Absolute lifesaver in SSP, after trying some "other" means of transport, yours is totally the best most reliable, easy method / mod, that there is bar none.
Really well done and thank you very much!!

Thank you :). I really do appreciate the feedback on this. I never expected to receive this kind of response whe I made the initial release
Minor thing: In a high-latency situation (the kind where changing your active hotbar slot might not work), trying to use a warp will disconnect you from the server. Not sure if fixable, but that is a thing.
Do you mean use a warp, in the sense of the book, or in the sense of a single page?
EDIT: I can never post again. All my future posts will just be edits of this one
Duped books should work better, as they no longer rely on minecraft lore tags
Occasional spawning in blocks/falling through floors especially in unloaded chunks
I use this build in my 1.6.4 world, but I still teleport to shifted destination point from point used at bound page.
This is always horrisonl shifting. So i not have falling caces nit have some in wall teleprting cases.
If this is fixed in 1.7.2 this not big problem, I can live with it. Thank you for this nice mod!

The teleports are still very wonky in 1.6.4. However, I've fixed them in the 1.7.2 version. In 1.6.4, it always round coordinates down to the nearest whole. So just make sure you're not on stairs or something like that and it'll behave a little bit better
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned at all, and it might not be relevant, but I can't craft unbound warp pages because the recipe is identical to something used in another mod (the "scroll of escape"). I don't know if there's any way to get it to work outside of removing the other mod entirely, (it's one of the main reasons I play Forge... essentially trying to recreate Yogbox) but it is a thing.
Do you know how I might disable recipes from another mod? Or revise recipes in this mod?

You can either enable hardmode recipes, or use minetweaker. With minetweaker you can change either of the recipes to something else
/waypoint - This command defines a waypoint with an id, x, y, z, dimension and description
/waypointlist - This lists all of the waypoints currently saved on the server
/waypointdelete - Deletes a waypoint
/givewarp - Used to give yourself or another player a Hyper Page, which functions like a normal page, however, it links to the given waypoint. If the waypoint is changed, the page will reflect that change. If the waypoint is deleted, the page will cease to function

YOU ARE MY HERO
PLEASE DON'T EVER ABANDON THIS MOD
that is all.
ps
you might want to put teleport or teleportation in your thread title or something so that people from google.com can find it -- i bumped into this by accident, and 'warp' is not a word people would generally use to find this i think

Thanks! Glad to see it appreciated! I have no plans of abandoning it any time soon. I'll leave it in the hands of another if I ever did quit.
This thread is tagged with teleportation, but adding it in the title is an excellent suggestion
Panicnot, I want to inform you that, even though the pack is in a super Alpha stage, I will be including the Warp Book mod in a modpack Im trying to design.

Alright, thanks for the notice! If you have any issues, feel free to PM me
I couldn't find mention of this in the forum, but has anyone encountered this issue:
Using - Warp-Book-1.6.4-0.0.177 and mystcraft-uni-1.6.4-0.10.12.00
When a player sets a warp page in a mystcraft age, then exits to Overworld (say via /home), then uses the warp page to return to the age, a nether portal is created right near the age's spawn point.
If you walk thru the portal, you go to the nether and when you return thru the portal, you return to OverWorld at the same coords (new portal created) as the nether portal originally created in the mystcraft age.
This is creating problems due to the number of new portals that get created in Overworld, that often conflict with one another.

Hmm.....that's a neat bug....
I'm gonna try to reproduce that. Just a bit busy with real life this week :P. This may be my bug, or Mystcraft's bug... I'll have to look into it
It is likely related. I have a hunch this issue won't exist in the 1.7.2 version.... Will have to test. I believe the issue comes from the call to a vanilla method that shouldn't be doing nether portal stuff but, apparently is.

Fantastic mod! I did a mod showcase on it if you are interested in checking it out, I hope I did the mod justice!
On a side note from someone who does a lot of showcases, thank you so much for creating a logo for the mod! It makes making a thumbnail for the video infinitely easier!

Thanks! I always appreciate spotlights :). Hunger going down is intentional. You can turn it off in the configs. I should get to updated the original post with this kind of stuff...
Could you add the hardcore option for the 1.6.4 version? Thanks
I'll look into it. With this mod's recent addition to Agrarian Skies, I'm likely going to start support for 1.6.4 again. In the meantime, try using minetweaker
No problem :). I'm happy it's appreciated

This version adds four new commands
/waypoint - This command defines a waypoint with an id, x, y, z, dimension and description

It is fully multiplayer compatible. In fact, it includes several commands for server administrators
