With a little testing from RaNebow, we were able to isolate that the internal MagicalCrops compatibility doesn't load very well (if at all) on a MCPC+ server. As I'm not familiar with how MCPC+ interacts with Forge mods, I ended up reworking the previously posted compatibility patch, which doesn't seem to have this issue, to ensure that the full spectrum of crops get registered with the MFR Harvester, Planter, and Fertilizer.

I am actually quite happy with this mod... Except for the fact that the wiki is extremely lacking in recipes. I am now stuck with stacks and stacks of essence dust and have NO IDEA what to do with it.

I also suggest adding a "book" like thing in this mod, as loading up firefox and/or any browser while minecraft is running makes my computer crash. Adding the "book" which could be a rare drop from tall grass, you could craft it, or you just spawn with it, would contain all the recipes that the mod has in it, something like tinkers construct. I don't have NEI either, as I have attempted to install it multiple times, and on all the occasions my minecraft proceeded to murder itself in every possible way. From crashing to completely deleting the .minecraft folder.
NEI is lovely, but I'd love documentation. at the moment four essence dust arranged in a diamond shape (top, left, right, bottom) yields a weak essence, and depending on version it's either the same pattern of weak for regular or that pattern plus a dust in the middle for a regular essence. From weak you can craft coal and some other plants, I think redstone and glowstone are available at regular strength as well as the passive and lower tier soul crops.

You need a new mod review huh? Would this work? I am pretty sure I covered most everything in a 20 minute video. Also I really like the idea of adding the ores of all the made mods into this one. Good idea.

The recipe for buckets of lava is 4 fire essence around a bucket. A recipe for oil could be 4 oil essence around a bucket. Make the crafting of oil seeds use strong magic essence and it would be expensive enough I think. 4 buckets of oil, 4 strong essence and a seed.

Thaumcraft 4.1 just came out so Magic Crops doesn't have the new API yet. That being said, I'm currently using Magic Crops Beta 6 and Thaumcraft 4.1.0 and I am not experiencing any crashes at all. Are you getting this at startup?

This itself doesn't actually rely on the API, nor the offending smelting call; you should be able to just delete the offending API files in the MagicalCrops zip distribution without repercussion.

I do not know what to recommend. I use all of those except MFR myself, plus Advanced Thaumaturgy, and I have not encountered this crash at all. You use quite a few mods, perhaps it is something else?

p.s. I am working on spotlight for your mod which currently placeing stuff for it is lot more work then you would think.
I am having to disable the food crops until I can edit the ID's or I get a correct config.
If this is the beta version, the normal crops are configured through a separate file, 'standardcrops'.
Ah ok yeah that is what I was looking for.
If the intention was to make multiple cfg files this mod should have them in a separate folder in the config because in the current state it is messy.
