A small tip would be taking advantage of all meta data so that this mod doesn't take up so many ID's. As it is now it really uses up extreme many ID's.
[fml.ItemTracker] The mod secretroomsmod is overwriting existing item at 1649 (dyable.common.Gold.BlueGold from Colorful_Armor) with net.minecraft.item.ItemBlock
It is the Gold Chestplate colored blue that conflicts and isn't available ingame because of this.
When I check the config it has ID 1393, but ingame it tries to use 1649 and the same with all other armors, using different ID than in the config.

Why does every ID get 256 added to them?
The minecraft engine automatically offsets item IDs by 256

Does it offset it for all mods? I found this out because I got a conflict and since I've set every ID to not have any conflicts I got surprised and if it offset every mod then it should have offset the other mod's ID's as well, wouldn't it. If it does than I shouldn't have any conflict.
I'm so confused right now.. Well, always but this time because of something.
Oh. And to re-ask my first question. Ever thought about using meta data for your mod to keep the ID's down? I'm a curious person

I am sure there is a way I can make it "unoffset" but I feel it is better if I focus my attention on other things like meta for instance and enchants. Jadd 256 to them. If it says 1000 then the item number will be 1256.I am currently working on an update to utilize meta. Hopefully have it ready in a couple days.

Alright well I basically wasted 4 days on this... but after a lot of trial and error/ as well as completely restructuring my mod. ...
I came to a conclusion... if you want them to use meta I can do that with the armor and their icons, but if you want it to show up on your character then it will all be one color no matter what color you wear. The reason being is that meta is damage... if armor takes damage then how is that going to even work... If you or someone knows a way... then let me know and I will be more than happy to redo using meta. A few good things did come out of this and that would be I understand meta a lot better now so I will use it more for future projects.
have you tried it? it should still work for 1.6.2. I am working on a couple minor changes and when its ready i will release a newer version. hopefully soon. but in the meantime. this version should work

Well, I have thought about this in the past. If enough people want this... I will do it.
may I ask for what purpose?
I ditched the second ad link. Sorry it was so annoying.
Are we talking like being able to two tone armor or just use a second dye to add variants?
Not sure. I haven't tested it yet, but if it doesn't, it will in a couple days
Other than that, I love it

Just with item IDs. block Ids match up.
Here check this out. http://www.minecraftforge.net/forum/index.php/topic,8608.msg43323.html#msg43323 That explains it pretty well.
