I want to use this so badly because it looks so good and it runs great but the sun and moon just overlay everything except players.
Also 20 FPS is good for me because I am comping previously from a Compaq CQ60 running Vista, yeah...

I have an A8-5500 APU, :P. I get the same error. Sildur says that on other AMD GPUs, MC simply crashes, so apparently the APU users get a bit more luck from what I observed.
Edit: My A8 is the desktop(PC) one, not the laptop.

Her are my experiences with these shaders so far.
Pre5 seems to work fine except for some issues (I suspect that's due to my graphics card, though ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4500):
The draw distance of dropped items is extremely low. They pop into vision only when I'm basically right in front of them.
They and mobs always have the same lighting level. In the night thy are unnaturally bright and pop out because of that.
Sun and moon have a square around them and both are visible through blocks. So at night the I can see the moon through the trees and the sun at my feet. It's the same issue Inothernews1 has reported with the max cel version of Pre5. I guess it's related to the sun glare effect.
Really a shame. This is the one shader mod my system seems to be able to run at playable FPS. But these issues are a game breaker for me.
As for v8: I have no idea what it's supposed to do other than giving my screen a blueish overlay.
May you please provide your hardware? The sun-moon bug was reported by both me and Inothernews1. This seems like an AMD issue(best case scenario). We both had AMD APUs, also.
P.S. There really aren't these kinds of bugs in pre 5, these are problems with the graphics cards(specifically AMD). Nvidia and macs with nvidia work fine. Apparently, one other amd gpus, MC crashes when this happens.
This should work with Nvidia cards. The only problem is that this card isn't in the least bit powerful and according to passmark, is 2 times less the power of an intel 4000, which is already not runnable with shaders. Geforce 320M Intel 4000 My intergrated GPU, Radeon 7560D
Now, you must also have the right versions of drivers if it isn't a hardware issue. I'm not sure with Nvidia cards because I had no experience with this.

Open gbuffers_water.vsh with an editor you can disable it at the top of it.

Maybe I am not clear. That is what I do to bump-shadow-waving not your shader but I think there is possibility that your shader suffer the same problem.
When I change variables type, I have to add also '.xy' or '.st' or '.rg' where the old vec2 are assigned or used and for vec3 '.xyz' or '.stp' or '.rgb'.

No it's fine, I know what you mean just tested it, but got some other issues with the sun then, even through it didn't glitch through the ground anymore.
Umm... Whenever i use the vibrant V5 shader i get the sun and moon in their very own box that ignores blocks... I will try to get an image up. BUT HALP!

I changed all varying vec2/vec3 to vec4 to make it work.
ShadersMod use program "gbuffers_skybasic" for sky and use "gbuffers_skytextured" for sun,moon,customsky.
Open gbuffers_water.vsh with an editor you can disable it at the top of it.
