I'm curious, is there a way you could add a config to the blood armor extra health pool effect? It's beinging a problem on my server where people feel the only valid path to go is Blood Magic when it comes to it because the extra health pool effect is so powerful. I've had someone with nearly 600 health stored up at some points....
I don't feel anything else is that far off, but that armor needed to be able to have the ratio to LP to extra life changed.
Either I need a config option to change the value/disable it, the effect itself needs to be heavily toned down, because nearly half my server feels that, compared to Blood Magic, everything else is just too weak almost purely due to that armor (note, Everything else being Ars Magica and Thaumcraft 4). To some people, it is feeling like "you are a noob for NOT using the best gear" style thing, when you are supposed to have choices based on what you wanted to specialize in.
Yeah, I agree. Currently it is set to 15LP per half heart protected. I'm bumping that up to 75LP per instead, so that will be 5 times the cost. The efficiency will come from how good your altar is, instead of also from OP armour.
I could dupe the sacrifical knife by placing it on the altar (0.5.2). It did not get removed from my inventory for multiple tries. (could dupe 4 knifes).
I don't seem to have that issue in my version. May be fixed.
I'm cutting a release of 0.6.0 today, firstly as a beta then for the general public. Expect to hear it soon!
v0.6.0 is now released! Teleposers are now in, and will hopefully allow you to think of some fun alternative builds. As always, if you find a new glitch let me know immediately.
Will you be planning any mod support?
Or Mod integration?
Not really currently... Don't think integration should happen until there is something that is really needed to be integrated. Unless you can think of something right now.

i've been messing around with your mod in creative for a bit now and am trying to automate sacrifice with tinkers construct and thaumic tinkerer, but what bugs me a little is that it is hard to tell weather i set the altars up right or not. Would be cool to have some indicator like blood dripping from the stonebrick pillars or runes appearing on them and maybe the beacon beams turning red, and a way to tell which bloodrunes are active. hey new version yay!
Funny that, for the next update:

Also, i don't know if this is intendet or a bug:
You can not sacrifice baby mobs, including Baby Zombies.
Another minor problem :
The Sacrifical Dagger seems to not properly register as a weapon with minecraft as you can one hit blocks in creative with it.
I believe your not suppose to sacrifice Baby things cause they don't have that much soul yet (or however it was stated in the OP). Also in creative you automatically destroy blocks with one hit regardless of what you are holding (unless you mean something else in which more info would be needed).
Is the Magician's Blood Orb recipe working? I pumped quite a bit of blood into an altar with a gold block but it just drank it all and kept spinning. I made sure not to run out and waste any of it. It's a tier 3 altar, it wouldn't siphon up the life essence if it weren't properly upgraded, but I can't get it to resolve. Do I need tier 4 for the magician's orb or is there something else I'm missing?
Why does draining the Serenade of the Nether give me nausea for 4 seconds, but doesn't go away ever? Why can't I even fix it with milk?
EDIT: Do not be incapable of refilling your rituals, ever.
Also note that you can put an active level on the ritual (or some form of redstone wire) to deactivate the ritual if you start to experience nausea from the effects. Eventually, you should be able to have enough of a buffer in your Network to warrant going crazy with the rituals.

No, you need tier 3. I think the requirement for the life essence is probably a little too high as it stands right now. Currently, it is set to 40000 (Tooooooo much). Next release, which I might set as today, I'll lower it to 25000. It needs to be a challenge, but that is a little much.

Ok i looked throgh the code(hope you dont mind) and think i have identified a possible cause for the Problem with not being able to complete Recipes that cost over 10000 LP :
the Method startCycle() dosn't chech if the altar is already active and starts the Item construction over again whenever it is called:
aka whenever the Altars fill or the sacrifical Daggers findAndFillAltar are called.
I can also confirm that recipes requiring more than 10k LP are completely impossible, no matter which tier of altar is used.

Hmm. Wonder how I messed that up, because it should be fine as is. I think I found it, so lemme alter that. The data is actually saved in the ItemStack's damage value, so all I have to do is check if it is active - if not, it will reset the damage then start. This was due to some idiotic things happening with some items.

If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say you need to update your java. It appears like you are getting an End Of File Exception, which is not something you would get with ... well, anything MC-related unless someone, somewhere, is doing something incredibly wrong. Try updating your java, restarting your PC, and let me know if it fixes it!

I love this mod and the Transposers are amazing!! I have a question about the Transposers, Can I make a cycling chain? With only vanilla mechanics + mod. I would love to use this for my chest room. Just pull the lever and it cycles thru them.
Yeah, I agree. Currently it is set to 15LP per half heart protected. I'm bumping that up to 75LP per instead, so that will be 5 times the cost. The efficiency will come from how good your altar is, instead of also from OP armour.

Edit:
Fixed in next release. I must say they are becoming a bit of an annoyance, the imperfect rituals. Might remove them all together.

Darn, me too! I had a serious crash and erased all my minecraft stuff intending to reload from scratch; I didn't expect the download to be gone.
Dropbox, Y U no work!?
Fixed it. Not sure why the heck that happened. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Asking for updates is spam. Really.
I make some mods that are pathetically slow to update. Join in on the wait here and here.

No, you need tier 3. I think the requirement for the life essence is probably a little too high as it stands right now. Currently, it is set to 40000 (Tooooooo much). Next release, which I might set as today, I'll lower it to 25000. It needs to be a challenge, but that is a little much.

I can also confirm that recipes requiring more than 10k LP are completely impossible, no matter which tier of altar is used.

Really? One uses sugar, the other uses redstone. Checking recipes in dev environment... How the hell did I mess that up? That will be fixed.
I'll release v0.6.0a. If it isn't already in the OP, it will be soon. It will include fixes for these two things. Thanks for letting me know!
(Yes, I just tested it with the magician's orb. It now does work! ^_^)
