Just curious guys, i am not impatient, but why is thaumcraft updating and staying at 1.6.4?
Azanor was working on this update before forge was really stable for 1.7, so this was the last "Major" update for 1.6. Every update since has been hotfixes for bug and glitches, and I recall Azanor saying he was starting the update, but it will take time. I personally helped a mod update to 1.7 by beta testing, and an unholy amount of things broke.

Scanning currently sees each of the different damage values on the runic armor as a unique item. Definitely a bug and already fixed in my current dev versions

Just wanted to report that item grates act extremely weird when interfacing with pipes or itemducts. I've been trying to tie together my Railcraft and golem setups for sorting and processing (I love worker golems, like having a factory!) but the item grates are extremely unreliable - unless a player is directly nearby, they will bounce items around (itemducts) or just shoot them off into outer space (BC pipes.) This even happens Thaumcraft mirrors - if you place a mirror a few blocks above an open item grate, with a decent drop beneath the grate and the floor, and then send items through it, they will shoot off in random directions much of the time after passing through the grate, rather than falling straight down as you would expect. They only seem to work properly with a golem throwing items in directly.
This makes me quite sad - I was very happy to hear about how the grates were supposed to drop items (for golems). I know TC is pretty much done for 1.6.4, but figured it was worth bringing it up.
Happens to me with hoppers, sometimes the items drop, sometimes they fly off in odd directions. I think it's a slight 'attraction' effect from the hopper, only a guess though. I solved it the same way you did; feed the grate with a golem instead
Arcane infusion will start infusing shears with silk touch, but wont suck essentia so it wont ever do it. Too bad I found cobwebs in a chest, wanted to make silk touch shears, since getting a book with it is just so rare.
Yeah that's probably the part about infusions enchanting that made me sad. You need silk touch to get Silk Touch. It seems like it counters the point of infusion enchanting. I wouldn't mind if it was a laundry list of items that needed to be sheared and a pair of shears. I mean silk touch and shears kinda have the same principle. Collect blocks without damaging them.
Just built my first Alumentum generator and it was working smoothly at first, then it just stopped working. Is there any known problem with using an AE system inserting materials into Thaumcraft furnaces and the Auto-alchemy machine?
Is it not possible to craft a Thaumium bossed staff of the primal ? Because even with my thaumaturge's gear, it requires 153.6 aspects whereas the Thaumium Silverwood Wand can only hold 100 of each. And thanks or any help !
Is Runic armor supposed to break?
If it doesn't there is a bug that causes it to disappear after a few hits. (Seems to happen when all parts are out of charge).

You got any mods that add new mobs? Specifically, mobs that damage armor more than usual in some way? Because it's not supposed to break, but some other people were having this same problem, and armor-damaging mobs ended up being the problem if I remember correctly. If that was the problem, it's with whatever mod adds that mob, I believe, not with Thaumcraft.

Nearly all of those mods are ones I don't use so I'm unsure what one it could be. All I can do is suggest you check to make sure all the mods you have are the most recent version.
Well, if you really badly want to know what one it is there is a way to find out. It's rather tedious though. Remove all your mods except TC4. Then add 1 mod and load up minecraft. If it works then add another mod and keep going until you receive the same crash.

Or just use Enchanted Cloth or something (you know, actual silk). Or even use a block that does require Silk Touch, but is collectable with a gold pick or something that can roll Silk Touch at the vanilla table, so you don't have to actually come up with an book.

Update to the newest version of Extrabiomes. They had this issue with an earlier version. Of course, it could be some other mod that I don't know about.

I love your mod, pretty much my favorite mod for minecraft, and my absolute favorite part of it is the golems. What you have done for them in 4 and 4.1 have completely revolutionized the way they work, which is great. If you are planning on adding any new golem cores in the future, I wanted to suggest an idea I have for a Golem Core of Operation, which is an upgrade of the Golem Core Use. It allows a golem to operate redstone input devices like levers and buttons in a certain order (the order in which you picked the desination spots). And it would be really useful if the golem would only start his sequence of operations if his home block is powered (redstone torch or powered block). This golem core would allow you to easily make redstone systems that require complex sequences of input.
If you read this far, I really thank you for your time and hope you seriously consider my suggestion.
I think I will just wait for Azanor to make a way to craft it with the basic Thaumcraft stuff as the TT alternative is too expensive. Thanks for your help !

You know you can just turn off the "Rust" property in the config file and not disable the whole mod.
Which addon makes it possible ?
