Because a id manager mod I am using idfix minus does not always do it's job. More specifically sometime when I have geostrata installed despite there being available space and the mod is installed it doesn't change the ids and causes the game to crash. The reason why specifically I don't know but right now I theorize it has to do with the config options being in another folder. Again this is theoretical.
ID fixing utilities are garbage.

The jet engine can no longer be shut down while starting up, as it has too much inertia.
Gas turbine that consume fuel, or would not be unrealistic to be stopped?
Such a thing does not occur in gas turbine which is managed in my work and would useless if there is such a thing.
I am using this mod with the monster pack on feed the beast. I am trying to use the air compressor with buildcraft but there is no power output to buildcraft. Any ideas?
Two questions, how do I charge night vision goggles from this mod (I've been using the diamond helmet version instead) so that they work, and, is there a version of night vision that doesn't use the enchantment that adds the obnoxious swirly blue effects around me? If I could just get night vision without the notification of the enchantment and its effects that would be sweet.

The only other way to do it would be to edit the render engine, so no.

Are you using at least 10kW or so? Also, check the orientation.

In real life, if you tried to shut down a gas turbine during spinup you would probably destroy it.
Also, I am toying with an idea for 1.7:
Both DyeTrees and GeoStrata have been drifting away from their roots and towards more "magical" properties. Would it be a good idea to move the crystals, plants, and guardian stone from GeoStrata to DyeTrees, and rename that mod "Rainbow Magic"? This leaves GeoStrata as it originally was when I first created it, with only the stone, and it would silence all those people complaining about wanting either the rock or the crystals removed from GeoStrata.

Sound's like a pretty decent idea to me - the main thing stopping me from adding GeoStrata is the fact I really only want the crystals. Plus it would give a bit more creative freedom with what you could add to Rainbow Magic. Rainbow horses-of-a-different-color, anyone? XD

Well, I just found out that that name would be a very poor choice.

Ok I need a little help.
This is v19, my ShaftJunction's are refusing switch them to 31:1 and 15:1 inline setting in split mode and Waila shows "ERROR" under name.
Agreed. I must admit I am somewhat tired of seeing people post logs with auto-generated IDs of -40 or 328747.
*gives nod in approval* (sorry been spending too much time on the SMP forums)
I was about to ask a question regarding electricraft but I'll ask it later if it turns out it really is an issue.

It seems like a story it is not related to the fuel consumption of the gas turbine.
So, assuming you can not shut down the gas turbine, M1 tanks of U.S. Army is that we always consume fuel! Its consumption is the lowest 12 gallons per hour.
For fuel economy, the system has to work with only auxiliary power in practice.

So after having played around a bit with reactors after finding all info together from old posts I still got 1 burning question:
the spent fuel container should be surrounded by water right? It responds to pipes and lets the degraded products get sucked out by pipes. Only every once in a while one of these containers blows up. I got it all surrounded by 5x5 water around the containers, except for the bottom and top where the pipes go in.
So what am I doing wrong? Should I make sure some products don't get together or is there another way of cooling the container any faster?
I do love the glowing green waves of radiation all around my void island, but setting up the containers again and again just isn't called automation, or for that matter, efficient...
Is it actually surrounded by water on all sides (except the bottom)? Are the chunks getting unloaded?

When DragonAPI is installed along Galacticraft, opening the compressor from galacticraft causes minecraft to crash with this report: http://pastebin.com/VBVHL9cL
According to this post from the galacticraft forums, it is due to DragonAPI including an outdated version of the galacticraft api.
I never really realized how much energy those gas turbines produced. Someone asked me how much RF/t you could get from one with a rotational dynamo, and an 8:1 gearbox on torque maxes out to the 11924 RF/t generation.

This sounds like a great idea. Gives GeoStrata a clear purpose, instead of two very different things packaged together into one mod.

You might run into the same problem by moving the crystals to DyeTrees that you have in GeoStrata. Some people may only want the crystals and not the trees as well. I love GeoStrata for both the stone and the crystals, yet I have no interest in anything DyeTrees gives directly. Unless there is a config to only run the crystals if you move them to DyeTrees then the same problem may persist.
Perhaps make a clean split and move the GeoStrata crystals to their own unique mod?

No, I do not want yet another mod to manage, and they are required for anything crystal-related, including the Guardian Stone and crystal blooms, both of which are clearly magical.

Indeed.
No one ever seems to get it right. They either don't do their job or they do something stupid.
