This Mod has been in dev since 1.2.5. This is now available for 1.5.2. This has been one of my favorite mods to work on. I was also part of the F/A revival team...here...and have their support for this as well.I havent much time at the moment, family issues and things, however I will update to 1.6 when it comes out.
I am no longer developing this mod. Time has become short and I have some other projects I am still working on. Between family, job, and other things in my real life I just dont have the time to work on this and my other mods too. Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause anyone. However you can still follow the ideas from this mod in their new home. MisterFiber and his team over at EBXL have taken over the code and will be adding some of the features that make this mod great to the content of EBXL.

Mod Info
This mod is about more than just trees, as the title implies. MTJT was originally a mod intended to add a few trees and biomes to the game that may have been odd and even strange. I thought trees in the nether were needed, as well as actual pines and some more fruit types. I quickly added crop trees as opposed to fruit, trees to the nether and a ghost tree as well. There are also custom drops from mobs, example cows poop. I also have added some strange animals to the mod. The easy rider spider, and a flyable chicken (which is now SMP compatible). There is a blue cow which is a combination of MooShroom and regular cow and part chicken. Intended is a pegasus, a cyntaur, and some other mobs that wont be found most anywhere else.
I have removed everything in the mod not nature related. This mod was going crazy in different directions and therefore I broke the mod down into 5 different pieces. This is the remainder of the MTJT mod, just trees and flowers and some other nature related things. Also some other stuff that didnt fit into the other parts of the mod, torches for example. There are also a few blocks that didnt fit anywhere else and stayed here as well.
I would also like to extend some credit to greyjusticar, the successor of Psientists mods for allowing me to use the textures for some of the plants I have made that are based on all the plants that Psientist had created back in 1.7.3. The breakdown for the MTJT mods is as follows.....
This mod adds the following to the games content....
Mobs
Tall Chicken - drops a chicken drop that can be used as fuel, also drops a big feather. Tall chickens do spawn naturally..
Goat - basically a neutral mob, does nothing special at all
Flying Chicken, or SkyChicken - They do spawn naturally in some custom biomes, but do nothing special really. You can right click on them and fly them around
Blue Cow - is a mob I created out of boredom. I wanted to see how many attributes from other animals I could come up with that would fit into the cow somewhat nicely without looking to much. The blue cow will allow you to milk it like normal with a bucket, but will also give you soup like the regular cow, can be sheared like the mooshroom and gives leather back when you do. The blue cow also lays eggs. When struck by lightning, much like the pig dies and spawns a zombie pigman, the blue cow will die and spawn a zombie, or mad cow.
Easy Spider - naturally spawns in some custom biomes, and is also rideable and controllable. No more stick needed to control either.
PunchSheep - I liked the old sheep and wanted to bring them back. I do have one small problem with them though, when you punch them you get 2 to 6 blocks of wool, and can only pickup half of them....working on it.
Removed.....Wandering cow, and a cat and a few dogs...
Also added poop to vanilla cows, they naturally drop poop, let me know if I should lengthen the time between poops, or shorten it...

Updates
Version 2.2 updated to MC Version 1.5.2
In version 2.1 all GUI blocks now function correctly, the forge block will repair your items cost free, except for the material required to recraft the item, cost free means no XP points needed to craft them. Will try to add naming to the forge block also. Builder block has no fully replaced the smiths bench, all recipes that worked in the smiths bench crafting table also work in the builder block. Added recipes for the tree house and snowman. The spirit table will craft your enchanted items, again no XP points needed. This will enchant the items, tools, weapons and armor to a max level enchant. Added a bag of poop for my custom trees, they will instantly generate now, provided enough area to do so and reducing your stack of poo by one. I have to fix the trees to generate on the spot, also added a poo drop to the cows. Cows will now naturally poop, dont worry no base files were edited for this.
In version 2.0 mod has been successfully updated to 1.5.1 and have straightened many things out. My custom Biome Decorator has had issues in this update and was removed. Flowers and trees all have their own generator and are spawning better, though there is still work to be done. Sheep, cows, squid and Ocelots all have custom drops. The custom enchantment table is now working, A new crafting table has been added and the old one will be removed soon, the new one has a 5x5 grid for making larger structures like the tree house and the snowman house. The anvil block does work, though I will be changing it to a custom 2x2 grid like the enchantment table and will cost material instead of XP points. The work hammer and the black book both take damage when crafted in recipes. The damage levels for those still need work. Recipes for the enchantment table are still being worked out. A new update will be posted in the next day or so to add better recipes for this, and pics as well. Also these will be a bit costly, though you will get a max enchanted tool, weapon, or armor piece. Textures have been updated, well some of them, most are still 16x16, however some are now 32x or 64x and even 128x like the flowers. This make the textures look better and pleasing to the eye. The config file is now the same as the mod name...MTJT...I plan to add support for the biomes of EBXL and support in the config will also include spawn rate for trees and flowers and I hope to add support in the config for the custom world type so you can choose what biome is loaded in the world type.

