On the subject of prehistoric creatures my brain had another idea! Whorl shark/ Helicoprion.
If people want archaeology (< makes me see the title is spelt wrong...) Make it so there are excavation camps in some biomes where you can find A LOT more fossils and some Squidwards wearing archaeologist gear and making some rip-off deals! (1 diamond> 2 relic scrap.)

No, we are not abandoning the mod, yes lots of fixes have went in, and it seems everytime we get close...MC updates and throws a big fat monkey wrench into the gears.....

Why not? It was expected to be updated to 1.5.1 by now, considering it's been so long after the update that Mojang is now thinking of 1.6.
It's really not that hard to update a mod to the next version. You just have to fix some blockID conflicts if there are any and if the coding changed then just change the code that needs to be fixed.
the mod is in the process of being updated. from looking at the source code they have on github, there is still some work to be done, and they are working extremely hard on updating this. the update to 1.5 did break some things, so those have to be fixed before it can be released. (if you really need an estimate on how long it will take, try within this month or the next.) i am not one of the modders, so the modders are free to correct me if i have made a mistake.

Well, for a comment like this you obviously have not built a mod before, or one this size and tried to balance it between one other large mod. We have been trying hard to update this, having lots of trouble with more than just block ids and coding changes. This has an issue with the way entities are coded now, because of the changes in the code and basically the dinos are being re-written again. I apologize if we are not moving fast enough for you. We also have lives outside of this mod, I have a family and a full time job, 4f has a full time job and other obligations and runs our server, tyranno and shadow both have educations and other personal life obligations....in other words we are not robots sitting here all day everyday for you entertainment value.

Just a bit more patience will suffice. we know all of you are eagerly anticipating the next update (as are we), otherwise all of you wouldn't be asking every day.
We know it's urgent to get this out soon and shadow is working through whatever critical changes there are, but all we can really do is ask for your patience. Its stressful for the team as it is. So yes; we know, we know.
