Some things to check:
Is SGCraft listed when you press the Mods button on the main screen?
Is there an SGCraft jar file in the mods folder?
Does it match the version of Minecraft you're using?
Is it compatible with the version of Forge you have installed? (Forge version number shows in the bottom left corner; see the SGCraft download page for recommended Forge versions.)
Are there any SGCraft-related error messages on the Development Console tab of the launcher?
Wow, the Stargate even locks in the Chevrons and everything when you connect to another gate. I hope you continue to update this as it is amazing. The only annoying thing is remembering the gate addresses
I use a book and quill to keep track of all the addresses in my creative worlds
Where exactly do I find the crystals? I haven't seen any and I have a lot of naquada to build about one and a half stargates right now.
And does this mod generate random stargates throughout the world?
They have a chance of turning up in any of the loot-bearing chests, along with other stargate components. You can also get them by trading with Tok'ra villagers.

Yes, in fact they're fairly easy to find if you know where to look. (Hint: The Goa'uld and ancient Egyptian society are connected.)

Please don't stop developing this mod I like this sooo much more than Lanteacraft. It just looks more natural in the world of Minecraft... Lanteacraft looks like it belongs in a game like Gmod not to insult the mod creator or Gmod but Minecraft to me at least has a different feel and Ultra HD graphics in a world made of blocks just looks ugly in my OPINION .
I just tested the 1.6.4 version, this mod indeed is amazing, It would be perfect if it had support for other types of energy like buildcraft mj, industrial craft eu and so on. Maybe even a gregtech based recipe and configurable energy consuption, using a big burst on the start from its internal storage (maybe some upgrades?). And for last, some kind of galaxy map with the galacticraft one showing lots of planets to be visited, the futher the more energy cost it would have, something like in the series idk, and to dont leave galacticraft out of it, they could make new tiers of rockets, using some kind of upgraded warp drive to reach theses far planets, maybe even some new kind of fuel. Well just ideias, that would be cool =D.
Um there appears to be a problem with the latest version, im not sure if its forge or the mod or both but aparently the blocks and items become unloaded when you switch maps.

Is this with regular Miinecraft or MCPC? Can you provide more detail? I'm not experiencing any such problems with regular Minecraft.
I finally registered on this site so I could post to say thanks for this mod!. I stumbled upon the 1.6 version of this mod a couple months ago while looking for stargate related downloads for the sims 3. This mod was what motivated me to purchase/play minecraft in the first place.
I love the new features and updates for the 1.7 version. Are there any plans to add anything else, such as the SG1-style transport rings?
I have a little problem with the 1.7.2 version of this great mod.
The ores do not generate, i've created multiple worlds and i can not find the Naquadah ores anywhere. Does this happen for anyone else? How can i fix it?
can you plz add all these planets you can go to when you click on the stargate controller can there be icons on top showing planet names and when you click on one it takes you to that planet plzzzz that would be epic cause at the moment it's mainly only a teleporter which is quiet booring

To, add, planets, you, need, add, new, biomes, to, be, worth, it. I, thing, that, is, far, beyond, the, reach, of, this, mod. At, least, for, now...........
You can use this alongside Mystcraft and Galacticraft, if you want it to be more interesting. In this mod are more important things to implement right now. Maybe someone will share his world save with sgcraft, mystcraft and list of gate addresses leading to many mystcraft worlds, but that might be unlikely.

There are more buttons on your keyboard some of them are usually used for punctuation so try to learn how to use them plzzzzzz it will make much more easier to read your posts understand it and write an answer

Greg, I found some small bugs:
1)
It's possible to connect to unfinished gate. Basically when I put base block somewhere it acts like finished gate for incoming connections. Because I knew the adress, I was able to connect to single "base block". Of course I wasn't able to get back, when I went through, because there wasn't event horizon, but it worked one way. This can be used as a cheaty one way teleport, because we need only resources for a base block and well, that isn't too immersive.
2)
Wrong rotating, when dialing with chevron upgrade. Symbol ring isn't rotating to right locking positions. Symbols are just slightly off the chevrons when locking. It's not that terrible, but it is quite visible especialy with highres textures. (I actually was thinking that I'm doing something wrong, when working on my symbol textures, but it's apparent even with the original ones.) Without chevron upgrade is everything fine.
p.s.
Talking about chevron and symbol positions. It is just a slight detail, but I would like to see even spacing between all nine chevrons. The way it is in the movie and SG-1 series. Like this:
And again well, dialing sequence....I understand you don't want to make an exact copy of the series, but it would be just nice adition for all the fans.
Anyway, nice work on the mod.

how do we use the 1.7.2 version, i hav forge with 1.7.2 and put it in the mods folder and it shows in plugins but in creative i don't see any of the sgcraft stuff anywhere

ladies and gentlemen here is the version with the horny textures.
LanteaCraft is based on Greg's SGCraft, but is updated to work with 1.6.4
I hope that soon the textures are just as good and an iris comes in.
