This is a client-side only mod that allows a player to toggle sneak and sprint. When ToggleSneak is active, the player can press the sneak button to turn sneaking on/off. A player can turn the ToggleSneak option on and off (Press to toggle or hold to sneak) by pressing the "Sneak Toggleable" key which defaults to "G", which can be changed in your Control Options.
With this mod, you can stay still on a ladder while chatting in MP! That's right, you stay sneaking even while chatting! Stay sneaking while opening a chest!
With the Toggle Sprint option on, simply holding the forward button makes you sprint! No need to double tap! This can be changed on and off via the keybinding, which defaults to "C" and can be changed in the Options Menu.
Oh, good, I was worried for a while that this had been abandoned. I know there are alternatives like that one mod that lets you do tons of different things with your binds, but all I need is this. Thank you for making this!

There's no reason to abandon such a useful mod - I even use it myself. Thanks and you're welcome!
there is one problem with this mod and it is that the keybindings for Toggle Sprint in the option menu can't be changed because the Done button is in the way.

If you use Forge you won't have this problem Otherwise, I guess you can edit the options/keybinding file manually.
Not working, when I press the G only chat opens, no sneak. When I press C nothing happens. (using magic launcer without forge, it is really nessesary ?)

Those are the toggle keys.
By default, pressing shift will allow you to toggle sneak. If you press G, it goes back to vanilla sneaking. If you press G again, it goes back to toggle mode.
Then you can do the same thing with sprint, expect the key is now C. Note that you can change these keys if you find they're conflicting with another mod/your current setup.

Speaking of the key cofigs I'm having an issue where resetting the toggle keys in game in the controls menu is not sticking. It will work for that session of Minecraft but if I exit and load back up again the keys have changed back to their defaults. I am unsure if this mod is causing this or if it's Forge or something else because this mod's keys are the only ones I change. I'll do some experimenting later tonight at home to see if key configs from other mods are having the same issue. If so it's most likely Forge, but I'd figure I'd mention it.

Disregard. It seems to be Forge. None of my keybindings for any mod are sticking. However keybindings for default Minecraft stuff are. I'll take this over to the Forge forums.
I can't even use the mod. the default buttons aren't working, I've pressed them once, sneaked, pressed them again, sneaked, and it won't do anything. (same with sprinting)
Key options for your mod aren't even listed in options.txt (yes I scrolled down). I installed your mod with Magiclauncher, but I'm not sure it's loading it properly.
I like this mod idea. The one thing I always hated about Halo was that by default you would only crouch if the button to crouch was actively pressed, I don't like this about minecraft either. I was originally disappointed cause I only read that it was modloader compatible, I overlooked forge.

Are you using Forge or ModLoader? Note that with the mod installed, pressing Shift should toggle sneaking. Is it not?
How would I go about installing it if I'm using Modloader in 1.6.2?
Install ModLoader then put this mod into the mods folder. I'm not entirely sure on the installation instructions for ModLoader 1.6.2 - check Risu's thread.

Thanks! But yup, it's compatible with both ModLoader and Forge

Also you should edit the mod.info file for some extra instructions. That way people can see exactly how the mod works before they launch.

Can't they just read the thread? But I could add that for those using Forge.

Forge fixes those issues, but there might be a jar edit mod to fix that.
If you don't want to switch to Forge, you're going to have to change your keybindings manually by editing the options file.

That's the point of the mod?
