I copied the compressed file into the mod-folder, like all forge-mods. But this mod doesn´t show up...What should I do?
You still have to install it into the jar like normal, but make sure you do it after forge. I plan to rewrite the forge version to work that way, however.
You have ComputerCraft highlighted in orange as an incompatibility with this mod; what kind of incompatibility is that? Does it crash, or something else in-game?
(Apologies if this has been previously answered)
No problem, that is a good question! Orange means that I have not verified it. If you would like to test it, feel free!
Whats the problem caused by BWG3 ? is it game crashing, or just some slight bug? I'd really like to use this mod, so It'd be nice to know whether I have to get rid of BWG3 first...

I don't know exactly, someone said it crashes but I have not tested it.

I've tested the latest version of this mod with the new 1.1.8 of Better World Generation 3 and it is working just fine on every world type that is available. There's no crashing and snow works just like its supposed to. I think whatever issue that people were having with BWG3 and Better Snow were due to something from the 1.1.7 version of the mod.
I know this isn't an Inficraft ripoff, but have the similar features to part of Inficraft been brought up?

Let’s play good guys against bad guys… Yes. Let’s play that. Are you ready? You’re the bad guy. And when you’re bad, you just run. That’s fine right? Well… Shall we play?

Ok, I will change the title of the post. Thanks for testing it!
InfiCraft is an outdated mod that added thousands of different types of tools into the game. What he was referring to was a mod known as World Tweaks that was created by the same author which changed many miscellaneous features in the world, one of which added the ability for snow to stack like your mod.

In other words, just nevermind.
The snow stacking is actually based off of an extremely old un-implemented feature which some servers would enable. I just enabled it and improved it a lot. World tweaks probably did the same thing.
I like it, but you may want to add a short section on how to install, at least manually, so people dont have to scroll through the comments to find out how its done (.jar in this case) Still a great mod!

Yeah iv'e been needing to do an install instructions sections, but after 1.5 I am likely going to add forge server and bukkit support, and I am going to rewrite the forge version from scratch so that it can be put in the /mods folder. Currently, though, I have extremely little time to code.
Hello,
This is an amazing mod, and I would love to include it in the modpack I am compiling for my server. Would that be alright with you? I will provide a link to this post, and give you full credit for the mod.

That would be fine, even great! Please send me a link to the pack when it is ready!
I've used your mod in the past, great work, yo.
I should send you the code for my mod; seems like a good match... though it requires Forge. Then again, maybe you could figure out how to remove that dependency. http://www.minecraft...od-snow-worlds/
Nice mod! I could probably get rid of the forge dependency, but it would depend on how you coded it. I once wrote a world generator mod that added extra world types, but it was mainly just to figure out how to edit terrain generation.
I was almost done with the 1.5 update (seriously, all that was left was basically to test and to port to forge), when 1.5.1 came out and broke the update. I have been gone all weekend and I have school during the week so it may take a while. If i can find a way to do this entirely with the forge API then I may rewrite the mod as a forge mod so that It would not need updating.

I have an idea. How about during snowfall, all leaves on trees slowly start to disappear, but once the snow stops falling, they slowly begin to reappear? This would mimic how leaves fall during winter in real life.

What is infinicraft?
