So the coding is what the issue might be? Well that's sure to be a thing to look for in the future good find.
Anyway, slightly off topic, I was just over at the Tinker's Construct thread and there's a new update for that mod in the works which appears to add accessories and armor to the list of items one can make. It'd be awesome if for a future update we could get Tinker's Construct goodies exclusive to the Fossils and Archeology mod when both are used together. Besides given how important iron is in general to the F/A mod using Tinker's Construct can be a big help, it's what I've done and it's saving me tons on tools.
Besides isn't that what the DEV version was for? Both to showcase and get people excited and to investigate for bugs? Other than that obviously we shouldn't put the dev out into general release, but in general the dev was put out for only a few people for that reason.
Not necessarily nobody is really supposed to have the dev build people have it because they know how to compile it themselves I don't think tyranno or 4f(at the time) wants or wanted to give it out to us. Sure they gave out a pre release but this is a dev version not pre release. In fact in the code there's a set of numbers somewhere I can't remember it says like 0 - dev build 1 - beta or pre release 2 - full release. I think it's in the dev's best interest to not release a build GUARENTEED to have serious issues unlike pre releases which don't have as many serious issues.

Yeah you're right otherwise Kash wouldn't be able to do what he plans to do with the jurassic park edition of the mod.
??We aren't using the Revival open source code. We used the 1.3.2 source code to make JPE. JPE was started when Revival still had a dedicated team and was making big progress(around July). We are able to do what we plan to do without resorting to Revival's code, because of good coders.
Technically speaking I can distribute the dev version freely, but it doesn't feel right to do so.

Yeah that would be good for the jurassic or cretaceous update whichever comes first. Course it goes without saying we should ask the maker of the TC mod permission. I made a comment on the thread but so far no one's responded to the idea, and I'm not holding my breath since you never know how a decision goes.

Sounds interesting, but more likely for a different mod. I'd be surprised if there wasn't a "Microscopicraft" or something already.
