Can you deploy a second version for 1.4.7?
Please?
Here's an easier solution: Update to 1.5.1. It will most likely be another 1-2 weeks before this mod is in a finished state, and by then most of the other mods should be updated.
Guys, just think of how hard it is for someone to update with people always pestering them about it. Its even WORSE when some are asking you to update, and others are asking you to DOWNGRADE.
If you currently don't have the lens being stackable is that something you could change please?
The lens system is subject to big changes. I'm thinking about a "almost fully" customizable lens system. There will be a LOT of predefined effects, which you'll be able to find out by combining different items and settings to create different effects with different powers and such...
Then, you'll be able to mix some of those effects, and their properties, to create more effects! But note that things will have limits though :/
This is gonna be completely bomb! I loved the original mod. The sheer immensity of the possibilities that you guys are putting into this are drool worthy.
I do have a somewhat pre-emptive question. Would you guys consider allowing me to include this mod in a small private server mod pack that I am putting together for myself and a few friends? Once you're done with it that is. xD
No.
I'd like to tell you guys, if I didn't already (I didn't check) that WiduX is working on UPDATING it. I'll be working on adding features to it, with meh budday Mw119. I'll talk to WiduX about his recent dead-ness inactivity.
I'm in no rush, as usual so I don't want this to be taken out of context. But are you (Webmilio) and Widux confident that you will be able to get an update out for 1.5.1 or is there a chance that it might not make it out until 1.6.x? It matters not to me, so long as I know the project is being continued and will make it out eventually I'm a happy 'camper'. Just curious.
I have no idea about that! Although 1.6.x seems more like it :/
It'd be good if Minecraft would stop freaking updating! 1.5.1 hasn't been out for a while yet.
The sad thing is that Jeb is showing no signs on slowing down his update spamming of Minecraft.
This has irritated me to no end, since I have been unable to use all the mods I enjoy or try out new ones, since they are now scattered across way too many versions of Minecraft.
I am still trapped on version 1.2.5, since that was the last time most mods were synced up with each other, and I haven't done much since 6/2/2012 because of this.
Jeb has updated the fun out of Minecraft for me, I now wait months for mods to update, just to reset my list before its even finished and not even get a chance to do anything Minecraft related.
Unlike other people, I usually don't mind waiting for mod updates, but if the mods can never be finished because of a game dev who thinks updating things is more important that actually playing the game itself, then the Minecraft modding community that Notch helped to create is going to be ruined.
Feel free to take your time with this mod, I will be waiting a long time anyway for a bunch of other mods, hoping one day I can enjoy Minecraft once again.
It going to get worse, Jeb's latest idea for Minecraft is a new launcher that will force updates and removes offline mode, version 1.6 will be the death of the Minecraft modding community.
The only mods that may survive are the few that can update right after Minecraft it self updates, which means most good mods will die off since they normally take a few weeks or longer to update.
Basically Minecraft 1.5.1 will be the last version that people can run mod heavy worlds and be able to do it when they don't have internet access all the time.

don't count on that. There are several external launchers that will get around that.
The mod is being developed for Minecraft 1.5.1.

Also, this ^.
Blame that on the texture re-structure XD.
@Widux, Webmilo: I really appreciate that you guys are continuing the work of the previous devs on this mod. Hopefully it can make a huge comeback!!!

I hope so too
It will, trust us. I plan on, as said before, adding a crap-ton of content as soon as we have a stable platform.
SoonTM

Might also be fun to see what other things come out of the new version of Laser Mod.
