There are three tiers of ATVs based on how powerful the engine is. Tier 1 is the slowest and Tier 3 is the fastest.
To craft the Tier 1 engine:

To craft the Tier 3 engine:
Now that you have an engine, there are some other parts you will need to craft.
To get rubber:

To craft the handle bars:
To craft the axles:
To craft the wheels:
To craft the body:
Now that you have all the parts, you can craft an ATV.

To craft the Tier 3 ATV:
Now you have an ATV. Right click the ground with the ATV in your hand to place it down. You can get on the ATV by right clicking it. Drive forward with W and reverse with S. Steering is done with the mouse. To get off the ATV press the sneak button (left shift).
Installation: This is a forge mod. Go to the Minecraft Forge Website and download the installer for the recommended version of Forge. Make sure you run Minecraft with the correct version at least once before installing Forge. Run the installer and choose client. When finished, launch Minecraft. Create a new profile and choose the Forge version you installed where it says "version". Run Minecraft again using this profile. There will be a mods folder in your ".minecraft" directory after this. Put the ATV mod in the mods folder. Next time you run Minecraft with Forge, the mod will be running.
Okay, great mod dude... One problem, I made an Iron ATV and upgraded to a diamond one and I really don't want the iron one now, but I still want to have it in my inventory. So, my question is.. How do you take down an ATV without destroying it, or just how do I pick it up again.

AMAZING mod tho
I didn't add the option, it seemed odd to carry around an ATV, they are very large and heavy.
Id fixers work by changing the config, if there is no config then that will not work.
Not that one. It makes an idfix.txt in the .Minecraft folder. You can see where it fixes the conflicts. If a mod does have a config file, idfix negates it. I used idfix for a bunch of modpacks.
Id fixers work by changing the config, if there is no config then that will not work.
Idfix overrides Id values at the very core of Minecraft objects, in constructors, which, while effective, may have undesired effects: a mod would request to create a block with an Id of, say, 500, and created block would get Id of 4095, because Idfix overrides it to prevent a conflict.
Idfix Minus is the new iteration of the Idfix mod. It overrides the (broken) Minecraft Forge Id resolving algorithm. With Idfix Minus, all fixes to block and item Id conflicts go directly to mods' config files.
Having a config helps significantly when adding new mods. Handling the IDs ourselves can stop IDFix from re-assigning the IDs we have which creates a lot of agony and work when using things like modpacks and/or Minetweaker...
Can you at least tell us what IDs you've used ?
Update:
As suspected, even with IDFix, your mod is causing me problems... I can not find the matching IDs that your mod seems to be overwriting. My IDFix.txt isnt showing them even being overwritten and according to my IC2.cfg, they aren' being overwritten. However, according to my screwed up recipes and NEI dumps, your mod is overwriting some IC2 stuff, however, I cant change the IDs, and since the ic2.cfg isnt showing the IDs being used, nor is my idfix.txt I really cant do anything. I suppose I cant say that if id idfix was working properly, it would be fixed, but having a config would be much simpler for everyone and its almost expected with any quality mods now.
All that said, this mod is awesome, so I'd really REALLY like to be able to use it.
Uh, guys... I use the ATV in a NPC Village and I crashed into an Iron Golem, and it started to attack the ATV and after like 20 30 40 hits, it DIES! The ATV dies! what is it made of? It could Die? But it's still Cool mod.

I understand how you feel about being able to pick up the atv, but it would be REALLY helpful if i could.could you please add that in a new 1.7.2 update?

this would help, I also think that it might be a good idea to make them take some sort of fuel, coal or that crude oil or something, just to balance them out.

The recipe doesn't make sense, but I guess it's the best you could think of without involving other mods, and making it unbalanced.
On the other hand, the recipe for the car is very easy.
Maybe iron blocks instead of iron, with a dye in the middle(or in the sides) that will specify the color of the car.
Other than that, I will have to wait before trying the mod, since I'm still in the process of gathering new mods.
I released the mod a little too early. It's still a WIP, as you can see it's only day two and i've completely changed everything. Sorry about that.
Cool, thanks! Sorry I changed everything so soon. Hopefully it's not too much trouble to review the new versions as they come out.
AMAZING mod tho
Sure, have fun!
Try this IDFIX
Thanks, great video!
Cool, thanks!
Thanks! Your commentary helped me improve my mod!
Glad you like it!
