Alright i found some (not a whole bunch but enough) but i was wondering if you have given it some thought about upping the ME cable amount you get from crafting since machines take the crystals and the cable take dust four seems a lil low to me when BC/log pipes gives 8 pipes for their crafting recipes.
an Iron Pipe takes 2 Ingots ( Crystals ) and yields 8 Pipes
an 2 Crystals ( 8 Dust ) Yield 8 Cable, + 2 Dusts.
so depending on how you look at it Ingot / Crystal wise they are technically cheaper.
Alright not a problem just a suggestion. On another note though iv only been able to find maby 2 quartz ore in my dense world ( my quarry hit bed rock twice) i do 10x15 on my quarry but still havnt found anymore.Dunno what is the problem read through the posts seems the other people who use it can find it no problem.Just incase it is on my end im increasing the size of my quarry to 20x30 in my mining age if that doesnt work ill be doing it in overworld along with making a new age to see if i can find anymore.Ill keep you posted.
Oh iv got a few little (or maybe big?) tweaks/additions I would like to see
can we have an upgrade system for the matrix and arrays.. (I keep wanting to call them drives)
it would be fine if you made it so you had to clear all the data off of them before upgrading as part of the cost, and/or a way to move all existing data from one matrix/array to another?
also maybe a drive bay monitor type block that will tell you the status of all installed Matrix/Arrays. info like storage remaining and such, alternatively this can maybe be integrated into the controller block or maybe add a durability bar to the matrix/arrays?

I might consider this option, maybe it could let you dis-assemble a Storage Cell back into the Components or something. ( which would let you use the comments to make a bigger cell )
Copying the contents of one drive to another is possible you just need to use a ME-Chest / filter / wooden pipe or something, in rv3 you can use an ImportBus to extract from an ME-Chest ( currently this doesn't work the way you might expect. )

The back of the drive actually has two bars that fill up to show storage space, one shows the number of types it can hold, and the other shows the number of items it can hold, of course its never going to be perfect because of the way that cells work, but its kinda helps give you can idea if you need more depending on how you use the drives this could be better or worse.
Is there any possibility that you might lower the height at which the quartz spawns, or at least make it configurable? This mod is amazing, and I'd like to use it as a high-density storage solution to replace my extremely fickle barrel system. Unfortunately, my quarry is drilling at Y-level 10, and isn't running into any quartz at all.
It just doesn't feel right having the quartz spawn at a higher altitude. It's a metamorphic crystal, shouldn't it be deeper in the crust?
Applying your crazy real life knowledge to minecraft, shame on you! J/K.
I was pondering adding a few more options, like density to the config so it can be tweaked, this might help users that don't want to re-boot their world just to play with AE.
I'll see about throwing in some kinda of depth adjustment as well.
Hmm...how would I go about putting the contents of one cell into another? A have a storage cell that's pretty full of only cobblestone, but I want to transfer all of that cobble into a storage matrix. Is there already a device that does that, and I over-looked it?

The easiest way I have come up with in rv2 is to use a rp2 filter ( or a BC wooden pipe w/ engine ) to pull it out the cell in a chest, and then pipe/tube it into an interface.
rv3 lets you use Input/Output buses on interfaces/chests so you could do that later.. but that doesn't help you now, in any case that's not quite as fast even if it is only ME parts.
There i no dedicated ME data transfer block at this time, tho its seeming like lots of people might not mind having one, if I people think that would be cool I could add one.
I wouldn't mind having something like that in my survival world would make it easier to sort the items instead of taking them out stack by stack in order to put them in the right place. And for the quartz not spawning i dont think the depth needs to be tweaked to much more the rareity of it cuz i find more diamonds/gold then i do quartz.

Is that kinda what your looking for?
Indeed. I could try using that filter and chest setup, but I have over 40 thousand pieces of cobble, and I think that it'd just be more efficient to throw the old matrix somewhere, and just make a new one. What would be a cool function of the terminal, would be a way to select which storage matrices are displayed.

The quartz does seem to be rarer than diamond, and what makes it worse, is that it only spawns as one block. Luckily I have a fortune 3 pickaxe that I use to mine them

You could always pull out the cells and throw them in a chest to see which one has the cobble,
or pre-emptively you could pre-format cells to just store your throw away items,
or you could use an output bus to pump the cobble into an incinerator or something.
Not sure about selecting which store-age cell o display, that to me sounds like a lot of trouble .

Hmm I'll have do more testing on this, World gen is difficult to get right, when I fixed it last time it might have ended up rarer the I wanted it to be... I need to come up with a more concrete way of measuring how much Quartz is in an area or something..

Don't make the quartz less rare, maybe make it have a lower spawn altitude, and spawn in a bit larger chunks.
Well i did a test on a new world and built a 20x20 quarry on a mount ( y80) and mined straight to bed rock and only got about 4 crystals which wouldnt be bad but the controler it self would eat that up right quick lol. On another note unless someone else is willing to do a mod spotlight the earliest i can do one is in another 10 days ( due to low funds) i understand most if not all of the mod so far and im loving the newer stuff you added and cant wait for the power req and auto crafting parts of the mod (hope it comes soon before i loose my mind). Btw Hydrogen i have a diamond pick like that to but im a factory nut my house is built like a factory so i rarely leave my house since my farms ore processing storage( literaly everything i need) is in my house atm.Not rely saying make the quartz "less rare" but more of a lil balance tweak so that im not mining an entire mountain ( or in my case a whole dense world in mystcraft) in order to set up my 1-2 networks i need for sorting/filtering and auto crafting systems.

I'd be happy to do a mod spotlight once I get over this cold. It'll be a first for me, since the closest I've come to a "spotlight" is a mod installation vid for Computercraft

I have a massive RP2 tunnel bore (14 tall, 7 wide) down at Y level 10, and I don't get any quartz at all. I'm thinking of expanding the head up another 7 blocks, to get in that quartz "butter zone".
Edit: I finally ran into some quartz with my tunnel bore
It only dropped one crystal and 5 dust with my fortune pick D:
By the way AlgorithmX2, what Y level range does Quartz spawn in?

Its pretty much wide open as long as your lower then sea level, ( the level where the stone really kicks in I believe. ) based on my formula at least,
it should be more prevalent at lower depths.
Once I have a little time to tear a world apart i'll be able to confirm this... Between Work / Coding new stuff I've not really been able to play with it . So you guys are kinda my eyes / ears into how it actually plays vs how I view it while testing, which is mostly done in creative in anycase.

just curious why you use RP2 instead of the quarry from buildcraft besides the moving part the tunnel bores are more resource heavy+ more complicated to build/work. I tried RP2 but did'nt like it for the fact im mainly BC with lots of the addons/other mods like TE liquid metals railcraft etc that make up all the RP2 machines do.I do miss the allow wires going on walls and such and the logic repeaters but i prefer the old fashion way of redstone to the massive amounts of machines and blocks she adds to the game.On another note AlgorithmX2 I had an idea of maby some new content (if not alredy planned). Basicaly it would be a block ( similiar to IC2 miner combine with your sorting system/BC quarry that would allow you to specify which ores/blocks to mine using your micro managing storage system to transport it directly to the MEchest/network) of course this is only a crazy random thought and would be something to think about for your tech 5 tree. Also was looking at your grinder and dunno if it is a serious block or just as a funny thing to play around with but will there be a higher tier to the grinder that req power or is that expect gunna be left to other mods ie TE and the like to grind dusts down.

I do not believe I'll be increasing this for now.

In rv3 there are settings for for both of these.