in version 1.6 I added a nice particle effect for the white dandelion that when the block is broken it looks like the seeds are blowing away. I removed the forge for now as it has been driving me nuts that it is not costless as intended and I cant figure out how to do so. It will return in the MC 1.5.x updates with a new gui and a different way of being set up. The flying chicken should also return thanks to Shadow for figuring out how packets work and should not be flyable and SMP compatible. Controls to the spider may change too.
In version 1.3 I have added several new flowers...
Arrow Cactus - This shoots arrows at any player within a 16 block radius, though I plan to reduce this, and was coded by Shadowbeast007 of the F/A Revival mod team.
Twilight Rose - This glows at night and not supposed to glow during the day and again coding help by Shadowbeast007.
There are more, and pics can be seen (soon) at my mod page on google, some of these were inspired by Psientists mods from 1.7.3 and use his textures, though I am still awaiting a reply from him as to the status of yes or no, so these textures are subject to change. No code from his original mods were used in the creation of these flowers.
I have added 9 more trees as well, three Japanese Trees with graphics for the logs and leaves by 4f6f3b from the F/A Revival mod team. A treehouse, currently only in creative mode, and will soon have loot in the chests. Also added some crop trees, cantaloupe, squash, cucumber, potato and carrot. Three of them have no drops yet still working on the blocks for the crops. I added 9 new ores and 9 new items for the ores. Many of the trees
Some of the trees use schematics from MCSchematics repo for free use of schematics and all. They have been decompiled to java code so I could generate them easily in the world. There will be one more 1.4.7 update in which I will fix some minor bugs, tweak a few things and add some bushes. One notable tweak is the wolf tree, it now randomly drops wolves in a smaller chance as opposed to a wolf every block of leaves.
In the 1.5 update coming soon I will be adding the butterflies from the 1.2.5 butterfly mod from Daveyx0. I was given permission for this or they would not be added. The 1.5 update will come when the 1.5.1 update is released.

Just an update, above is a list of the items and blocks and all in the mod except the mobs. Most of the items work now, except where mentioned. If all goes well this weekend I should have pics of all crafting recipes and a download. Download will be posted here and on the wiki that should be available soon, and most pics will be posted there as well. In all the mod is developing well and should be a fun little mod to play with. When the first build is complete I will be focusing on a new biome decorator and a new world type with just the biomes I have created. I will also be focusing on my other mod more too, Police Force, which adds a lot of cool stuff....
So glad this is now a full fledged mod and no longer a WiP. Loving the trees and flowers and all the new biomes. You have some really unique ideas and I am looking forward to seeing where this goes. Keep up the good work.

Thanks very much...I appreciate it, I can only hope other like it as much as you and I do....small update the mobs are now rideable on server too....
it is out....in the downloads spoiler....use version 1.3 in SSP only for now. It does work for server too, but riding any mob that is rideable will crash the server...The nest update will be out in a few days and will be server ready as the issue with the mobs has been resolved.
This weeks update will have fix log drops, fixed oriental tree trunks, fixed tree spawning, fixed alpha grass, fixed flower spawning, and most of all and thanks to Shadowbeast007, defensive plants which include arrow cacti and fire breathers. Also coming is one more new tree.
working to find a way for other mod structure spawning....not quite sure where to look for answers. Possibly when the mod becomes more popular I can work with the other mods modders to make this happen....

For example the blue cow. It does both the mooshroom and the cow and lays eggs. I am also going to add a function to it to allow for other ways the player can interact with it...

It is like a little white guy with a spinning head. I'm not sure what it does but it can make plants grow in where he walks.

Ugh...that is not what I pictured at all for a forest spirit. I would not want that kind of creature in my minecraft world. It looks more like an imp or goblin or alien. I pictured more of a fairy type creature with wings. It doesn't have to be a pretty type of fairy or could be part plant/tree but that image is not the type of creature that I could see taking care of things in nature.
I actually kind of like it, try to picture it more blocky, and it makes flowers grow where ever it goes it cool, I am sure Shadow can make that part happen, awesome...
I will have the newest compiled tonight and have some new pics for the thread and try to update some of the info too. I have lots of new stuff going on and lots of ideas coming. I cleaned up some code, but still have some issues with the flowers spawning in the wrong biomes. Some trees look similar and I will have to retexture some of the leaves to make them more distinct from each other. Next update though. LoL...I absolutely hate it. Reminds me of some of the horror type games that have weird alien monsters chasing you. I hope if you do add something like that you can configure it to be turned off. It might appeal to the guys that play...but speaking from a female point of view...I would turn off any biome that it appeared in rather than have it in my game.

