hey looks like you just started this mod, it looks like it has alot of potential. I may put it on my sever depending on how glitchy it is. Most likely the defense section. But im sure if you keep up the work you would probably have a very popular mod, just dont give up no matter what.
Hey, got a world corrupting error after gen'ing a Mystcraft world with my current mod build.
It was a random book (meaning I didn't pick the settings for it) and 20-30 seconds after zoning over, I was looking around then down and crashed to desktop. I had placed one lightstone and was fixing to place another below me.
I can't get back in to the savegame either to find out what settings the book made. Upon selecting the savegame world to enter it, it gives the same crash error.
I don't know what has caused this, but was hoping someone here could help decipher it.
*edit: Ok, I removed the EmasherGas.zip from the mods folder temporarily and was able to log back in. The Mystcraft world that gen'd and has the issue has Void, Tentacles and Dark. We (wife and I) think it may have to do with being 'Void' as there is no ground, and maybe the Gas blocks are not able to place themselves.
*edit2: Did another test, and it seems the Void setting in a Mystcraft world will spawn Gas blocks (you look down and can see them) but after about 20 seconds, the gas dissipates and the game crashes with the same error below.

It's difficult to tell exactly what's causing the error. I suspect it tried to follow a pointer to a null tile entity though. I haven't used Mystcraft very much. Do void ages have no blocks between the world and the void (like bedrock)? If that's the case, it's possible that a gas block was 'placed' in the void, which caused the error, but I can't be sure. I'll definitely look into this though.
Edit: I looked at the code, and it's looking pretty likely that that was the case, assuming trying to place a block in the void doesn't crash the game.

The gas mod is still a bit of a work in progress as far as bugs go (as I'm sure you can see from other posts in this thread), but the rest are relatively bug free. Being so simple, the defense mod is probably the most bug free of the lot.
Got to report a problem with XyCraft and Gas Blocks.
Got a crash when generating new chunks of my map occasionally which said something about "Caanot place block.xycraft.crystal next to block.gas.vent".
I am sorry, I do not have the exact crash report, might try to get it again if u need it, but just a thing to look into.
I'm also seeing this with the Gas installed. Xycraft crystals can't be generated on gas blocks or something along that line.
I'd very much like to see the crash log. I've fixed a similar sounding bug (the fix will be in the next release), but I can't be sure it's the same thing unless I see the crash log.

It could be a conflict with a jar mod you have installed. The line of code that's causing the crash shouldn't be causing that sort of crash under normal circumstances. It could also just be a mod not being installed correctly.
You can find old crash logs in .minecraft/crash-reports by the way.

A lot of people use Mystcraft, it's a pretty standardly used Forge mod at this point, almost as standard as Mo's Creatures.

I know. I've used it a bit, but I tend to shy away from magic mods, so I haven't used it as extensively as many of the tech mods. In any case, I think I've fixed the issues it was causing, the fix will be in the next release.
this time i had removed your worldgen mod and cleaned my map with mcedit, the wood biome issue was fixed but the gass is still an issue
The 3rd link in your first post isn't working for me. The Other crash reports are due to the same bug with XyCraft, which I have already fixed, and the fix will be released in the next version.
As for that weridness with the wood slabs, I'm a little bit puzzled by it to be honest. Is mixed dirt showing up in NEI or the creative inventory? If so, what ID does NEI show, and what ID have you specified in the config?
Ewww ok well I just added this mod to the list of ever growing greatness and when I generated a new world I found areas completely covered in ... anvils?!!?!?!?! WTF?!?!?! Yes you heard me right.... so yeah how does this get fixed since I checked ids and there is no conflict. There is no crash report it just is.... here is a picture to show.

You can press F3 to get certain debug information including the biome name. Now, I'm going to assume for a moment that it's one of the mixed dirt covered biomes. Did you change the ID of mixed dirt, and if so, what ID did you change it to?
As I suspected the problem is that when biomes are generated, the block IDs of the blocks that are specified as the top block and filler block are taken modulo 256. So you need to set mixed dirt's ID below 256. In previous versions of Minecraft, the game simply crashed if it was higher. I've added a comment to the config warning people of this in the new version.
Anyway, I thought I'd post a screenshot of something I'm adding to the next version of Gas.
And yes, I'm adding lighthouses to WorldGen. Although, I'll be changing out those wood fences for iron bars.
I'll most likely release the updates tomorrow. I think I've fixed the incompatibility bugs, and if not, I'll do another bugfix release as soon as I can after that.

A lot of people use Mystcraft, it's a pretty standardly used Forge mod at this point, almost as standard as Mo's Creatures.

I know. I've used it a bit, but I tend to shy away from magic mods, so I haven't used it as extensively as many of the tech mods. In any case, I think I've fixed the issues it was causing, the fix will be in the next release.
The 3rd link in your first post isn't working for me. The Other crash reports are due to the same bug with XyCraft, which I have already fixed, and the fix will be released in the next version.
As for that weridness with the wood slabs, I'm a little bit puzzled by it to be honest. Is mixed dirt showing up in NEI or the creative inventory? If so, what ID does NEI show, and what ID have you specified in the config?

I have extrabiomesxl installed too... gonna post this there as well. It happens throughout all biome types. I have seen large areas effected, it's always a long rectangle that can go on for thousands of blocks, usually running e/w.
any ideas?

I'm pretty sure that's just a marsh biome from ExtraBiomesXL.
You can press F3 to get certain debug information including the biome name. Now, I'm going to assume for a moment that it's one of the mixed dirt covered biomes. Did you change the ID of mixed dirt, and if so, what ID did you change it to?

Anyway, I thought I'd post a screenshot of something I'm adding to the next version of Gas.
And yes, I'm adding lighthouses to WorldGen. Although, I'll be changing out those wood fences for iron bars.

EDIT: Ok well I sat down and went through every single config file and for future reference the block id 196 can be made free by changing middle age mods ids around a bit. So yeah now it works but that was a major pain in the but
