After resolving some in-mod id-conflicts with peridot and aluminum the mod works. Looking over the new element recipes with NEI reveils that there's no recipe for sand. No need for gravel, but sand is needed for making glass. Please add an element recipe for glass sand
Downloaded and starting the game with the new version. The changelog looks like it will be great. I'll let you know if I find anything I'm concerned about or bugs.
i can't tell if this is a bug or a problem with my specific hardware setup/pc configuration/etc but i'm getting a tiny framerate "hiccup" as if the game is getting stuck on processing something for a moment every time i break or replant a magical crop in 3.1.4.
e: upon further investigation, this is actually happening upon placement or breaking of any block, but it only seems to be happening when i'm standing near the crops. super weird.
e^2: rolled back to 3.1.3 for testing and it's still doing it, coulda sworn that it wasn't before but could be my imagination. likely doesn't actually have anything to do with magicalcrops.
Hey, decided to peek in to check the latest update...Overall, it looks VERY good, especially the fact that these things acting like normal crops again, which I am VERY happy about...but there's two things -
1: What are Sapphires, Rubies and Peridot from? Just out of curiosity?
2: ...Didn't I give you custom textures for elemental essences? o.o

Try turning the particle effects on the crops off in the configs, that may help.

The 3 gems are from project red, and did you? I couldn't find anything send me them again and I'll use them no problem.

I take in all suggestions and comments on my mods, even if I don't reply I have logged it somewhere.
The ability to craft 2 x blaze powder into a blaze rod has introduced a bug when mod's exist that allow you to turn a blaze rod into more than 2 x blaze powder such as thermal expansion.
you could change the recipe for blaze rod's to require more powder i recommend 5 or more since TE allows the creation of 4 blaze powder and a byproduct from pulverizing
I do not know about IC2 macerating or Ender IO as i do not have either installed.
A more solid fix would be to use the already existing Blaze Essence in crafting blaze rods which would negate any possibility of duplication

This still has not helped me. Also, eventually my log starts spamming with "Taking too long processing particle! Too many living entities?" and this noticeably causes my cursor to appear. The slowdown disappeared entirely when I turned off particles but the above message still eventually plays. But this is all with the 1.5.2 version and I don't know if you've spent any time fixing it for later versions.

follow-up on this. i had a reasonably sized roughly ring-shaped area surrounded by carpenter's barriers, separated into quadrants, two with magical crops, one with wheat, and one with an MFR planter/harvester combo. i removed the crops first, problem persisted. removed the power source and the cabling from the MFR machines.. problem persisted. finally removed the fences and the problem went away. totally baffling since i haven't heard of people having such problems with carpenter's blocks, generally.

It's not actually a bug but an exploit, and it's been discussed before. I think Mark's solution was to make a config option to turn off the recipe so that if people don't want to exploit available then they can turn off the recipe. I prefer that solution than making the recipe more expensive, since that would in effect require me to pulverize all my blaze rods. As it is I have the choice to not pulverize them, but craft blaze rods in a regular crafting table from blaze powder if I need blaze rods from blaze powder.
It is in fact a bug unless the author intended blaze rods to be obtainable through exploitation of said bug which as you state he doesn't. It is also an exploit, a specific category of bug, which is simply put the act of using a bug for benefit. Please don't correct me with false information.
either way only one of my suggestions required making the recipe more expensive. the logical solution would be to create a recipe for blaze essence which crafts a blaze rod from 2 maybe 4 essence which is far far less controversial than adding in the ability to craft a blaze rod from vanilla items.
OK, Lots of issues with the blaze powder recipe, so I have decided to remove the blaze powder to blaze rod recipe and instead blaze essence will now make blaze rods and not powder.
Hopefully this will solve any duplication issues.

if you want to go towards thaumcraft compatibility, you would need the 6 "primal" aspects as they are called. Air (aer), water (aqua), earth (terra), fire (ignis), order (ordo), and entropy (perditio). everything branches up from there. order and entropy are basically light and dark respectively for clarity. I like what you did with the current elemental plants though. helps for when you don't have any way to get those blocks.

It's an old file, but there ya go. Left to right, Water, Fire, Life, Stone, Air, Earth. That's just the old preview pic, to make it easier to show which ones i'm referencing. Here's the proper sized file of that and the rest of my work, in case ya ever needed it:
It's a little scattered, but here it is.

Resident Thaumaturge cake-dragon at your service o:
stone is a part of the earth category so i don't see the point in having a specific stone element, especially when it makes up at least 80% of the world and there are so many ways to obtain it even in vanilla. it could be argued that life could be made from water and earth the way thaumcraft did it but that could be a viable element paired with death or a term synonymous with death.

glasssandEdit: Not glass, but sand, s'il vous plait.
Thank you for the new textures.
This obviously was a lot of work.