I have to fix the trees to generate on the spot, also added a poo drop to the cows. Cows will now naturally poop, dont worry no base files were edited for this.
In version 2.0 mod has been successfully updated to 1.5.1 and have straightened many things out. My custom Biome Decorator has had issues in this update and was removed. Flowers and trees all have their own generator and are spawning better, though there is still work to be done. Sheep, cows, squid and Ocelots all have custom drops. The custom enchantment table is now working, A new crafting table has been added and the old one will be removed soon, the new one has a 5x5 grid for making larger structures like the tree house and the snowman house. The anvil block does work, though I will be changing it to a custom 2x2 grid like the enchantment table and will cost material instead of XP points. The work hammer and the black book both take damage when crafted in recipes. The damage levels for those still need work. Recipes for the enchantment table are still being worked out. A new update will be posted in the next day or so to add better recipes for this, and pics as well. Also these will be a bit costly, though you will get a max enchanted tool, weapon, or armor piece. Textures have been updated, well some of them, most are still 16x16, however some are now 32x or 64x and even 128x like the flowers. This make the textures look better and pleasing to the eye. The config file is now the same as the mod name...MTJT...I plan to add support for the biomes of EBXL and support in the config will also include spawn rate for trees and flowers and I hope to add support in the config for the custom world type so you can choose what biome is loaded in the world type.

in version 1.6 I added a nice particle effect for the white dandelion that when the block is broken it looks like the seeds are blowing away. I removed the forge for now as it has been driving me nuts that it is not costless as intended and I cant figure out how to do so. It will return in the MC 1.5.x updates with a new gui and a different way of being set up. The flying chicken should also return thanks to Shadow for figuring out how packets work and should not be flyable and SMP compatible. Controls to the spider may change too.
In version 1.3 I have added several new flowers...
Arrow Cactus - This shoots arrows at any player within a 16 block radius, though I plan to reduce this, and was coded by Shadowbeast007 of the F/A Revival mod team.
Twilight Rose - This glows at night and not supposed to glow during the day and again coding help by Shadowbeast007.
There are more, and pics can be seen (soon) at my mod page on google, some of these were inspired by Psientists mods from 1.7.3 and use his textures, though I am still awaiting a reply from him as to the status of yes or no, so these textures are subject to change. No code from his original mods were used in the creation of these flowers.
I have added 9 more trees as well, three Japanese Trees with graphics for the logs and leaves by 4f6f3b from the F/A Revival mod team. A treehouse, currently only in creative mode, and will soon have loot in the chests. Also added some crop trees, cantaloupe, squash, cucumber, potato and carrot. Some of the trees use schematics from MCSchematics repo for free use of schematics and all. They have been decompiled to java code so I could generate them easily in the world. There will be one more 1.4.7 update in which I will fix some minor bugs, tweak a few things and add some bushes. One notable tweak is the wolf tree, it now randomly drops wolves in a smaller chance as opposed to a wolf every block of leaves.
In the 1.5 update coming soon I will be adding the butterflies from the 1.2.5 butterfly mod from Daveyx0. I was given permission for this or they would not be added. The 1.5 update will come when the 1.5.1 update is released.

Do you have a picture/image of what it looks like?
if its an oddball enough idea, I am all for it, as this mod is all about the crazy tree types, nice biomes and some really cool flowers. My mobs especially are the most odd ball. For example the blue cow. It does both the mooshroom and the cow and lays eggs. I am also going to add a function to it to allow for other ways the player can interact with it...
Its really nice to have followers....I should be testing the latest tonight....20+ new trees, 10 new flowers and 6 new biomes...all goes well we will have a new build by tomorrow night....yay.....also still planning to add the pegasus we talked about on the F/A thread....

It is like a little white guy with a spinning head. I'm not sure what it does but it can make plants grow in where he walks.

Ugh...that is not what I pictured at all for a forest spirit. I would not want that kind of creature in my minecraft world. It looks more like an imp or goblin or alien. I pictured more of a fairy type creature with wings. It doesn't have to be a pretty type of fairy or could be part plant/tree but that image is not the type of creature that I could see taking care of things in nature.
I will have the newest compiled tonight and have some new pics for the thread and try to update some of the info too. I have lots of new stuff going on and lots of ideas coming. I cleaned up some code, but still have some issues with the flowers spawning in the wrong biomes. Some trees look similar and I will have to retexture some of the leaves to make them more distinct from each other. Next update though. After this there may be one more 1.4.7 to get in the trades and some other things, custom particle for the dandelion, but it will be the last one, as the F/A mod team and I have decided to start updating to 1.5.1, which means this one too...

LoL...I absolutely hate it. Reminds me of some of the horror type games that have weird alien monsters chasing you. I hope if you do add something like that you can configure it to be turned off. It might appeal to the guys that play...but speaking from a female point of view...I would turn off any biome that it appeared in rather than have it in my game.
