What is Natural Biomes 2? -
Natural Biomes 2 is a mod that adds more biomes that feel vanilla. On top of that this mod also adds variation to the biomes. For example I have mountain, extreme hills, and normal variants of most biomes. This mod is a rewrite of Natural Biomes which I made over a year ago. There are tons of plans for more biomes.
Compatibility -
I have wrote NB2 to be compatible with Forestry's humidity and temperature levels. This should make my biomes work fine with bees and stuff. I have also added them to the biome dictionary forge uses so it should make it work even better with other mods that access its contents.
Please READ if you are using other biome mods! - This mod uses a config file to change biome ids. If another biome mod has the same ids as mine they will cause chunk loading issues and load together. Change the ids in the config file to fix this!
However, to make life easier for you guys I have coded NB2 to work with the following mods -
If there are any other mods that add biomes, let me know and I will make sure it works with NB2 or you could just use the config file.
Seeds - If you find any cool seeds then post them on here! Make sure you write the version of the mod you are using because seeds will change as I add more biomes. All seeds will be added here.
Biomes - As of right now a lot of the images are unavailable. I been flying around in creative collecting images for this post. It is time consuming so it will be some time before I have this completely filled out. If you are feeling helpful, you may take pictures of the missing ones and send them to me.
Biomes with villages - Any biomes that isn't unreasonable for a village to spawn. For example, extreme biomes or swamps.
Biomes with horses - grass, shrubland, meadow type biomes
Biomes with emerald - black marshes, dunes, extreme dunes, and marshes. Also Massive Hills have double the emerald then the other biomes!

Youre going full throttle with the grass in too many biomers. Consider putting it to 95% in some and only leave 100% for one that is literally just a grassland (even then in real life it would be 98%~)
Many seems like you're using the default MC gen and letting it go wild (extreme desert/grass) while some might like that, to me it looks tacky and needs work to normalize the land noise. Yes, there is such a good thing as good land noise, but this really isnt it in those biomes. At least in those screenshots.

Overall a solid 6/10 for a biome mod. Would try!
I have to agree, as someone living in a lush plains biome I have gotten about 5 stacks of seeds from clearing out a little area of land for my home. Not a huge deal, but for a non-grassland biome, it's a bit too much :c

I'm going to clean up the grass biomes and some others. I have already started doing some clean up. I am not to fond of it as I'm exploring my own worlds.
I like the fact that it keeps to vanilla materials instead of adding hundreds of new "incompatible with everything else" new blocks and items like other biome mods seem to.
If you can make it as beautiful as Biomes O Plenty while keeping it "vanilla", I think you will have a winner with this mod.
Please consider doing something in the Nether, when I saw what Biomes O Plenty has done to it, i was amazed, vanilla Nether is just boring.
Thanks! I will keep that in mind
I like the idea with nether stuff. I agree that the nether is boring so I will look into it and see what I can pull off.
Spent an hour just walking around, its looking nice.
A few derpy trees on hills, 2x2 trees with one corner on a block and 3 in mid air, but apart from that it looks great.
Do villages spawn in this version? Didn't find any, but could just be a rubbish seed.
Also didn't see any horses, lots of pigs, sheep, cows and chickens.
I spend hours on teamspeak with Allstar602, and I can tell you that his biomes (all of them unless changed via his config) will generate villages, any biome that is mountainous will generate emeralds, and any flat biomes will spawn horses Hope this helps, and I agree, if he made a few custom trees that only used vanilla blocks but were amazing like BoP's or EBXL's, then he'd be 100% awesome!

Actually I changed the village thing a long time ago. I removed the config option, instead only biomes that make since for villages will spawn villages. I may add the config option back in later but as of right now it was bugged. Emeralds only spawn in black marshes, dunes, extreme dunes, and normal marshes since these biomes are very undesirable. I'm thinking about adding trees soon. Maybe in the update after next. Horses do spawn in flat biomes. I will update the forum post to include this information.
I like the idea of vanilla feel biomes. If this is compatable with Pam's Mods, it's a keeper! My only real dislike for vanilla is the number of ravines and caves that spawn after I settle somewhere cool.
Those are the best biomes I've ever seen, better than Vanilla but still very minecrafty (as opposed to mods adding ridiculous biomes that just don't fit). Kinda reminds me of the pre-beta1.8 experience but with much better scenery. Thing I like the most: tree-sized trees; I just can't stand Notch's mini-trees anymore.

Some hint about future releases?
I will add a future release section with details about what I plan on adding and yeah I created this because I loved the old biome experience 1.7.3 had.
I hope one of the things you re-introduce is the extreme hills being above the cloud layer. I miss making variations of Machu Pichu and Shangri La. It was kind of cool having clouds drift around your feet.
