Uploaded a new 1.6.4 build. I simplified the crucible model to try to reduce the lag generated by big lava factories with 50 or 100 crucibles. This isn't an amazing solution, but the poly count is about 20% lower now, which should help some.
It has been suggested that I turn the crucible into a simple textured cube and add a GUI, but if I did that, then the mod will start to turn into something that I wouldn't want to play with. The aesthetics are a very important aspect of my blocks and I don't want to sacrifice their interactive nature or their visual appeal to try and maximize performance.
While I'm posting anyway, I wanted to clarify something I said earlier about the lag being generated by TE Itemducts. My description of what was going on was a wrong because I hadn't worked on the crucible code in a while. I said that itemducts were sending a whole stack of cobble to try and feed a crucible, but my past self was smart enough to make sure that the crucibles have an advertised stack limit of 1 item. The itemducts are respecting that limit and only sending one item at a time.
After I discovered that I now had no idea why itemducts were getting stuffed up so badly, I spoke with KingLemming and the Thermal Expansion team and the concensus that was reached was that there wasn't anything either of us could do to prevent that situation. Basically, if you use itemducts to feed crucibles, set up a trashcan or nullifier to absorb the extra cobble that will build up in the itemducts over time. This is simply something that you'll have to take into account in your builds. I wish I could offer a better solution.
Well, I'd suggest to fill the crucibles with the pipes of Extra Utilities. It's not the cheapest solution, but the most common. The reason is simple: If you play with Extra Utilities, a cobblestone generator is fairly simple done ([LAVA][COBBLESTONE][WATER]) and you'll get also 32 pipes per recipe. So this would be the best solution. From the crucibles themselves, you may now use the pipes fro Thermal Expansion without a problem.
@Erasmus_Crowley: Is it now possible to get to the End somehow or did I got lost in the spoilers? If now, how about to get Portal Blocks by throwing an Eye of Ender in witched water? So it's not too easy to get to the End, since you need twice the amount of Eye of Ender to get to the End (Once for getting the blocks and once for activating the portal) Should be fair I think, isn't it?
The problem with the End Portal Frame blocks is two-fold. 1) They are, for all intents and purposes, bedrock. 2) You must place the frame blocks facing the correct direction or else they will not work and you have useless bedrock-like blocks and possibly wasted an eye of ender activating a block that will never work
Also, selfquote from Ex Aliquo. As it's large, spoilerselfquote!
You have to place them in the correct direction??
I was getting so annoyed with the portal blocks sometimes working and sometimes not working... ugh, to think it was directions....
And say, can't we solve the issue by making end portal frames breakable?(but not replaceable, no)
And I think endstone in witchwater with endereye is a better recipe for end portal frames

I found a minor, but somewhat annoying bug involving hammers and Multimine-- if you hammer a block and pause for a moment at any point before breaking it, it'll drop as the original block rather than the processed block (i.e. cobble will cobble instead of gravel, gravel will drop gravel instead of sand, etc.). While it's an earlier version (I'm still playing on 1.6.4), I didn't find any mention of this with a quick look through the changelogs or a forum search, so I decided to report it.

Erasmus_Crowley, I just wanted to let you know that I've created a very small mod bridge to allow sieving of a few ingredients for some of Reika's mods. I don't know the rules of posting links to other mods so suffice to say if you're interested search for posts by me. If you wish to contact me, doing so via this forum is the easiest way.
Thank you for such a great mod! I'm using it to bring FTB's TechWorld2 to Skyblock.

Probably has something to do with the way hammers work. Instead of editing the blocks to do certain things when affected by hammers, the hammers have recipes. I might be (and probably am) completely wrong about this. That's just what I picked up in my adventures through the source.

You're posting a link to the addon for the mod whos thread you're in. It's fine. In fact,

Real dumb luck.
On the plus side, I got ancient spores after sieveing like what, 6 sand? so I can get infinite soulsand, as soon as I re-automate my cobble generator(thermal explansion doesn't work with AM2 that I just got, so I can't use that anymore).
And just a question. How come we can get most hostile mob drops (sieving), but not peaceful mob drops?
And is the gothic/black doll really necessary? I find enderpearls quite easy to get in skyblock

Hostile mob drops are available for players who want to play skyblock on peaceful, or make all of their stuff themselves. Although there is no way to get bones without killing skeletons. You can get passive mobs regardless of difficulty. Also, wouldn't it be odd to find leather in a pile of dirt? I would certainly think so.
It might be odd to find leather in dirt, but can't we get loads of paper/leave/vine and slime to make a thick, though paper that can act as a leather-replacer? Why not get some paper, string, and sticks and make a 'fake feather'? Meat would make no sense no matter what you do, but leather and feathers, why not?

You get paper from sugarcane, which you get from sieving. You get leaves from trees, which you get from sieving. You get vines from jungle trees, which you get from sieving. You get slime from milk which you get from cows which spawn on grass which you get from sieving. All-in-all, you get it from sieving. And you get passing mobs from spawns on grass which you get from sieving. So sieve more
Actually, I should sieve less dirt and place more.
I should also sieve more gravel for more metals and stuff. And grow more trees for wood. And get more dirt for a bigger farm. And make a better mob trap for more rotten flesh.
Anyways, the difference is, you can get plant matter relatively easy from sieving. You can get hostile drops relatively easy, it's just a matter of building a platform far away enough(around 24 blocks away iirc). But with passive drops, you have to first sieve dirt until you get grass seeds. then you have to get enough stuff to compost into dirt and make a sizeable patch(I find that you usually need several stacks of dirt), wait grass covers a good portion of it, then wait some more for the mobs to spawn.
I find it takes a long time, is extremely grindy, and frankly, really, really annoying.
- fixed a couple of bugs which prevented multiplayer servers from launching
- added Acacia barrels and sieves.
- added an Acacia seed which can be found by sifting dirt.
- added Dark Oak barrels and sieves.
- added a barrel recipe for Dark Oak saplings. (witch water + oak sapling)
- the following can now be composted: acacia saplings, acacia leaves, dark oak saplings, dark oak leaves, raw salmon, cooked salmon, pufferfish, clownfish, poppies, blue orchids, alliums, azure bluets, red tulips, orange tulips, white tulips, pink tulips, oxeye daisies, sunflowers, lilacs, rose bushes, and peonies.
- updated the model for the unfired crucible so that it matches the alterations done to the finished crucible.
I think this should be full compatibility with all the new 1.7 stuff. There are still a few systems that I want to rewrite, so I still don't consider this a stable build.
Also, I started a patreon account! A few of you have asked me to create one of these so that you guys can show me your support. There you go.

You can get passive mobs regardless of difficulty. Also, wouldn't it be odd to find leather in a pile of dirt? I would certainly think so.

So sieve more
I should also sieve more gravel for more metals and stuff.
Then the angry doll would be absolutely worthless and a pointless waste of a diamond/emerald.

Big ol' 1.31 update for 1.7.2
- fixed a couple of bugs which prevented multiplayer servers from launching
