won't be able to target others work while workers can work in the mines with TNT knowing their creations at home are safe.
I think there should be a plugin that when you type /start protect, any block you place, only you, and other people can touch. To stop protecting blocks you type /stop protect, to let other people touch the blocks you protect, you type /protect allow [player name]
why not make a mod that allows TNT, and lava placement
That sounds exactly like what you were saying...
But yes, that would be a good idea.
How would you let them use it in mineshafts, because they hadn't been placed by the user, but you still say that they should be able to blow them up?
If a person hadn't modified their ground at their house, people could still remove all the dirt/stone under their house.
whatisthatinthecornor-yeah but in that sense you would have to code every single block so that its not protected. Its possible but hey not a bad thought
BadW0LF- yes true... possibly make the mod so that in a surrounded area of placed blocks, a block below and the surrounding blocks would be protected.

Within limits, that would be good.
You could use this to grief by protecting blocks above other peoples houses, though.
Uh yeah you can already do all this wick bukkit, and gods, ever hear of GOOGLE?
Search "minecraft bukkit" and gee what is the first thing that pops up? Wow amazing huh? :tongue.gif: Stop being lazy and asking for others to give you a link. You want it bad enough look it up yourself. You could have had it in the time it took you to make that post.

If you actually look at the configuration file, you can choose which items to disallow.
