I have a bit of a problem, I played once and tried to play again but I got a crash report. It said there was a problem "loading wall jump settings" and it got a NullPointerException. Any help?
Go into .minecraft\config, and delete the file named "walljump.txt". for some reason some of the settings were saved, but others weren't, giving the NullPointerException. Just delete the file and run Minecraft again, all should be good.
No, it's fine with me. I like the new features, but have you not worked out why wall jumps aren't resetting fall distance?
Somewhat. As far as I knew, the fall damage was because of the fall distance variable being saved in some way, so when I reset it nothing happened. So, I set up a forge event which uses a custom fall damage instead of the original. It's better now, so you shouldn't take as much damage (hopfully you should take exactly the right amount).
Is that for the next update? It still seems like you take as much fall damage.
You shouldn't do. I tested myself and you take approximately how much you would normally take falling from the same distance. Consider that you are still falling; if you wall jump then fall 4 blocks to the ground, you'd still take fall damage using the vanilla algorithm.

I would, but I find it's quite important that you can use this mod on a vanilla or Bukkit server without the server neding to have it installed in any way. That means, any items or blocks cannot be added, sadly. It's a possibility for a future update, though.
Unfortunately most public bukkit servers see the wall jump as some kind of foreign action, and teleport you back to where you were before you did the wall jump. At least it stops you cheating
Yeah, I guess it's not very fair on people who don't have the mod installed if you can wall jump and they can't, especially if this means you can get an advantage (like, say, in PvP).

Would it be too much to ask for a downgrade v1.1 for 1.5.1?
Yep, that's being added in the next update, although so far I don't know why it still even displays in F3 mode.

Sure, I know exactly why that doesn't work anyway, as soon as I release 1.1.1 (or whatever) it should be compatible.
