Please downlaod the new and improved version of ForgeEssentials, version 1.1! it shoudl fix the majority of the errors that everyone has been having as of late.
Regarding further plans.. 1.2 is the place for full WorldEdit functionality, channel-based and ranged chat, a proper compelted API, and MUCH MUCH MORE!
Hold on, guys, we are aware of the "admin" node issues for permissions. It's taken care of, we're just making sure everything else is as it's supposed to be before pushing 1.1.1.
I think you're having a similar problem to what someone else on IRC was, WebMaka. When we push out 1.1.1, I'll need you to test it again.
I'm F5ing the release list like a maniac, hehehe...
BTW, aside from having to manually recreate the groups/perms, the only issue I've encountered is that I'm showing as a member of the owners group when I do a "/p user _me_ perms", but have no permissions and my prefix doesn't show up. (I had previously done a "/p group owners allow _ALL_".) The head admin on the server is getting the same.

_ALL_ checking was shown to be broken earlier, I think. Next recommended should fix that too.
I was wondering if you can implement Tpa and Tpaaccept and Tpadeny that would be awesome if you can.
Also I was wondering if there was some kind of inheritance systems for the perms if not it would be awesome if you can put it in.
Khaleel
There is a "parent" option for each group ("/p group _groupname_ parent set _parentame_"), although I don't know if parental inheritance is implemented yet.
good job shill, you are nearly spot on with all of that..
only thing is that I reccomend the use of //fewand to select the zones... And the subnodes...
allowEdits block breaking and placing allowBlockInteractions acesing chests, furnaces, dispensers, etc allowEntityInteractions mobs and players, think milking cows.. overrideProtection Gives the group the power to disregard any of the above permissions.
If I allow my players to set up their own zones with //fewand will they be able to set permissions within their zones without having been given access to the normal global /p command. I would hate to give everyone access to edit permissions.
Almost forgot:
Is there a way to see info about the zones other than the listing given by /zone list?
Is there a way to see what players are in what groups? For instance a list of the players in group Guests.
Ok now that I have WorkBench down pat, I have a question...
I have all new players defaulting to the "Members" group, I have "ZONEID 6 - WORLD_Overworld_0" and
"ZONEID 7 - WORLD_Mining Age_11". For the "Members" group I want them to be able to build but not mine in the Overworld and mine but not build in the Mining Age.
This release was yet another one of bug-fixes.. we realized there were a few more issues with the permissions that are now fixed... Take a look at the change log

Yes.

Thanks
EDIT: Nevermind, saw the "stuff" section of the config file, specifically the "B:import=false" line.
EDIT 2: Aaaaand that did nothing.
Aside from copying the export folder and naming the duplicate "import," that's what I did. No joy. So I recreated 'em manually.

Ah, okees. Any ideas on why it won't even show the appropriate prefixes for admins/owners?

Procedure for setting up a zone.
Select the two opposite corners by:
//pos1 x y z
//pos2 x y z
define the selected area as a zone with:
/zone define <zone name or ID>
example;
//pos1 1600 1 1200
//pos2 1800 256 1300
/zone define Spawn
Then allow or deny permissions by group to this zone by:
/p group <groupname> <allow/deny> <perm> <zone name or ID>
Example:
/p group Guests deny ForgeEssentials.Protection.allowEdits Spawn
/p group Guests deny ForgeEssentials.Protection.allowBlockInteractions Spawn
/p group Guests deny ForgeEssentials.Protection.allowEntityInteractions Spawn
Question, what do the subnodes control
subnodes:
allowEdits block breaking?
allowBlockInteractions placement and access of chests?
allowEntityInteractions Mobs Players?
overrideProtection ?

How would I do this?
